This is climbing quickly thanks to TikTok, up to #43 today and it's not something you'd expect to be doing so well 'Wellerman' from Bristol acapella folk group The Longest Johns, it came out in May 2018 so it on SCR! It's certainly been stuck in my head for the last few days

gave this a listen and was fun! I'd love this to even chart top 40 for one week just for the novelty of a sea shanty making it! Is this the meme of those four stereotypical lads being deep faked to sing this?

Unfortunately 220 Kid's remix doesn't feature vocals of The Longest Johns, which is a shame as I think their cover is the strongest I've heard!

The remix doesn't seem to be out yet though, the latest update is Nathan saying it's "coming very soon" earlier!

Just listened to this. It reminds me of my childhood. Not as a fisherman. As a theme tune beloved to a generation of kids to animal rights drama show for kids Folly foot and which was a hit in 1971...

unless it gets a big last minute sales push or has as rapid streaming climb, it looks set for #4 with Kid Laroi/Anne-Marie overtaking. still impressive (although I'm not a fan of the song).

The Longest Johns have released 2 new versions! One with 'The Longest Johns Community' (their fans doing chant vocals) and another *gorgeous* version with the Strings of the London Symphony Orchestra!
