Wow, nice for her! Very poor sales compared to Stronger (and that was a slow burner, which I'm pretty sure this won't be) but it's her third #1 album.

Great that Kelly of all people (very narrowly) avoided the injustice of being the first act to miss out on an official #1 despite selling the most albums. Not going to be pleased when that happens. drama.gif

1-3-2-1-2-3-1 look at that symmetrical run ohmy.gif ohmy.gif (I've omitted the #11 Greatest Hits but still ohmy.gif)

Symmetry! ohmy.gif wub.gif

On a related note, Beyoncé's album peaks in the UK so far are matching Kelly's US equivalent (1-3-2-1-2). Here's to a relative flop peak for Bey's next one to keep that potential symmetry going. sarcasm.gif

(No idea how/why I noticed that mellow.gif)

Bearing in mind the 163k 'Stronger' sold was in late October 2011 off the back of a top 10 hit, I don't think it's too surprising. Still a sizable drop off though (and that's with added streaming of course).

Looking at her album sales it's a tad surprising she's never had a properly huge opening. I really would have expected more than that for Breakaway, but I'm sure if My December had a properly popular lead single it'd have been her big opener.
