5 [7]: Alle Farben & Janieck - Little Hollywood
Peak: 01 / Month of Peak: May 2017 Alle Farben's Chart History: 2016 01 Please Tell Rosie (Alle Farben ft. YOUNOTUS) 2016 06 Bad Ideas 2017 01 Little Hollywood (Alle Farben ft. Janieck) 2018 45 Only Thing We Know (Alle Farben & YOUNOTUS ft. Kelvin Jones) Janieck's Chart History: 2017 05 Just Wanna Be With You 2017 01 Little Hollywood (Alle Farben ft. Janieck) 2018 28 Does It Matter 2018 04 To Rome (Deepend ft. Janieck) 2018 38 You Don't Have To Like It (Lucas & Steve ft. Janieck) We have a new song entering the Top 5! And oh my goodness this still sounds absolutely incredible Two of my favourite musicians from the past few years (of course who can forget Janieck's amazing vocals on Reality ) and this song is abosolute perfection. The pair have had varying success on my chart since this appearance, but this is such a summery bop and still gets me going! |

4 [4]: Finn Kleffman - Head Over Heels
Peak: 02 / Month of Peak: February 2017 Finn Kleffman's Chart History: 2017 02 Head Over Heels 2017 12 Coming Home 2017 09 Rapture of the Deep 2017 47 Freckles 2017 58 Legend of a Boy Please give this a listen if you haven't already! On first play it was quite nice but didn't do that much for me, but it very quickly grew on me and remains as good as it ever was. I know a lot of people would probably call it 'boring' hence why I've never tried it for BJSC but it's such a musical masterpiece! One of the songs that really should have reached #1 in my chart, and I'll certainly remember it |

3 [5]: Sia - Never Give Up
Peak: 01 / Month of Peak: May 2017 Sia's Chart History: 2016 04 Cheap Thrills 2016 13 The Greatest (Sia ft. Kendrick Lamar) 2016 01 Never Give Up 2017 07 Santa's Coming For Us 2018 47 Flames (David Guetta ft. Sia) Truth be told, when I started this I thought this track would fall quite a bit, but after giving it a listen it still sounds so fresh! The Indian-inspired intro is one of the big plusses of this song, and whilst Sia is such a great singer, this one really stands out in her discography for me. Such a shame it's the only one in recent years not to have been a Top 40 hit So it's Alessia vs. Declan again... any change? |

...nope!
2 [2]: Declan McKenna - The Kids Don't Wanna Come Home Peak: 01 / Month of Peak: February 2017 Declan McKenna's Chart History: 2017 01 The Kids Don't Wanna Come Home 2017 03 Brazil 2017 08 Humongous 2017 03 Why Do You Feel So Down? 2017 87 Mind 2018 13 Listen To Your Friends Now this was and is still such a topical song, and being the song that really got me into Declan I really thought it could get the #1 here (and probably would have this year had it been released in 2018) but not to be. The subject of this song should still be something we should be concerned about though, especially with all the shootings as of late. Really looking forward to Mr. McKenna's new stuff whenever it comes out! |

1 [1]: Alessia Cara - Seventeen
Peak: 01 / Month of Peak: January 2017 Alessia Cara's Chart History: 2017 01 Seventeen 2017 11 Stay (Zedd ft. Alessia Cara) 2017 72 The Other Side 2017 16 1-800-273-8255 (Logic ft. Alessia Cara & Khalid) 2018 44 Growing Pains And so naturally, this is still my #1! Whilst I'm no longer 17 and so you *may* have expected this to plummet, it's still such a poignant song about growing up, and the melody is just so great. Alessia has been struggling to get another hit in my charts (Growing Pains is great but nothing compared to the level of this), and I hope she releases something as good as this soon, but this has held up beautifully! |

A bit of an anticlimactic finish The Kids... is a really great song although I haven’t heard Seventeen at all yet Maybe I should give it a listen..
