I don't know this particular song but from other songs I've heard by Rina Sawayama she seems like the sort of artist that wouldn't have much trouble qualifying. Didn't she even get vetoed a couple of contests back? x

of course if the song does qualify it won't be a surprise. the only truly surprising qualifiers for me would be East Rukahavian and Tartford.

Ramrynia, Quintessa and Summericia I could all see contending for the semi win. UVland will probably just make it in especially with Beaver in the semi, seems more BJSC friendly than her other 'joke' entries. Perhaps Persephonia could miraculously scrape in too?? gonna leave it unbolded for now (edit: bolding it after good plug reception!) but it's got more to it than the usual no-hoper hip-hop entries. if recent events (me being totally wrong about Gente de Zona) prove anything it's that anything can qualify.

A lot less obvious qualifiers in this one, hard to call, could go any way. Altyr Muunilinst seem the most likely semi winner (maybe not oops judging from plug), not sure beyond that. I'd like to think Cowtermont as a contender but that may just be my bias of already knowing/loving the song from Jeff's personal chart so I can't be too sure.

Redux 'odds': the winner will be one of S DNLD, Unovia, Terra Avium, Ramrynia, Oslol or Cowtermont. Would probably put S DNLD as the favourite atm. x

I can see Quintessa, Fljótavík and Rolloland potentially doing rather well but being a little too niche to go all the way to the win.

Not going to get a chance to do odds or predictions before the semi results, have been a bit swamped the last few days!

But will definitely do some odds and the predicta for the final. It’s a very hard one to call in both semis but I will call out Espen, the gorgeous and apparently very underrated entry from Niceland and Tinnmark as three entries that I could see qualifying against the DNQ predix. I think Lotunia and Ashton are both in with a good shot too.

I am really hoping Espen can make it but Chromatics came last in the semi-final the last time they were entered and this one didn't make much of an impression on the plug session either </3

Niceland and Tinnmark were the most borderline ones I predicted out there, both definitely have a decent shot.

Before Beaver comes for DanBet, I don't think UVland will come last actually, but they're certainly least likely to actually win. I think it's Cowtermont's to take now, it just feels like a winner, though Ramrynia could do it with all the pop support they'll no doubt get, and the other three above the line seem to have a fair bit of hype. Really can't see myself winning but another top 5 hit seems perhaps doable.

Loving the hype that 'Birdsong' is getting *.* really hope that it'll live up to it <3 My only other entry to have this much hype in 2018 was goreshit and that ended up finishing 6th, so a similar performance would be divine. But we'll see, I feel like there are a number of potential dark horse top 10 hits here.
