It’s been 84 years but Season 2 is coming March 22, the trailer is here:
Loved Season 1 and I feel it was just the starting point for so much story to tell. I said it at the time but part of me sees a resemblance to The Returned where the first season built perfectly for a second season to really delve into the world and actually be bigger and better. There was a long gap for The Returned too with a really disappointing second season so I’m praying this doesn’t suffer the same fate. |

I assume you're talking about the french version then and not the US remake? Anyway in regards of The OA I still haven't finished season 1 oops. Maybe I should finish that soon then. |

I hope they’ve written it in such a way to allow SOME closure, such as a show of this nature can ever provide because I highly doubt we’ll get any more.
On the other hand yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaas at this being only weeks away. |

Was beginning to think this show had just been a figment or my imagination
I did enjoy the first season but there are so many Netflix shows that I’ve started and not finished / not caught up on the newest seasons so I shouldn’t commit to this just yet |

Wait what, there was a second season of The Returned? I assume you're talking about the french version then and not the US remake? I’m on about the original French version! Maybe I’m being Uber negative but Netflix have for very cancel happy lately, we shall see I agree, this was renewed when Netflix actually renewed everything rather than seemingly cancel everything as they do now. I wonder how the long delay will play into it - whether Netflix will be more or less happy for another delay for a third season |

I loved the first series, I just hope it doesn't follow the recent trend of disappointing follow up series on Netflix (13 Reasons Why, Jessica Jones )

I enjoyed the first series, it was one of the most instantly captivating and mysterious series I'd picked up but then that ending was just...what? :/ I understand the need to leave some questions unanswered but that was way too unfocused and bizarre even for me. Despite this, I'm very glad to see a second series as there's definitely a lot of scope for it!
Also, my sister worked on the filming of some of these! (not that she was to divulge any information x) |

Despite this, I'm very glad to see a second series as there's definitely a lot of scope for it! This is similar to my thoughts on the show... I really enjoyed it and found it so intriguing when they were captured but I agree that the ending was just so odd and seemed to have no relevance to the rest of the storyline at all - it also felt kind of shoehorned in for some sort of shock factor and I'm not really a fan of that type of aspect to a show, make the show about it if you're going to try and throw in those sort of emotive subjects. |

I loved the first season and totally agree with the ending. Certainly one of the more WTF actually happened moments I've ever seen. I was really excited for Season 2, but it's been over 2 years and since then there's been so much extra great Netflix content. Last time they dropped it out of nowhere, but this time there seems to be some more promo around. I'll check it out regardless, but judging from the trailer it seems a departure away from the structure of the first series.

I am finishing rewatching the first season which makes the following even more bizarre but Scott's death scene left me so SHOOK. Such an intense viewing.
Also regarding the ending, I don't think it's all as simple as it seems (i.e. that the movements didn't work or worked the way it was shown). All I'm gonna say is that I'm so excruciatingly excited for season 2. Just a few days left. This post has been edited by Conanderella: 9th March 2019, 11:08 PM |

I'm nervous to watch it almost. Adored the first series but I did with Jessica Jones and 13 Reasons Why too and I hated their second series .
