Ok come on then let's have a guess where My happy place will chart in the UK, I'll update this post.
Sammy01 - #4.
Spice boy - #8
Mr.X - #8
Vibe - #5
Spice girls net - #9
Pippa - #4
Jay - #7
Tommie - #3
Maz! - #10
Adancing - #9
Tawdry Hepburn - #5
I'm thinking #8 (watch it be like #48 now )
I will predict she will get to #8, but I am honestly expecting something like #12/14
I would LOVE IT if she was #4, but I think it is quite a lot to expect that high...
Well she is doing well on pre-orders so I'm being hopeful.
5
I hope it makes the Top 10. I’ll say a debut of #9 and hopefully it will climb 😊
I will predict a Number 4 debut.
Top 10
I feel too pessimistic to predict Top 5! I'll predict #7, matching Free Me's peak.
I'd love to be surprised and see it enter the Top 5 though - imagine it becoming the first solo Spice Top 5 album since 16 years ago.
Average sales needed for Top 10 positions in 2019 (11th Jan - 8th March; I'm not including 4th January because those sales were relatively higher than normal weeks, due to the holidays) -
#1: 31,085 [Highest: 65,214 | Lowest: 18,199]
#2: 16,141 [H: 20,702 | L: 10,560]
#3: 11,423 [H: 17,057 | L: 8,264]
#4: 9,968 [H: 14,370 | L: 6,634]
#5: 8,916 [H: 12,782 | L: 6,409]
#6: 8,095 [H: 12,415 | L: 6,226]
#7: 7,223 [H: 10,889 | L: 5,704]
#8: 6,448 [H: 8,391 | L: 5,528]
#9: 5,785 [H: 6,615 | L: 5,279]
#10: 5,411 [H: 6,003 | L: 5,008]
Hopefully 12th April isn't a particularly competitive/strong selling week, but Emma definitely has to sell in the 5,000 area to have a chance of Top 10, and sell 6,000+ to make it comfortably.
I'd be disappointed with it charting 11-15. I've just used the past 4 weeks for these average sales:
#11: 4,909
#12: 4,813
#13: 4,557
#14: 4,390
#15: 4,161
Let's bear in mind that Melanie C - Version of Me managed to sell 4,084 as an independent release in Q4 2017. Emma's with a major and releasing in Q2... I'd be amazed if she only sold 4,000-ish.
It's funny to think Life in Mono sold 12,307 to only enter/peak at #65! If she could manage those sales with My Happy Place she'd have a strong chance of going Top 3
I would be amazing if she could make top 3 would be the first ever soli spice album to do so I believe?
I'd be stunned if she missed the top 10.
Updated opening post, no one gone for top 3 or outside the top 10. Numbers 6 and 10 not predicted either watch it be one of those Haha.
I'm going with #3 for the hell of it.
#10
I hope she gets a top 10 like nbr 9, much like Claire Richard album, I think they are in the same category, age rage, pop group solo...
Either #5 or #6.
*edit - (I'll be optimistic and go with #5!)
I looked back on the album sales in the week Emma charted at #65 with Life in Mono, and the sales are insane!!
01. 199,185 - Take That

70. 11,256 - Tenacious D
73. 9,834 - Pussycat Dolls
75. 9,539 - Yusef
Not Katie Price of all people massively out-performing Emma
Trust the UK to have the worst f***ing taste in history. Just look at that Top5
Plus, yeah Katie Price and Peter Andre, jesus christ....
What Mary j blige album was it ?
I hope for a top 5 but i don't think that will reach the top 10.
Thanks
That album didn’t rank then as much as I thought !
Updated, still no one gone for not making the top 10 or number 6.
Thinking she may have a chance of Top 5 now, the preorders have been pretty strong.
Maybe #4 behind BTS, The Chemical Brothers and Billie Eilish? 🧐
I really wish a solo Spice album could go Top 3!
Yeah I'm pretty hopeful of top 5, sales this week after look like the have slowed after Mother's day for other albums.
The number 5 album this week sold 7K.
Can Emma do this ?
A lot of the sales won’t be shipped to UK address remember.
Not sure this will have grabbed the general public’s interest. We shall see.
Any final predictions before we see tomorrow’s midweek?
Number 8
Totally hope it is Top10. Apparently BMG are expecting it to be Top5 which would be great. They are indeed putting a lot of effort into this album, which is great and should provide some results, hopefully.
Knowing the history of the solo spices though, I would say a #10 is more likely than a Top5 x
I think 9...
I hope for top 5 obviously...
I hope for a top 10
It feels surreal thinking we could be on the verge of either the first top 10 since Free Me in 2004 or even the first top 5 since Reason in 2003!!
It will def go top 10.
Taking everything into account, anything lower than Top 5 will be a disappointment.
Will definitely go Top 10 - the amount of UK fans that have bought bundles (I’ve ended up with Deluxe CD, Blue Cassette, Pink cassette, Amazon Signed CD & Signed Vinyl).
I am sooooooo impatient for the midweeks!
I AM SO STRESSED!!!
Lol I keep checking to see if anything is on Buzzjack yet!
Number 7 is my guess
I keep checking too .
I can't remember the last time I was interested in a midweek update.
And I hope there is a second week position prediction game, it's going to be fun.
Its Midweek #5
Oooh, looks like top 10 is a sure thing hopefully. I think it will fall a little during the week. Hopefully she has some promo lined up!
I’m slightly disappointed it’s ‘only’ #5 in the mids although I have absolutely no right to be as it’s an epic result - especially as it’s her first album for 13 years and that peaked at #65. I guess I just hoped the Amazon signed version and bundles would have pushed it higher.
We all should be pleased with number 5
My guess is correct so far but I’m sure it well drop a few places .
flop - can't even get to number one when her competition is some z-list k-flop group. not even Melanie c would sign her for Red Girl now.
That's an achievement for a solo Spice Girl in 2019 just think how well a group album would do.
If she stays top 10 I will be chuffed!
She has picked such a tough week to release, 4 of the top 5 are new entries. Will be interesting to hopefully see the sales as there might be a fair gap between 5 and 6. Also she is outselling the new entry at number 4 on itunes who I honestly have never heard of, so they might be even more front loaded and fall behind Emma as the week goes on.
12.3k would have got her number 2 last week watch her sell 12.5k and end up number 5 this
As long as it stays top 10 it will be a success any way and a big success fir a solo Spice release.
#4 has 1000 copies lead over her current sales of 4,200 so can’t see a climb of any kind, would be interesting to know how many copies from #6
One thing not going for it is the price, it is £11 in Sainsburys! 11 quid for a 10 track CD, it should be 8.99.
I guess it'll be interesting to see how it holds up saleswise in the next few days, but I'm assuming 6-7k as a end result.
Was expecting slightly higher sales than 4227 with all the bundles. By the end of this week she will prob have around 6500 sales ? As we expected this is going to be extremely front loaded. I fear for the second week sales / position.
Apparently number #7 is on 4043 sales.
We still have an interview on This Morning (tomorrow) and a video for the new single being released!
Praying it’ll remain Top 10 for Friday!
Number 5 in the midweek chart released today with sales of 4,227.
Ouch the gap between 5-7 is so small!!! I might order another version now to support her.
I feel she will hold a Top 10 position but just about.
I have a feeling it'll end up just outside the top 10, fingers crossed it holds on for her though
I think she should be OK to hold onto the top 10,would love to know where it went in at on Friday /Saturday and whether she has slipped down far already? Having said that Melanie C did drop from #11 midweek to #25 so who knows, she could end up at #19 or something
Either way whether she gets top 5, top 10 or top 20 it will be the first solo Spice album to do so since 2004 which is a cause for celebration in itself.
I think BMG will make sure it ends top 10, they can discount on iTunes etc if needs be.
Ps I want to know how Claire Richards get's a performance on Graham Norton and Emma didn't get to perform on Jonathan Ross??
I wonder if Martine McCutcheon is still with BMG? She got to number 17 two years ago with her album on their label and also got Radio 2 support.
I hope she stays @ the top 10 for a while .
It's hard to know if she will stay top 10 as I thought her sales would be higher and her existing sales will be front loaded, I hope she can stay top 10 though and as mentioned it's the highest charting spice girl solo album in almost 15 years.
If she charts higher than 'Version of Me' at #25, I'll be over the moon.
I'd expect all the spices to have a very similar fanbase. So I find the mid-week very encouraging!
I hope it can make top 40 here in Ireland but it's hard to predict.
Uh oh! I was hoping she would be able to hold onto #5 for a bit longer or only slip one place if so!
She will still be top 20 which is a huge improvement on her last position of Top 70.
Yeah but in terms of her keeping her contract I'm guessing a top 10 is needed...
When she was midweek #5 yesterday, she was 987 copies behind #4 - Fontaines DC
Today at midweek #7 with 5,335 copies sold, she's:
342 copies behind #4 - Tom Walker
331 copies behind #5 - Fontaines DC
284 copies behind #6 - The Greatest Showman
64 copies ahead of #8 - Marty Wilde
850 copies ahead of #9 - Queen
1539 copies ahead of #10 - George Ezra
1991 copies ahead of #11 - Khalid
It's evidently very tight at the moment in the 4-8 region. I expect Tom Walker & The Greatest Showman to stay ahead of her, it's looking like Marty Wilde will overtake later in the week and I assume Queen will as well. However, signs point to Emma being able to outdo Fontaines DC by Friday... fingers crossed. Not sure about George Ezra & Khalid.
Hopefully she'll be able to retain a Top 10 position. I think she'd need to get to 6,500 sales for the week to comfortably achieve it.
I think it'd be hard for her to slip all the way to #11 to be honest, especially since the weekend sales have already been accounted for. Usually there would a surge in album sales around Friday/Saturday, which is when frontloaded albums tended to really slip behind. She had This Morning today, so that should've helped.
Shame she is already slipping. Here's hoping that the video will come out asap to hopefully put a bit more momentum over the next couple of days. Weds and Thurs will be really crucial for her.
A shame she thought to release so close to the start of rehearsals, as it really deminishes her chances of further promo. Oh well... TBH I am a bit over the alvbum already. I bought every available format once, to support her. But the album is not a great album, nor very well thought out either, so whatever...
I feel she could have really done better with a better album. If she had really put effort into it and made an album of good quality originals, the public and press could have gotten more behind it. The focus on covers killed the album, I think, before it even had the chance to breathe.
She got good press. She just needs a better album.
Tbf she did a good amount of promo. We can’t deny that.
Her promo has been really good tbh I mean Jonathan Ross is a huge gig you can't get much bigger than that... Well a performance slot would have been good (or Graham Norton lol).
After reading that I think she should manage to hold onto the top 10, #8 is looking likely (which I believe was my prediction whoop whoop!)
Now that top 5 is looking unlike I'm rooting for #8
She did do great promo! A few more TV performances would have been great, but whatever. I still think with a better album, she would have made better numbers/more interest in her work.
Let's hope for a #8 at the least Regardless of everything, it is still bound to be quite a great achievement for her. Lets just hope it doesnt sink in for ever after this week (which will probably do lol)
Someone mentioned in another thread that the Fontaine’s have a signing today.
The 12000 people that bought LIM have moved on I guess.
Can you imagine where it would be without the bundles and signed album ?
Those sales are very close and i can see the album making a number 11 debut on Friday.
I feel like she could have got top 5 but will be ultimately number 8. What has let it down is a bit of greediness tbh. The Vinyl is too expensive and should be stocked in HMV and on Amazon but by not stocking it anywhere else people are held to randsome paying over the odds for it. The CDs are too expensive too, a cardboard digipack 10 track album should be 8.99 and the deluxe 11.99.
Given she is less than 350 behind number 4 these couple of things might have made the difference. Still she will be comfortably top 10.
Definitely agree that the vinyl is very overpriced. Once you factor in the postage, it costs £30. A 10-track album on one vinyl disc shouldn't exceeded £20! I'm sure there's many fans who wouldn't have felt able to justify buying it. It's certainly a shame it wasn't available in HMV & Amazon.
I think another mistake was a Deluxe CD that is the same 10 tracks. Most people wouldn't feel compelled to buy a more expensive version of the same album just because it has different packaging!
Like Sammy says, cheaper prices really could have made all the difference considering how close it is at this stage in the mids. I kind of wish BMG would consider temporarily slashing the prices prior to Friday so she can pick up some more casual sales.
Also agree that it's a shame a record signing wasn't organised.
It was badly timed for her album to coincide with Spice Girls rehearsals starting.
It's not going to lose a 2k gap on #11. If anything it has had a very strong sales day today, her This morning and BBC London news interviews have seen the album rise back up to #12 on iTunes and #28 and #39 on Amazon for the signed and unsigned versions.
I just cant see it slipping below number 8, as it will surely pass Fontaines.
I agree about them being a bit greedy I was very very very tempted with the vinyl however I will not pay £30 for it. I'm past the stage of my life where I am prepared to spend loads of money on the girls anymore I have a mortgage, new house, decorating, holidays, car etc etc etc to think about which take priority. So she lost out on a sale there from me. Would also have been tempted with the cassettes had I got the vinyl, so actually 3 sales missed out on.
The lack of live performance in the shows where she is invited this week doesn't help. There was just a live performance on TV last month
The vinyl is pink and come with an amazing booklet , this is why it was a bit more pricey !
There isn’t a booklet in this vinyl. Unless you’re referring to the vinyl being a gatefold, or the sleeve containing the vinyl having pictures/text printed on it? Both of these features are pretty standard for vinyl releases these days, I wouldn’t say this justifies the price.
Excuse me, but Emma needing to buy a diamond encrusted schrunchie for the tour justifies the price.
Number 8 today.
There is hope she will have a Top 10 position on Friday.
Shit I was really hoping she would at the very least stay at #7 today and thought she might just climb to #6 and overtake Fountain! She is going to have a drop on Friday due to the streaming data that needed to be added.
In addition with the sticker, the store can add an autographed postcard of emma to apologize for their mistake.
Down to #9 in the charts today, Fontaines DC have also fallen to #8 despite their signings. I have a bad feeling Emma is going to slip out of the top 10 tomorrow once streaming data is added. Such a shame from #5 midweek.
To be fair even if she doesn't hang onto the top 10 she will be the only Spice Girl to achieve 3 top 20 albums! Really hope she can just hold onto the top 10 though, the first Spice Girl to achieve 3 top 10 albums is even better
I'm so intrigued to see how Melanie C does with her next album release now.
Resigned myself to it being #11
I also think Number 11
I read on social networks emma, kesvie and chris stroud bought a lot of copies to boost sales, not enough to ensure a top 10?
When, today I hope? Here's hoping they go out and buy another 3000 copies tomorrow
It could be fun to predict where it will be week 2 ?
I predict #65 for week two
#83 week 2 🙈
It'll go to #1 in week two!!!
..... #111.
The album chart position is posted on other sites please don't post the position here till after the chart show

Cue Myleene Klass getting a slapped wrist from OCC
She was so unlucky .
Week 2 out of top 200 ?
TBH she chose a tough week to release. Not only it coincided with Spice Girls rehearsals (thus making it hard for her to do more live promo other than interviews) but also on a week against some really heavy sellers - Beyonce, Chemical Brothers, etc. A week earlier and she would have done better..
Guessing this means she didn’t make top 10! Gutted for her if so
CONFIRMED BY THE OCC
#11
CONFIRMED BY THE OCC
#11
damn I was hoping for 10
So disappointing to miss out by 1 place Let’s hope it’s not an 11-88-out kind of album but I’m struggling to see what could stabilize it after all the fan multi purchases this week.
Oh my god, like "Headlines"
The album wont go any higher.
The hopes are it can have a couple of weeks on the chart and not disappear in a flash.
Top 10 would have been FAB but 11 is a decent placing all things considering.
#7 on the Scottish album chart
3rd Top album in Scotland and highest charting album since 2001!
As I said a week ago, the chart position is almost irrelevant here. Anyone who was expecting a huge great splash is living in 2001 still. I'm just grateful we've even got an album - and a very classily orchestrated and put together one at that - when five years ago it seemed unlikely Emma would ever dip her toes back into even just a one off single on her tod.
The fact it's made the top 20 is the icing on the cake to what's been quite a lovely week and a bit all told. Hopefully it'll give her the encouragement to do a tour of the UK's town halls and theatres off the back of it because if she did a 'An Evening With' show like the tour Martine McCutcheon did a few years ago for her comeback album - where it was music and an audience Q&A - I can see that selling well because there's more of an incentive for casual Spice Girl fans as it were.
On one hand a solo Spice top 15 album in 2019 is to be celebrated, not many artist manage that 23 years into their career.
However Emma has major label backing and top 10 was easily in reach with a few details that could have been rectified. Although top 15 for a solo Spice is great I'm sure BMG don't give a toss about that and would have loved a top 10 (probably a top 5) so the album was seen as successful to the wider public not just Spice fans. What BMG will see as acceptable to keep her on and release another album is anyone's guess, I'm assuming the WW sales were better than a lot of BMG artist like Gabrielle though so maybe that will be her saving grace.
Next weeks drop could be painful though, if she stays top 100 it will be a small victory tbh.
Double post sorry!
Emma sold 6,674 copies, just 457 sales behind #10.
Truthfully I am disappointed that it missed out, I mean it was Top 10 throughout the midweeks so that was quite a tease. Unfortunately it was looking inevitable towards the end of the week that it would fall out though. #11 is just the most frustrating position. It's difficult for a front-loaded physical seller like Emma to compete with consistently heavy streamers like Khalid. Fontaines D.C. had an edge with strong vinyl sales too.
I'm trying to keep it in mind that this is by a distance the highest charting solo Spice album in 15 years, first Top 20 since Emma herself with Free Me in 2004. So that in itself is worth celebrating. Hopefully BMG consider it a good enough result, as mentioned perhaps it'll be the overall sales achieved worldwide that's the important factor.
I really don't think the situation will be as dire as Emma falling out of the Top 200 directly from #11. That would mean her falling to under 750-ish sales in week 2. She managed 600-ish sales on Thursday alone!
Maybe I'll jinx her by saying this, but I can at least see her selling more than 1k next week. She'll need to sell approaching 1.2k to remain Top 100. That's an average of 171 copies a day.
EVERYBODY GET BUYING MULTIPLE FORMATS AGAIN THIS WEEK!!! WE ARE ON A ROLL AND ITS A BUNTON PARTY
#6 Sales
#6 Physical
#9 Downloads
Hopefully she can stay top 100 this week but it's hard to know,88 here in Ireland is disappointing as prob means less than 100 sales.
Also it's #3 on indie chart. Is BMG an indie label?
It is down to #80 on iTunes
It was hanging on between #12-16 all week until yesterday so this is quite the drop. Guess we know what will happen this week unless BMG seriously puts some money behind new promo.
Does anyone have any faith that the new video for You're All I Need To Get By will do anything for the album?
Yeah I get that. But maybe if Jade and Emma would do a couple of performances this week and release the video, it could help? Most probably not lol
A shame she released on such a busy time for her.
Snatching that #2 cassette placing I wonder how the vinyl done?!
I can definitely see this falling from the top 100 next week.
Who is #1 on cassettes?
Where is the cassette chart?
Australia
#92 Album
#24 Digital
It’s a nice surprise that she’s managing to chart in other countries!
Down to #88 in the midweeks, hope she can hold onto that top 100 position
Oh damn... that's a f***ing big drop...
Sadly, in chart terms, it will be a one week wonder.
It was to be expected. Hopefully it does over 1.3k this week to bring it to 8k.
The album debuted at #55 on spanish album chart.
#7 on the Heatseekers album chart in the United States
Ah ok thanks. f*** it then lol
Apparently it climbed from #88 to #85 in the midweeks! We love a rising hit album.
Ooh! Queen of longevity *_*
Haha, honestly I'll be so pleased if she manages a second week in the Top 100, as sad as that may sound. The last solo album that managed to do that is This Time, 57-97 (with hindsight I'm kind of surprised that album didn't drop too drastically, given its low peak).
Another week top 100 would make just missing the top 10 feel slightly better. I wonder how long supermarkets will keep stocking it, I guess as long as it is in supermarkets it might linger between 80 and 200.
I mean, all fan driven sales are gone now so I'm not surprised if it manages to stay in the top 90 (as sad as that sounds).
Really the best the fans can do is stream it now.
Lewis Capaldi, whose new album is on pre-order and will no doubt be one of the biggest albums of the year his vinyl is 17 quid on his website store. Just shows how over priced Emma's is. I wont buy it until it is under 20 quid.
It's always streaming...
#24 Sales
#21 Physical
Either way she sold less 1,000 copies week 2.
The physical/sales chart should be a better reflection of it's true chart run...she's never gonna do well in streaming.
I doubt BMG will want to continue with her as overall sales won't top 10k-20k at most. So, a shame but she can always self-release.
Talk about a missed opportunity. A bit of a meh album with the worst timing.
Dropped to #121 It’s crazy that streaming results in an almost 100 place difference.
Frustratingly, this week’s #8 album sold less than Emma sold at #11 last week, ugh. Very bad timing. I think BMG messed up scheduling it in Easter week and Record Store Day week.
Just compare last week’s sales with 2 weeks ago & and this week:
6 Queen [Bohemian Rhapsody - OST] 8,188
7 Mike + The Mechanics 7,591
8 Ariana Grande 6,862
9 Dave 6,541
10 Circa Waves 6,099
11 Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper 6,019
12 Jack Savoretti 5,725
13 Billie Eilish [Don't Smile At Me] 4,831
Last week
6 Queen [Bohemian Rhapsody - OST] 8,556
7 Marty Wilde 7,503
8 George Ezra 7,468
9 Fontaines D.C. 7,197 (3,104 vinyl)
10 Khalid 7,130
11 Emma Bunton 6,674
12 Ariana Grande 6,359
13 M Huncho 6,176
14 Dave 5,591
This week
6 Tom Walker 7,413
7 BTS 7,346
8 Rolling Stones 6,514
9 Ariana Grande 5,505
10 Jade Bird 5,414
11 Beyoncé 5,212
12 Marty Wilde 5,041
13 Khalid 5,020
Annoying. Emma could have sold 1,259 less copies this week & still made the Top 10.
Also: Emma had sold 5,335 by the Tuesday midweeks. She therefore sold more in 4 days (Fri/Sat/Sun/Mon) than Beyoncé sold to be #11 this week - with 7 days of sales. By Tuesday, Emma was just 79 copies short of what Jade Bird sold to be #10 this week.
Ugh. I’ll get over it, but the timing sucks. In most weeks this year she’d have easily been Top 10.
The exposure and extra press of getting top 10 would have slightly helped this weeks sales too I'm sure. An urghhh all round.
7.7k sold so far, that video with jade needs to be released now.
Wow, Emma could of had a Top 10 album during the weeks either side of the album. How frustrating *face palm*
Don’t call me baby needs a release !!
Also one week of promo is not enough. Even on her insta account the album is disappeard.
Honestly, I just want a remix package out of DCMB and then I'm fine. I doubt we'll get it though, considering they didn't even consider it a single option and there's no way they're paying for remixers unless the Jade duet works a miracle.
The Jade diet is already dead.
No video , no airplay and no performances.
Bless her. She's done it as well as can be expected.
Austrialian first week:
#92 Album
#26 Phisical
#24 Digital
#1 Hitseekers
Also it debuted at #08 on irish indie chart.
I'm glad it at least managed to chart in a few other countries than the UK!
The album is up in Sales (65-48) and Physical (59-46) charts
Up to number 65 on iTunes
Down to #77 now...
More importantly it is #46 on Amazon bestsellers list.
#86 iTunes
Number 100 in today's midweek chart information.
The album sales this week are abysmal !!
Hope Emma will be able to remain in the Top 200 by Friday!
I think it I will .
Good news! Emma climbs to midweek #93 in Tuesday's midweeks. She's sold 567 copies so far (505 are physicals, 39 downloads & 23 streaming)
Streaming is terrible isn’t it!! Wonder if the fact she is clearly a better physical seller will help her keep her record deal? There’s got to be more money in physicals than streams?? I mean her sales are still paltry but then again sales are pretty horrendous in general. 100,000 is a very successful album nowerdays from the looks of it!
It would be just great if Emma can hold the Top 100 position on Friday.
It looks like this week's #4 album might sell less than what Emma sold to reach #11 a few weeks ago. That hurts!!
Looks like this week’s #10 might only sell 4,400ish copies too; Emma had sold 5,335 by her Tuesday midweek...
Today she’s midweek #129, she’ll definitely remain Top 200 for tomorrow!
Even with the added streaming I’m confident that she’ll be safe She’s on 748 copies in today’s mids, 190 copies ahead of #200. #200 sold 746 copies in last Friday’s chart!
My prediction is that she’ll re-enter somewhere in the 160s area of the chart, maybe selling around 840 copies. Think she might be close to 10,000 overall sales after this week.
Emma’s daily sales this week:
Friday’s & Saturday’s sales: 307 copies
Sunday’s sales (Monday midweeks): 95 copies [Total so far: 402 copies]
Monday’s sales (Tuesday midweeks): 165 copies [Total so far: 567 copies]
Tuesday’s sales (Wednesday midweeks): 85 copies [Total so far: 652 copies]
Wednesday’s sales (Thursday midweeks): 96 copies [Total so far: 748 copies]
The album has responded well to promo, I know she us doing rehearsals and the tour will be on but she really needs to look for 1 or 2 TV slots a week. Surely this close to the tour everyone will be gagging to have her on, BBC Breakfast, Loose Women, This morning, she needs to do the rounds.
She's reduced the album to £5 on Amazon/Sainsburys hence why it's gone up.
What are the total sales for it?
Where did the album end up in the charts this week?
#162 is disappointing when she was as high as 93.
It’s kind of inevitable that Emma will suffer big drops in the final chart, when numerous albums have much stronger streaming than her, and get 2 days worth of streaming added after the Thursday midweek data.
Emma went from 35 streaming sales in the Thursday mids, to 45 streaming sales in the Friday chart, so only 10 sales. Most of the albums around her had hundreds of streaming sales added.
The difference between the #129 album in the Friday chart (which was the position Emma was at in the Thursday midweeks) and Emma at #162, was just 121 sales. The difference between #93 and #162 is 381 sales. It’s barely anything, but results in a 69 place difference. She just can’t keep up when all the streaming is accounted for.

Official Charts Company decided to remove compilations such as The Greatest Showman, at the start of 2020. So if they'd decided that earlier, Emma would have been #10
Nice work Jay*
There's was not much streaming sales.
The Greatest Showman is a pile of crap and I hate it even more now!

Then in the third week it seems she might have managed to shift another 12,000 copies to be #79 (the #75 sold 12,645). Relative to sales nowadays, and relative to most other solo Spice albums, the Life in Mono sales look pretty good. But in the context of 2006 and the strength of the market, it didn't do very well (reflected by the fact it charted at #65).

Victoria's album entered at #10 with 16,500 sales on 7th October 2001, but in the equivalent week of 2006 (8th October 2006) the #10 sold 21,631; she wouldn't have made the Top 15 with 16.5k either.
I went to a dinner party last night . We got talking about the solo girls music. Yet Alexa couldn’t play anything by Emma apart form MHP material.
This is shocking !!
Just found out that Baby Please Don't Stop reached #111 in the Download Singles Top 200 (1st March 2019), then fell out the Top 200 a week later. Not sure if it ever re-entered after that. It wasn't in the chart up to and including 12th April, but I don't have the download charts from 19th April (which is the date My Happy Place entered the chart) up to 14th June to be able to check if it ever re-entered. If it was ever going to re-enter, it would have been on 19th April!
Where did you find the top 200?
It was mentioned in ChartsPlus, in the week that it charted!
OCC have just revealed Emma Burton's Top 10 biggest singles: https://www.officialcharts.com/chart-news/emma-buntons-official-top-10-biggest-songs-in-the-uk__32251/
Nice to see that the OCC has given us updates for WTYSL and What I Am but it would be nice if they actually listed all of the sales, there’s only 10 to post
I guess What Took You So Long? will be passing 300k this year since it's "sold" 5k since May 2020. Still a long way to Gold though (200k).
What I Am has done around 2k in the same period of time.
Thanks Liam!
I wish they had given us more sales than her top 2 too, but it's interesting to have the split in pure and streaming info for WTYSL and WIA:
WTYSL does ok with streaming actually, for a medium size hit that doesnt get much promo or radio play, or much playlisting. There is clearly some demand for that track at least
Increase in sales (the old figures were posted by the OCC in June 2017
What I Am - 10k (3.5 years)
What Took You So Long - 26k (3.5 years)
What I Am

234,000 (January 2021)
What Took You So Long
269,000 (June 2017)
295,000 (January 2021)
Did you know that the lyrics to what i am come from a famous piece
of black literature, i only learnt this yesterday when watching Moesha on Netflix 🙈
