The BRITS seems to like her and, after the successful year she's had, I'd be surprised if she wasn't nominated for Best International Female. I don't think she'll win though, I think Ariana Grande is pretty certain to take that trophy home.

I'd be over the moon if she performed but I'm not holding my breath for that. I know her team have been great with getting her strong promo slots but the BRITs seem to stick with young appealing, current artists in recent years.

I think she might well get a nomination after the relative success of Golden!

They've not done International Album for years, not since 2011.

I'd consider it to be a massive snub if Kylie wasn't nominated for International Female after the year she's had! I think it's only Ariana Grande who has sold more albums (with Sweetener). Technically Lady Gaga too, although I'm not sure how the Brits would regard her success with A Star Is Born given that the album is credited to "Motion Picture Cast Recording".

In any case, Kylie really should be one of the 5 females nominated. I'd say her, Ariana Grande, Camila Cabello, Cardi B and hopefully Lady Gaga. Maybe Halsey has a chance. Although knowing the Brits they'll include a couple of left field choices instead of the obvious.

I was sure she would be nominated and I think she at the least deserved a nomination.

International Female is insane enough though!

Ariana Grande - Biggest female star of 2018 by some distance
Camila - Massive year for her.
Christine & The Queens - Pretty much an orgasm for Brits, I'm predicting her to win.
Cardi B - Had a huge year last year.
Janelle Monae - Possibly the most critically acclaimed album of the year?

Kylie had a big year, but I feel those 5 def had more of an impact.

More impact where?

This is the Brits.... it's based on British success....

Kylie after Arianna had the biggest selling album of all international females in 2018 releases, sold double of at these two of these nominations plus she had a number 1 album last year, I think only around 20 acts did?

It's not JUST about who sold more copies. The BRITs are voted by a panel of critics. Critically they had a more successful year than her. Janelle is such an interesting choice, but as I said her album was insanely well reviewed and she's right up Brits judges/panels street and Christine & The Queens was always going to get a nom after hrr debut album turned into a surprise success.

Best British Single & Best British Video are the only awards to be shortlisted on the merits of success iirc.

I'm not disputing that she shouldn't be there (I'd personally say she more than deserved a nom) but International Female is literally the only category where I look at it and think "Actually, all these nominations make perfect sense".

The rest of the categories have their fair shares of "You're joking?".

Did say it was all about sales......

She had a fantastic year. But sales do help to show popularity and liking for something
She also had a number 1 album
Also was well received critically
Co-wrote every song
Had visibility in the UK and always supports the Brits with appearances etc
If she had been 25-35 then she would have eased to a nomination.

The Brits trying to be fashionable.

I mean to have Lily allen as a best British female nominations also shows poor choice and her album tanked straight away hardly anyone bought at all
