How topical! I'm not a fan of the song, but I don't mind it doing well. There's not anything that interests me out this week.
Hopefully songs like Cheerleader, Lean On and Where Are U Now hold up well.

I'd guess somebody did some streetdancing to 2 Unlimited on Britain's Got Talent, but I don't watch it so I'm not sure.

Bills is ok for now, but I'm rapidly going off of it and will hate it when it's everywhere soon enough. That replacing one of the two worst songs of the year in possibly the worst top 2 I can remember is fine by me.

Don't mind Bills - better than Wiz/Omi for me, so a better number 1. Hoping Carly manages to hold onto the top 5, despite being dropped from R1 and having never even made the top 15 on airplay.

Video has premiered. It's a home movie video of Ed Sheeran growing up. It's really sweet. My favourite song from him, by a mile. I doubt it'll go anywhere near the top 40 but it should sell the album! (We all know he needs to sell more copies of 'x' before it's in danger of becoming a flop!)

Bills and Cheerleader would be a fantastic top 2 for me! I've said it before but I find it hard to get behind most novelty songs, but Bills just hits the spot for me, and Cheerleader is one of my favourite dance songs of recent times

The T-Wayne song is hilarious I cannot see it being a hit here though. American hits like No Type, Hot N*gga and CoCo got nowhere near although I think Nasty (Freestyle) is higher on iTunes than any of those managed to be.

Natalie, DJ S.K.T and Charles Hamilton are out in the same week unless someone drops early, otherwise it be quite a chart battle, the iLL BLU track with James Morrison sounds like a #1 to me, will probably have competition from Rudimental from the previous week.

The Kygo remix of 'Younger' can be bought both from the single release, and from the EP. Maybe sales are split between the two, hence why the top version isn't climbing very quickly? Then there's the original version too, which is what Radio 1 seem to be playing. Possibly a reason why it is underperforming? Fingers crossed it will continue to rise!

The release of "Younger" in the UK has been handled quite strangely actually. I first heard the original on R1 a few weeks back and just can't seem to get into the Kygo version. Think stations would be better off pushing the original anyway, "Firestone" is still popular and "Stole the Show" has all the makings to storm up the charts if radio got on board.
While not the greatest track in the world, I do quite like "Bills"; nice to see something fun/different (but not novelty) reaching the number-one spot. Wonder how it'll fare on streaming.

Personally, I think it's very laid back for drum & bass, the sort you could play in the evening when you're chilling. Wilkinson is often overlooked for the likes of DJ Fresh, Chase & Status and Rudimental, but his songs are solid and well produced.
I've thought Lonely People could be a big hit ever since I first heard it! Got loads of crossover appeal and plenty will be intrigued by James Morrison's return to music on a house track. I'd love it to go #1, but if it ended up in the top 20 I'd be satisfied for iLL Blu.

bit of a mess towards the end though.I think that because I heard the snippet way back in December I wasn't really overwhelmed by it at first. But then once I played it on full volume, I realised how strong a single this actually is for Leona. Her notes at the end are true Leona. I also think the lyrics in the verses are brilliant: "Living with Lions / Tigers and Titans / Afraid to get hurt / Now I'm making them purr" / "Drowning in quicksand / Nobody takes my hand / I thought it buried me / But now I am set free". I think many people associate the words "boring", "depressing" and "ballad" with Leona and I think this songs contradicts all three descriptions. It's uplifting, empowering and catchy, something the general public and radio *should* eat up.

June 7th doesn't have much competition - plus Leona has a lot of promotion coming up plus a performance on the 7th on Sunday night at the Palladium on the day of release. If she gets good radio support I wouldn't be surprised if she was a contender for #1.

Fingers crossed for FUMF. Has the potential to be a hit IF she can get the radio support. Time will tell. So happy to have new Leona music in my life again.

It's not really these days I mean in 2/3 weeks it'll be June then we will only be a season away from Sept. Years and Years is one example of a band that have had their preorder up since March and it's only out in July!

It helped to stabilize it - It's #99 and has gone 98-97-99 on iTunes the last hour or so. Would've been out of the top 100 without the BBC Radio 1 play I think. Fingers crossed airplay and video play will start increasing a lot to help keep it in the top 200/300. Quite happy with how well the pre-order is doing so far!

I forgot Under the Shadows didn't reach the top 40, this ones getting radio 1 & 2 playlist treatment and it's beingn helped by the ad it's on.
I would say Cold ft Fryars will be given a re-release it's the strongest song on the album!

I can see Natalie La Rose and Walk The Moon being big but I can't necessarily them reaching #1. I guess Rudimental could do it but I'm not sure they can do at the moment.

Jason Derulo for sure, and Natalie most likely. After that it's hard to tell, Fifth Harmony have a very good chance if radio get behind them, and i think Rachel Platten will eventually be a big contender. Also wouldn't be surprised if Krept & Konan's 'Freak of the Week' was thereabouts too when it's out!
I'd hope to see Walk The Moon make the top 10, their airplay might be a bit limited at first (Capital FM will avoid it like the plague) but it's got a ton of hit potential regardless. Can't see Rudimental's new single going anywhere close to #1, maybe a Top 10 if it's lucky?

I agree about Jason but it wouldn't surprise me I Natalie gets stuck at #2. I am not sure what to think of Krept and Konan though. I really like the Rachel Platten so I hope that catches on. I agree about Rudimental but I can see it going top 5. Some people are predicting Leona but again, I think it'll just go top 5.
I can see Walk the Moon hanging around for a while too. I wonder if Maroon 5 newie could be in with a shot too.

As much as I love it, I can't see Freak of the Week getting to #1. I can see it going top 10 though, can't go wrong with a Mustard beat and Jeremih hook.

FFS. Why didn't he perform 'Can't Deny My Love'? That probably would have been top 20 by now (if we are to judge by the performance of an album promo track! - my least favourite song of the era so far too, but still a great song)

Sure you know yourself it wouldn't have been stable enough top stay top 40 on iTunes long enough to have been top 40 officially due to streaming and the like. It's album sales he's aiming for which this performance will no doubt improve!

I'm really surprised his performance on Graham Norton has had such an effect tbh (all 4 of the songs he's released from the album are top 100). I guess people just didn't realise he had new stuff coming out. Grr! Had radio 1 actually playlisted 'Can't Deny My Love' it probably would've been a hit of some sort.
