Thanks gooddelta, but I'd scrub Evergreen, Rock DJ, You Raise Me Up and insert Leave Right Now for Will Young, Angel for Robbie Williams and Flying Without Wings for Westlife.

I would have thought the Arctic Monkeys debut at number one for 'Dancefloor' will be better remembered than a lot of those - mind you, you've captured the decade pretty well in general.

Angels was released in 1997 and Flying Without Wings in 1999. manson.gif

I think it's a good list. thumbup.gif

I was in two minds whether to include Leave Right Now or Evergreen but you could hardly leave the biggest selling single off the decade off the album could you ohmy.gif

It's a great list but which songs will you replace when you add in songs from 2008 and 2009?

About You Now may be their biggest seller. But Round Round, Freak Like Me, Hole In The Head, Overload and Too Lost In You are all (imo) better.

These songs will be the next to go if enough 'classics' come out to replace them...

Gabrielle-Out Of Reach
Ultrabeat-Pretty Green Eyes
Sophie Ellis-Bextor-Murder On The Dancefloor
So Solid Crew-21 Seconds
Destiny’s Child-Survivor
Mary Mary-Shackles (Praise You)
Lemar-If There’s Any Justice
KT Tunstall-Suddenly I See
Mariah Carey-We Belong Together
Avril Lavigne-Complicated

I think for commercial dance success in the 00s it would be unfair to ignore Cascada...by far the biggest dance album seller of the decade and Everytime We Touch has sold around 300k as a single

My other choice would have been Push The Button...I'm not going necessarily for biggest sellers, more the tracks that made the biggest cultural impact..

I'm not sure about that one...I found it hard to decide between those two singles and Dare...they are all classics of the decade

Yeah well to be fair Evergreen didn't sell so much for the SONG did it? Meanwhile Leave Right Now was and rightly so as it was a much better song!

'feel good inc' was in the charts for ages, plus it was popular amongst us oldies! lol, 'dare' i think lacked the 'old' appeal.. but i love 'fgi' so i would support that one! laugh.gif

no it didn't and the song was very average but the fact is that it is by FAR the biggest seller of the decade

If we look back at Gorillaz in 20 years I'm sure people will more fondly remember Clint Eastwood than Feel Good Inc...considering how quick the charts were in 2001 it stayed in the top ten for about 2 months...but that's just my opinion, not fact tongue.gif
