1 | Name a song performed by Amy Adams in any of her movie roles.

Amy Adams has a lovely voice and she has shown it off to great effect in 3 of her movies, most famously in Enchanted where she sang the Oscar nominated Happy Working Song, my all time favourite song That's How You Know (both songs being the most popular) and the duet True Loves Kiss with James Marsden. She also added vocals to If I Didn't Care with Lee Pace in Miss Petigrew Lives For A Day and Life's A Happy Song and Me Party in The Muppets. She did not sing I Dreamed A Dream, well she might have, but not on screen. American Hustle was a movie and not a song, assuming Mack misread the question.

5 | That’s How You Know (Regina, Acidburn, notfurlong, Cameron, Jahq, dhwe)
5 | Happy Working Song (Joe., Josh, Leonardo, Chez, Oliver, Haus)
2 | Me Party (Ritchie, Jonjo, Ultraviolence)

0 | Life’s A Happy Song (Harry)
0 | I Dreamed a Dream (Dobbo)
0 | American Hustle (Mack)

Posted by: Joe. 7th February 2016, 04:31 PM

Happy Working Song <3

Posted by: J▲hq 7th February 2016, 04:39 PM

Yay a lucky guess <3 Looked through a few, saw 'That’s How You Know' had been Oscar nominated, thought "oh that's good logic to use" and didn't notice other songs had been nominated too laugh.gif

Posted by: Regina 7th February 2016, 04:55 PM

2 | Name a movie in which Shawn Ashmore meets a grisly end (in other words, he croaks it).

I've seen a fair few of Shawn's movies and he tends to die in them, a lot. He does get a nice variety though, I've seen him; beheaded, melted, stabbed, run over, eaten by wolves, cannibalised and shot. Poor bast*rd, he rarely gets to the end of his movies. On the upside, he has less lines to learn than other people. X-men: Days of Future Past is his most recent movie and he dies multiple times in that, so it comes as no surprise to see it as the post popular answer here, he also rocks some seriously sexy facial hair in it. The Ruins, in which we see him shower in the rain and show off his mighty bulge is close behind and Frozen, a horror movie set in the mountains and not the Disney movie is a close third. He was never in Titanic and I have no idea if Werewolves Luv Vampires 4 is real but it sounds like a bad porno.

5 | X-men: Days of Future Past (Regina, Joe., notfurlong, Leonardo, Oliver, Haus)
4 | The Ruins (Jonjo, Acidburn, Harry, Ultraviolence, dhwe)
3 | Frozen (Josh, Cameron, Jahq, Chez)

0 | The Day (Mack)
0 | Werewolves Luv Vampires 4 (Ritchie)
0 | Titanic (Dobbo)

Posted by: Joe. 7th February 2016, 04:56 PM

Thank god for the first post being a red herring then.

Posted by: •Josh• 7th February 2016, 05:00 PM

Ah, X-men seems like the obvious choice there but I sort of forgot that those characters in the future died, seems silly to have overlooked that now D:

Posted by: HarryEzra 7th February 2016, 05:50 PM

I didnt acttually put down X Men (didnt know he was in it) - flop X Men stan laugh.gif

Posted by: Regina 7th February 2016, 05:53 PM

3 | Name a still living person who only needs a Tony in order to become an EGOT.

9 | Kate Winslet (Regina, Joe., Jonjo, Acidburn, Josh, Cameron, Mack, Leonardo, Ultraviolence, Chez)
3 | Cher (notfurlong, Harry, Jahq, dhwe)

0 | Julie Andrews (Oliver)
0 | Martin Scorsese (Haus)

0 | Steve Martin (Ritchie)
0 | Tony Hadley (Dobbo)

For those unaware, an EGOT is a person who has won an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony, thus proving they are a force of nature in the worlds of television, music, movie and theatre. There are a few people who are only one award away from becoming a full EGOT (so are just an EGO right now) and the one who is probably most likely to get that Tony is Kate Winslet, who won her Emmy for Mildred Pierce, Grammy for Listen to the Storyteller and an Oscar for The Reader. Cher is the only other name to get points for people and is probably less likely to become a full EGOT. Julie Andrews and Martin Scorsese are both correct but non scoring answers and I'm not dignifying the other two with a response.

Posted by: Joe. 7th February 2016, 05:57 PM

What a woman.

Posted by: Regina 7th February 2016, 06:46 PM

4 | Name a 90’s Rom Com that starred Meg Ryan and her old face.

9 | Sleepless in Seattle (Joe., Acidburn, notfurlong, Harry, Mack, Jahq, Chez, dhwe, Oliver, Haus)
4 | You’ve Got Mail (Regina, Jonjo, Josh, Leonardo, Ultraviolence)

0 | When A Man Loves A Woman (Cameron)
0 | When Harry Met Sally (Ritchie)
0 | Sex On the Beach (Dobbo)

Back in the 90's and early 00's, Meg Ryan was a force of nature with her movies, she basically ruled the romantic genre. Along the way she had help from a certain Tom Hanks, they did 3 movies together, but the ones that were mainly about them were Sleepless in Seattle and You've Got Mail, both of which were the scoring answers here. You've Got Mail is my preferred Meg-Tom film, a much nicer story, but SiS is by far the better known one.
When A Man Loves A Woman isn't what I call a comedy, but it still fitted the main criteria I guess and When Harry Met Sally is a Rom Com but alas, it came out in December 1989, so just a month out of the time frame I asked for. Sex On The Beach is a big no no.

Posted by: Joe. 7th February 2016, 06:54 PM

Okay, 4 questions deep and all top answers *.*

Posted by: Regina 7th February 2016, 07:49 PM

5 | Name a song by Céline Dion that was written and recorded especially for a movie.

17 | My Heart Will Go On (Regina, Joe., Ritchie, Dobbo, Jonjo, Acidburn, Josh, notfurlong, Harry, Cameron, Mack, Leonardo, Jahq, Ultraviolence, Chez, dhwe, Oliver, Haus)

Originally I planned to make this question "Other than My Heart Will Go On..." but I decided to be nice to you all and let you have some easy points. I think I worded the question a but stupidly too, I really meant a song that was used as a theme for a movie but also on her albums, but nobody fell into any traps so it doesn't matter much.
If anyone is interested, the other choices you coulda gone for are Beauty & The Beast (Beauty & The Beast), Because You Loved Me (Up Close And Personal), When I Fall In Love (Sleepless In Seattle) Then You Look At Me (The Bicentennial Man) or Unfinished Songs (Song For Marion). My Heart Will Go On is obviously from Titanic and is one of the best selling songs of all time so the safest bet, slay Céline, slay. If you are unaware of these songs then I fully recommend them, especially Then You Look At Me which features some insane vocals from Ms. Dion.

Posted by: J▲hq 7th February 2016, 08:09 PM

Looking through the options I thought Kate Winslet would be the wisest choice, but Cher is too iconic kink.gif

Posted by: Joe. 7th February 2016, 08:21 PM

More results please Regina

Posted by: Dobbo 7th February 2016, 08:22 PM

OMG I got one w00t.gif

Posted by: Regina 7th February 2016, 08:26 PM

6 | Name an actor who has over 10 Oscar nominations and won at least one.

7 | Meryl Streep (Joe., Ritchie, Acidburn, notfurlong, Cameron, Leonardo, Ultraviolence, Chez)
7 | Jack Nicholson (Regina, Jonjo, Josh, Harry, Jahq, dhwe, Oliver, Haus)

0 | Brad Pitt (Dobbo)
0 | Julia Roberts (Mack)

When I first wrote this, I did mean male actors, but since it wasn't toally clear, I accepted the answers given. Queen Meryl has been nominated for 19 Oscars, winning 3 of them, she has been nominated more than any other actor/actress, slay. Jack Nicholson has 12 nominations, making him the most nominated actor of all time, he has also won 3 of them. Other correct answers are Kathrrine Hepburn, Bette Davis and Laurence Olivier. Julia Roberts has 4 nominations to her name, Brad Pitt has 6, so neither are correct answers I'm afraid.

Posted by: Joe. 7th February 2016, 08:30 PM

It's an interesting one, 'actor' used to only apply to men, but as the years have gone on, it's been used more and more for women, too.

Posted by: Ultraviolence1989 7th February 2016, 08:56 PM

Kate, My Heart Will Go On and Meryl all being top answers heart.gif heart.gif

Posted by: Regina 7th February 2016, 09:08 PM

7 | Name a successful set of acting siblings.

5 | Jake & Maggie Gyllenhaal (Jonjo, Josh, Mack, dhwe, Oliver)
2 | Casey & Ben Affleck (Joe., Ultraviolence, Chez)
1 | The Baldwins (Acidburn, Leonardo)

0 | Jeff & Beau Bridges (Ritchie)
0 | Kate & Rooney Mara (notfurlong)
0 | Emily & Zoey Deschannel (Harry)
0 | Hilary & Hailee Duff (Cameron)
0 | Chris & Liam Hemsworth (Jahq)
0 | Shawn & Aaron Ashmore (Regina)
0 | The Franco Brothers (Haus)

0 | Will & Bill Smith (Dobbo)

I really should give furlong negative points for naming that hideous creature from the deepest pits of HELL, Kate Mara, but I won't.
Multpile award winning brother and sister duo Jake and Maggie Gyllenhaal, maybe surprisingly, lead the pack here. I never expected that. I did think the Hemsworths would have gotten more mentions and also wrongly assumed that because I had mentioned one of them already in this quiz that the Ashmore twins would pick me up a few points. As far as I know, there is no Bill Smith, #FamilyFortunesSoWhite

Posted by: Ultraviolence1989 7th February 2016, 09:19 PM

I nearly went for the Gyllenhaal's, so annoyed I didn't now!

Posted by: Joe. 7th February 2016, 09:23 PM

Damn, I really struggled with that one. Jake and Maggie are the obvious choice but they just didn't come to mind!

Posted by: HarryEzra 7th February 2016, 09:31 PM

Yeah I didnt think of the most popular answer there

Posted by: •Josh• 7th February 2016, 09:32 PM

Thought that Celine question might have been a trick and maybe it wasn't written specifically for Titanic or something because it seemed so obvious, at least I didn't swap it out.

Lucky I went for the top answer on the sibling question, I was going to go for the Maras first as well but now the Hemsworths seem so obvious, poor Jahq!

Posted by: Chez Wombat 7th February 2016, 09:33 PM

I'm actually surprised the Gylenhaals are top there, they didn't strike me as an obvious one. Did no one go for Julia & Eric Roberts?! ohmy.gif They were my second choice after the Afflecks!

I almost put X Men for Q2, but he was alive at the end of the movie so I thought it wasn't technically an 'end', ugh dry.gif

Posted by: J▲hq 7th February 2016, 09:36 PM

Guys sad.gif I thought Chris/Liam were obvious, one being a big superhero and the last Hunger Games movie being pretty recent cry.gif

Had no idea that Kate and Rooney were sisters laugh.gif

And Chez, I looked up the X Men movie but I read that snippet on Wikipedia and avoided it. Boo laugh.gif

Posted by: Regina 7th February 2016, 09:38 PM

History was re-written in X-men DoFP laugh.gif so he was alive at the end, but still died, if that makes sense.

Posted by: Mack 7th February 2016, 09:41 PM

I definitely misread question 1 there.

Posted by: Regina 7th February 2016, 09:43 PM

8 | Name a popular female character from the Hobbit and/or Lord of the Rings franchise.

10 | Galadriel (Joe., Josh, notfurlong, Harry, Cameron, Mack, Leonardo, Jahq, Ultraviolence, Chez, Haus)
4 | Arwen (Ritchie, Jonjo, Acidburn, dhwe, Oliver)

0 | Eowyn (Regina)
0 | The Girl Hobbit (Dobbo)

I've not seen any of the Hobbit movies but I am gonna assume Galadriel pops up in them, either that or being played by a 2 time Oscar winner makes her more popular. Arwen is a pussy who spends most of the franchise pining after Aragorn and does one noteworthy thing (saving fellow pussy Frodo). NOBODY went for actual femme fatale Eowyn, who defies the rules of the Rohan court, dresses up as a man, smuggles sexy hobbit Merry who was also discriminated against and the two of them ride to war and kick serious orc butt, Eowyn manages to find time to literally bitch slap Gothmog, queen.
She also kills the Witch King, when will Arwen, all she did was give them a bath. Pussy ass bitch. Eowyn also gets to bed down with hunky Faramir, a far better man than Arabore tbh. Anyway, no points for the girl hobbit, whoever that is.

Jack! They look so similar though!

Omg 'the girl hobbit' Hahahaha Dobbo

Arwen Is my fav, but I think G was a lot more obvious.

Came across Arwen first, glad I did a bit more digging and found that Cate had been in the movies

I can see it now that it's been pointed out kink.gif Never really put two and two together, Rooney is an Oscar nominee and Kate...starred in that Fantastic Four flop

OMG Dobbo's answer :')

9 | Name a music video directed by Zack Snyder.

8 | My Chemical Romance “Desolation Row” (Joe., Jonjo, notfurlong, Harry, Cameron, Leonardo, Jahq, Chez, dhwe)
2 | Morrisey – Tomorrow (Acidburn, Josh, Mack)
2 | Peter Murphy – You’re So Close (Regina, Oliver, Haus)

0 | Dionne Farris – I Know (Ultraviolence)
0 | Los Del Rio – Macarena (Ritchie)
0 | Wrecking Ball (Dobbo)

Zack Snyder is a director best known for directing loads of suoerhero movies, namely the new Superman and various DC related movies, and also for being a hunky bast*rd. He's found time to direct some music videos too, none of which I have any interest in, hence the badass Lois Lane gifs. My Chmical Romance get the most points here, as does Mirrisey and Peter Murphy. He did not direct Macarena or Wrecking Ball to the best of my knowledge.

My Chemical Romance slaying *.*

Gyllenhaal's were the easy answer for me! Although the Hemsworth's & Franco's seem to be a lot more "obvious" but I'm (obviously) happy that Jake & Maggie came out on top *.*

I did too, but thought Regina would be mean and say "technically he didn't die" etc... ;D

Arwen was the only one who came to mind. I really don't like the LOTR franchise so didn't really care for this question ultimately laugh.gif

I'm not a mean hoe who would deny people points Jonjo, unlike you smoke.gif

10 | Name a movie that has been turned into a Lego video game.

11 | Star Wars (Regina, Joe., Ritchie, Dobbo, Acidburn, Josh. Cameron, Mack, Jahq, Ultraviolence, Chez, dhwe)
1 | The Avengers (notfurlong, Harry)
1 | The Lego Movie (Leonardo, Oliver)
1 | Batman (Jonjo, Haus)

Everyone gets points! Yaaaay.
So many good movies have been turned into Lego games, including The Lego Movie, unsurprisingly. The most popular answer was Star Wars, which makes sense as I believe it was one of the first ones made and is popular what with the new movie out. A Lego version of said new movie is coming out soon too. The AVnegers and Batman get some love here too, with the former being the newest release in the franchise.

Posted by: Joe. 7th February 2016, 10:43 PM

Okay, now for the question that could go any way....

Posted by: J▲hq 7th February 2016, 10:45 PM

Yay, learning from my mistake of not answering Star Wars in the Disney round

Posted by: •Josh• 7th February 2016, 10:51 PM

So excited for Lego The Force Awakens to come out, looks so good from the trailers. I think the Marvel ones have been the best two made but the Lego Star Wars complete saga was my childhood and I adored the Harry Potter ones loads too. Jurassic World not so much but it's fun being Lego dinosaurs too.

Posted by: dhwe 7th February 2016, 11:10 PM

Yeah for the Shawn Ashmore question I just went on the wiki for each of his films and ctrl+F'ed his character in the synopsis. Should've probably skimmed a bit.

Lol at the LOTR question though, I was gonna go for Galadriel seeing as she was played by Cate Blanchett but I wrongly assumed that they were listed by order of importance on the characters list on Wikipedia, and Arwen came first. I haven't seen the any of the films since I was a kid so I was p much clueless.

Posted by: HarryEzra 7th February 2016, 11:14 PM

Poor The Avengers sad.gif

Posted by: Regina 7th February 2016, 11:15 PM

Are y'all ready for the bonus?

Posted by: Joe. 7th February 2016, 11:17 PM

Bring it

Posted by: Regina 7th February 2016, 11:28 PM

BONUS: Name my favourite part of Sebastian Stan’s body.

6 | Arms/Biceps (Regina, notfurlong)
2 | Eyes (Joe., Acidburn, Ultraviolence)
1 | Bum (Jonjo, Jahq)
1 | Face (Josh, Harry)
1 | Mouth/Lips (dhwe, Oliver)
1 | Legs (Chez, Haus)
0 | Brain (Ritchie)
0 | Chin (Dobbo)
0 | Penis (Cameron)
0 | Torso (Mack)

Sebastian Stan *.* Romania's greatest gift to the world. The greatets gift to mankind ever tbh. The most perfect human being ever tbh. Sexy amazing GOD of everything.
Anyway, I rather like him and every part of his body so this was a win win question, but only one person guessed that his mighty arms are my favourite part of him, well done fur.
Not to be too explicit but I would lick them up and down like a fleshy lolipop and then cuddle into them and watch You've Got Mail.
Look at those muscular specimins, he could hug you and crush mountains at the same time. His hauntingly beautiful eyes also get some points as does his small but otherwise cute bum, his kissable lips and his strong and mighty legs. His ripped torso doesn't get enough love and neither does his Weiner Solider.

Posted by: Joe. 7th February 2016, 11:31 PM

So the winning answer isn't actually the winning answer here? Slay Fur.

Cam, I just knew someone would go there!
