We have a teaser of the trailer that is arriving tomorrow, seems to capture his humour pretty well I think, love how Fox are even laughing at themselves for sewing his mouth closed laugh.gif

It'll probably just be the same trailer they showed at Comic Con. The one with the fight in the car.

I can't say I'm looking forward to this film. I find Deadpool annoying. Much prefer Deathstroke

Posted by: PaulM1983 3rd August 2015, 10:11 PM

As far as teasers go, that's pretty perfect.

The Comic-Con trailer was amazing.

Posted by: J▼hnkm 3rd August 2015, 11:13 PM

My only knowledge of Deadpool is as a constant irritation in Lego Marvel Superheroes so I'll probably give this a miss, unless the BUZZ is amazing.

Those side missions where you can't stop him talking before and after the level? Or the fact he's probably the hardest character to get behind Aunt May lmao...

Posted by: J▼hnkm 4th August 2015, 09:35 AM

Basically ANY time he talks, but bloody hell those missions where he spends like a minute dancing and you can't skip really tested me.

Posted by: Josh. 4th August 2015, 09:39 AM

Yep and then once you complete it and you think you're finally free, he has a minute of dialogue AFTER too, gah sad.gif

Posted by: Ninjabait 4th August 2015, 03:49 PM

I was mildly pumped for this movie, but the trailer for the trailer has made me really excited for this movie. I never actually read the comics (don't judge meeee), so I mainly have experience with Deadpool through cultural osmosis. But that kind of makes me more curious, haha.

Posted by: Regina 4th August 2015, 08:22 PM

Ryan Reynolds is too pretty to be Deadpool tbh, unless they're gonna put in the whole "getting cancer and going through Wepaon X and getting the warped healing factor"
thing in the movie.

Posted by: Jonjo 4th August 2015, 10:20 PM

They have everything BANG ON about this. The hype has been second to none! Really looking forward to it!

2nd Teaser.

Well from what we saw in the Comic Con footage, they do a pretty good job of making him a lot less pretty.

Trailer is here, I think a lot of it is from the CC trailer but I don't really remember it all that well.

Two versions so one can be shown in 12A's probably?

Looks like a lot of fun so yay, even the ending to the green band trailer was funny and it's not even important biggrin.gif

Posted by: J▼hnkm 5th August 2015, 10:59 AM

Ok, that has sold me. This is clearly going to be amazing, though I probably won't watch it with my family as is THE NORM.

Posted by: Mart!n 5th August 2015, 11:09 AM

That looks pretty amazing, Deadpool is not my favourite Marvel character though, probably looking at the first Marvel film rated 15. Mostly looking forward to the Gambit movie.

Posted by: Regina 5th August 2015, 02:01 PM

Looks MEH tbh, there is only so much Deadpool I can handle, a whole movie is too much.

Posted by: Hadji 5th August 2015, 08:41 PM

It's odd that he's the hero seeing as he was the villain in X-Men Origins: Wolverine

Posted by: Regina 5th August 2015, 08:42 PM

Deadpool is neither a hero nor a villain.

Posted by: Jonjo 6th August 2015, 01:01 AM

Looks phenomenal. *.*

So pumped for this. <3

Going to see this Wednesday, excited!!

Must say, the marketing has been so on point..

Posted by: Ultraviolence1989 6th February 2016, 01:39 PM

Really happy this is a 15, meaning I can see it in the cinema! Will arrange to see it at some point over the next couple of weeks, looks so great heart.gif

Posted by: Regina 6th February 2016, 01:43 PM

I can't help but feel the trailers and various promo tactics will be more fun and entertaining than the actual movie.

Posted by: Joe. 9th February 2016, 11:09 AM

I was a bit disappointed by this. Some of the gags didn't land properly for me. But it was fun and entertaining, some of it made me laugh. It feels a little cheap though, I feel as though they could have gotten a better villain. Meh, 3/5

Posted by: Iz~ 11th February 2016, 12:17 AM

I rather loved it. Had very limited experience of Deadpool before this aside from knowing who he was, and I thought it was very entertaining (for a superhero movie, I'm normally so harsh on those). Helped that the whole theatre was laughing but even though I saw some of the jokes coming, there were a few that were a bit more unexpected and clever.

I think I just love being fourth walled at.

Posted by: Jonjo 11th February 2016, 03:48 AM

I really enjoyed it too. It didn't go the extra mile in terms of story or anything and it could have been "amazing", but tbh it was pretty much as you would expect it to be. Ryan Reynolds was born to play Deadpool and I'm so glad it's got a sequel confirmed. The post-credits scene was amazing! laugh.gif

loveeeeeeeed this. so many self referential moments and the Bradley cooper mask is just making me laugh

Posted by: Cody Lightwood 13th February 2016, 07:32 AM

Just the first five minutes had me screaming. Deadpool is literal QUEEN.

Huge Jackman you mean? I did dose off a bit though so might have missed that.

Posted by: Rooney 13th February 2016, 02:02 PM

Saw it Wednesday - loved it! Not a huge fan of the Marvel films, but loved how this film was so self aware.

Posted by: Mart!n 13th February 2016, 04:16 PM

I was in two minds over this, but I was won over, great credits at the start, gags aplenty "right up main street" laugh.gif loads of kick arse action that busty woman really kicked arse hate to meet her in a dark alley, very impressive at the end, I never thought this movie would do that good considering the rating for it. My own down point, the annoying British villain, just came across as a right tw@t. Roll on Captain America.

Posted by: J▲hq 13th February 2016, 04:48 PM

Really really enjoyed it, loved how it didn't take itself seriously at all and how it got straight into the action. Ryan Reynolds and Morena Baccarin were both fab. The humour mostly hit the mark for me, can't wait for the sequel!

Posted by: Chez Wombat 13th February 2016, 09:35 PM

Adding to the love for this. There are way too many superhero movies atm, so to see one so self-aware and with a protagonist that can definitely not be described as a conventional hero was brilliant. I've not laughed as much at a Marvel film in a long time. Colossus, Negasonic and the blind coke addict were fab too <3 Francis & Copycat were a bit one dimensional, but certainly didn't take away from my enjoyment of the film.

Posted by: •Josh• 19th February 2016, 01:22 PM

I did really enjoy this but I think some of the reactions to it are a bit hyperbolic, top 50 of all-time on IMDB? My favourite thing about it was how well-choreographed the action wise, it's a shame that the budget wasn't higher because I'd have happily watched Deadpool flipping around with blades and guns for hours. I liked the humour side to it too, especially the fourth wall breaking and the pop culture references, my favourite joke was about the studio only being able to afford 2 X-men laugh.gif It was hilarious as well when his bones kept breaking as he tried to punch/kick Colossus and then did a 127 Hours on us and then the hand grows back as a baby first, it was all just so bonkers and refreshing to see in a supehero movie that it's a bit of a shame that at other times it was pretty much just tits and ass jokes :/ I actually preferred the raunchy humour in Dirty Grandpa but that got destroyed by critics :/

I'm glad Ryan Reynolds got to make this finally and that it did have so many highs but I think it's lack of action forces me to put it behind a few of the other superhero blockbusters, incredibly happy that a sequel has already been greenlit though biggrin.gif

Posted by: Joe. 19th February 2016, 01:37 PM

I agree that the reactions for this have been somewhat over the top Josh. It's an undeniably great movie but it's not show-stoppingly good.

the broken wrists scene had me howling

also never realised how much of a fan of slapstick I was til watching this. blind woman tripping etc

Really enjoyed this! So much fun, the script was really funny and the movie was a fresh and innovative take on the genre. Ryan Reynolds was fantastic in the lead role and I think that's easily the best he has been since The Proposal heart.gif I also loved the supporting cast and thought Morena Baccarin was great! The film was intriguing the entire time and had many entertaining and interesting moments, along with a lot of funny jokes (and the couple of Wolverine/Green Lantern stuff were pretty funny). My highlight of the movie though was the title credits at the start, possibly one of my favourite ever and so funny, was laughing so much! Also the end credits was great (glad my friend forced us all to wait because we all thought there wasn't one), despite getting no information, taking the mockery of end credits scenes and basically saying we should have left was so funny!.

9.5/10

I thought it was great fun and extremely entertaining. I'd probably place it as my favourite film of the year so far, but like others have said I wouldn't say it was that incredible. The humour was on point and the film was full of action. So yeah, extremely entertaining!

Posted by: popchartfreak 23rd February 2016, 09:14 PM

great movie, Ryan Reynolds finally gets the vehicle that does his dry, deprecating sense of humour justice. Yes, it's violent, dubious morality at times, but it is SO funny and very knowing, lampooning the genre it lives in, lampooning Ryan and his own career, talking directly to the audience with plenty of pop culture references for comics and movie fandom geeks (like me). In terms of wisecracking vengeful killers, few actors could carry it off and come out of it smelling of endearing roses. Pluses for me Morena Baccarin (famous mostly for Homeland among the non-sci-fi fraternity but beloved by me for Firefly), Galaxyquest's Jed Rees as a smooth baddie, and Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, beloved of me as Kizzy in Roots, a 70's showstopping performance in a major TV miniseries, and I've not seen her on screen in decades. Hooray! She's fab in this.

Film of the year so far for me along with The Big Short, beats the pants off over-rated tedious blowhards like The Revenant.

Posted by: Cody Slayberry 23rd February 2016, 11:16 PM

"Chicken Noodle. Nothing Compares 2 U. Sinead O'Connor."

I was HOWLING. (Mainly because I had been WAITING for that joke the minute she appeared on screen.

Posted by: Jonjo 24th February 2016, 12:44 AM

I enjoyed this much more on 2nd viewing tbh. I think I had a bit too high expectations originally, but the 2nd viewing I appreciated it a lot more (although I never disliked it in the first place!)

Omg we walked after credits began rolling. There was something after it?!? Fucccckkkk

Anyway, just saw this. It was amazing! Just slayed everything. That meta Ryan Reynolds joke was everything.

went to see it a second time, still great yahoo.gif

PS the post-credits scene is a direct copy of Ferris Bueller's Day Off post-credits scene (and also right down to the quoting of Oh Yeah by Yellow featured in the film) chick-a-chick-yeahhhhhh. Breaking the Fourth Wall was a Big Thing in that film... cool.gif

"Deadpool" is a comedy superhero film that was released in my country in the middle of February! The truth is that it was advertised enough by multiplex in the previous months and many movie sites wrote many articles for its content. Though, I was not very impressed by its official trailer, I wanted to see it on the big screen especially after the huge success of the American Box Office. "Deadpool" hit the top of our Box Office in its first weekend of release while its receipts far exceeded the other movies that weekend.
"Deapool" is an unconventional super-hero film that came to shake the "still waters" of Marvel. The central character of the story is Wade Wilson, a former agent of the special forces and now mercenary, who learns that he has thyroid cancer and that the cancer evolves very quickly to his vital organs. Having no other choice, he will be submitted to a test for the sole purpose of a cure, abandoning his beloved Vanessa. However, those in charge of the experiment have other plans in mind and Wilson will end up deformed but he will also have the ability to heal very quickly. So, Wilson will adopt his alter ego Deadpool and he will search to find the person who destroyed his life. Besides, he will try to approach Vanessa but every time he will hesitate because he is no longer the one she loves. "Deadpool" is an incredible movie that will surely fascinate the mature audience of Marvel. It combines adventure with caustic and coarse humor and the protagonist of the film, Ryan Reynolds, is enjoyable in his role. He's f***in' awesome! "Deadpool" had stunning visual effects, great film editing, brilliant dialogues and very funny characters. The best friend of Deadpool is undoubtedly one of the best comic characters of recent years! Tim Miller did an excellent job even though it was his first directorial job while the two screenwriters Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick had crazy inspiration writing the story of the movie! Deadpool is seen pleasantly from beginning to end and it contains all the elements that will delight fans. It is one of the few films that made me laugh so much although the hero initially experiencing a very dramatic situation. However, this does not mean that it is not moving because there were times in the first hour mainly that touched the chord of viewers.
Deadpool is already one of my favorite movies ever! He is amazing, he has genius humor, he has a dig at everyone and he is not compatible with anything (something like me smile.gif). It made an impressive opening at the American Box Office and broke the three-day record for the month of February ever! It has received very positive reviews from critics and it has assembled a high rating of 8,1 on IMDb by its users. I honestly did not expect to like it so much and I'm already looking forward to the sequel. I wish it is a dope film like the one I saw!

PS On the positive side of Deadpool: the sexy Morena Baccarin is the most intriguing love interest of any super hero.
