Hey guys, my brand new chart has now been published!
It also features my first ever album chart!! It was a fierce battle for number one this week, Disconnect was pulling ahead early in the week as it faced off Praying, the sudden shock death of Chester Benington sent several Linkin Park songs into the chart so Heavy was left facing Disconnect and Praying. Eventually Praying managed to hold onto its posish. It is just such a beautiful, emotive song and I can really relate to it. In fact, all 3 of the #1 contenders are emotive! As Clean Bandit & Marina didn't make it this week, it is unsure how much longer they will stick around at the top of the chart as they are now in their 4th chart week. Although Rockabye reached #1 in its 12th week so perhaps it is too early to write it off yet! Elsewhere, Kesha has another entry in the chart in the form of this week's #5, the song sees Kesha make a bit of a return to her previous sound as it is a lot dancier than ballad Praying. Kesha's currently has 3 numbers ones on the chart which are Crazy Kids, True Colors, and of course Praying. with the release of Woman, and new album Rainbow approaching then we could see this number rise! AronChupa enter at #10 with Llama In The Living Room. This fun, quirky dance track was brought to my attention by some other chart posters here and it quickly entered my chart after first hearing it. It is in a similar vain to Albatroaz. Amelle's in at #11 with Summertime, the former Sugababe released the track in 2014 but it failed to make any impact on my chart. However, times change and tatses developed and I have recently let the song back into my life and I am loving it. It is very much in the vain of Malibu by Miley Cyrus. Amelle formerly hit #1 with Adam J and Nightcrashers in 2013 with Love (Is All We Need). I think it's about time she released a follow-up! The Script are in at #12 with new track Rain. This song definitely sounds like a hit and it is their second ever entry in the chart after Superheroes reached #30 on 25th August 2014! Honey G's down to #13 with Hit you WITH The Honey G, the song was due to increase this week but she was pushed down the Linkin Park tracks that re-entered and entered this week. #221 - 24 July 40 Serj Tankian - The Unthinking Majority (20-20-27-26-30-40) 39 Ben Haenow - Alive (20) 38 Korn Die Yet Another Night (6-8-11-21-21-22-29-38) 37 Katy Perry Swish Swish (feat. Hi Tombo, good to see Linkin Park with so many tracks and albums, a track I very much under-rated at the time is topping my chart today, very tragic news it is.
I don't recall that amelle track, playing it now, it's nice. Good to see The Script entering high, a good track against all my expectations, you never can tell! good charts! cheers john |

Hi Tombo
Quite a decent track from Kesha there, I wouldn't have expected her to come back with a ballad & make the top 40! Nice to see some LP tracks here, Numb has always been fave and I actually quite liked Heavy too Not hugely fussed on the Script song but it's quite catchy I guess, good on them for continuing to get hits Didn't like Mama from Jonas Blue but am liking a track off his massive album called Don't Call It Love, hope that can be another hit for him! Great chart |

Hi Tombo
Great new entry from Kesha, I'm loving Woman even more than Praying at the moment. It has that classic old school fun Kesha vibe to it, not heard the brand new track yet but excited for the album. Good to see In the End enter so high too, it really is one of my favourite LP tracks as well. Such a shame about Chester |

I didn't realise there was another one out, I've gotta listen to it! I agree about In The End and yeah, it is so sad about Chester |

Hi Tombo
It's nice to see so many Linkin Park tracks enter. I haven't heard any of their new album but they have released some classics. Especially Numb. Love the Fetish new entry too. Very cool and sultry song but the video is so weird. Wild Thoughts & Instruction are both slowly growing on me. Great chart |
