I think these two have some similarities in style. I prefer Save Tonight though.

I actually do like Olé but Eagle Eye Cherry is superior.

Honestly can't see the similarities with these two songs though...

Eagle Eye Cherry wins this hands down. 'Save Tonight' was on the very first Now compilation I owned so I'm biased to my 90s youth.

The very same. Although Tape 1 Side 1 saw the most love and wear primarily as Billie Piper "Because We Want To" was on that side biggrin.gif

Olé has grown on me but it really is hated by the general public! Play listed on R1 & R2 and reduced to 59p can't even save it!

It's a very risky direction for John Newman to take. Maybe if a remix was made with a featured artist it might get some more attention.

It is an actual insult comparing a bonafide classic to...whatever the hell that John Newman track is, I srsly have no idea what he was trying to achieve with this.

They are both smooth jazz-pop tracks with similar style vocals so thats why I compared them.

I like both songs (Save Tonight is an old skool classic) but I honestly can't see the similarity between the two songs.

'Save Tonight' wins out here on the basis of actually being good!! laugh.gif

The John Newman song is a complete misfire while the Eagle Eye Cherry song is remembered very fondly with a strong chorus.

Save Tonight and Ole have absolutely nothing in common!

Anyway, Save Tonight wins for me hands down. Ole is terrible.

you're reminding me of Eric Blob at the moment with all these random song comparisons, I don't see what they have in common laugh.gif

gave Ole a vote anyhow as I actually like that song.
