Tough call between Brutalismus 3000 and Funk Tribu but I've gone for the latter.

Well, here’s what I made of this week’s selection;
1. Funk Tribu feat. Lucy Dye – All Of It [This is sounding like some very good production, I liked this one] 2. Pretty Girl – A New Light [A nice little slice of electronic dance music, very little to fault here] 3. Sound of Fractures – Let Go [This one did pass me by a little but I think it’s because I listened to it whilst quite tired and didn’t pay attention] 4. Giulia Tess – Domenico [A little different I guess, it didn’t stand out massively but I’ll give it creative potential] 5. Kölsch – Environ [Always happy to seek out new Kölsch music, and this one was decent] 6. Brutalismus 3000 – DIE LIEBE KOMMT NICHT AUS BERLIN [Well it’s a bit shouty, I didn’t really connect with it unfortunately, but the BPM was good] 7. Nia Archives – Sunrise Bang Ur Head Against Tha Wall [As stated in the Dance track poll, this just wasn’t for me] 8. CRUSH3d – Slug [Ok not going to lie this one confused me, like what is it trying to be? I don’t get it] Not the strongest selection I hasten to add, but at least I’ve been able to find something new that was a discovery that I liked! |

Re-listening to 'DIE LIEBE KOMMT NICHT AUS BERLIN' again and the production is reminding me of a more hyperactive 'Kernkraft 400'. Definitely high praise *.*
Pretty Girl was a close second for me. |

Oop didn't get around to doing the last Dance Track of the Week poll but got this one done, will still check the songs from the other poll again x
Great: Kölsch, Brutalismus 3000, Funk Tribu Very good: CRUSH3d, Sound Of Fractures, Pretty Girl Good: Giulia Tess, Nia Archives Fantastic list here, will be playlisting all of these! (Nia may have come last out of these but still a bit of a return to form for her after not being a big fan of her last single, this one just doesn't feel as fleshed out as it could but still a banger). Very close between my top 2 but giving the vote to Kölsch, this is the best I've heard from him in a while. That Brutalismus 3000 track was a fab discovery too though, it is very Zombie Nation meets Crystal Castles - I wonder how you come across some of these songs, seems like some very obscure picks that make it in sometimes but maybe my finger just isn't quite on the pulse of the alt electronic scene buzz (not complaining anyway as it's fab to hear some songs I'd never have come across otherwise ofc)! |

Ty Bre! Brutalismus 3000 has quite a big underground following actually. The music video is already on 200k views. The other tracks I mostly hear through some tasteful Spotify playlists or Instagram stories - Pretty Girl was hyping CRUSH3d on hers this week.
Speaking of Pretty Girl, not the most instant of hers but it's grown a lot as the week has gone on and kind of regret not voting for it now (although that would have made a tie, so actually I made my life easier by choosing Giulia Tess instead ) New poll will be up in the next couple of hours. Btw guys if you want to nominate something for the next poll, please do! As long as it's a release from this week and in the alternative electronic/rave genre umbrella |
