getting most of the flops out of the way first. Sunlight being in the final was quite surprising in the first place so in a non shock it finishes last. Poor Avicii finishes close to last but thankfully he has 2 better songs higher up in the countdown. As well as Sunlight there are quite a few other recent chart hits but also 90s #1s at the top of the section.

Calvin Harris tops and tails this section, with the more recent Pray To God making a good showing in its first year and Sweet Nothing still sounding great a few years later. Swedish popstar Tove Lo's chart debut also makes its first appearance at number 69 thanks to the chill-trap(??) beats of Hippie Sabotage. The classic What Is Love is somehow as low as #66 although it is not the biggest surprise of the contest. The rest of the section is filled with more recent tunes including Duke Dumont's 2nd and last entry in the top 80 and Swedish House Mafia's first of 2 (not hard to guess what the other one is). It's also pleasing to see Clarity above Break Free in terms of Zedd songs. (oh wait..)

I can't believe it myself but yes, last year's #3 ultimate dance song is now #59. A lot of the songs fans such as Jade and Cal didn't vote this year which partly explains it but SRSLY? Blonde's breakthrough single is one place above it, I actually prefer the follow up All Cried Out but it seems that a lot of you love this. After poor performances in previous years Language finally makes somewhat of a good showing, climbing to #53 this year. Ariana Grande makes a strong appearance too although I wouldn't put it near my top 100 ultimate dance tunes. A very recent song in Runaway is a place above and is a song I imagine will continue to do well in this as it gets deservedly a lot of love here. The beat songs of the section are thankfully mostly at the top though with the aforementioned Language as well as future classic Latch and already a classic One More Time

the best thing about this section is of course Oliver Heldens climbing into the top 50 this year (in my opinion). Gecko remains an absolute TUNE! Some more recent songs here too of course including a new entry for Ten Walls, who has turned out to be a big homophobe resulting in his career getting ruined. Walking With Elephants still remains a great song though and it has a decent top 50 showing. The section also has big tunes from Route 94 and Rudimental and shockingly an Avicii song that I'm not a massive fan of. Collide is probably his weakest chart hit but with Leona's big fan base of course it got major loving from Buzzjack users. Call On Me ends the section unfortunately just missing out on the top 40.

Now into the top 40, which starts off with Get Lucky which is top 40 for another year which is great to see. Avicii is one place above him making for 2 11/10 songs in a row. Seriously good start to the top 40. Galvanize finally does well in this competition too, entering at #37 this year. The song has always been my fave of theirs so good to see. Also loving that they've got Q Tip for their new single which I love right now. Another Chem Bros song is in this section, Hey boy Hey Girl at #34. Some more greatness in here also although Jubel as high as #31 already seems a bit odd.

Into the top 30 and very pleasingly Mr Probz starts the top 25 with the amazing Waves which spend 9 weeks at #1 in my personal chart so of course I really love it. You can't get much better than this in the contest really but you put 24 songs above it, still impressed with the position though. Some proper 90s classics drop out in this section which includes Rhythm Of The Night which drops from last year's top 10 to number 30. Also the amazing Stardust anthem which does repetitive dance really well which is one place under Firestarter which couldnt really be further in sound away from it whilst still being a dance song. Another unconventional dance song appears at #28 from Massive Attack which did well in the first year and dropped out last year. Anyway it's back now. Another wtf exclusion from last year's list came from Sonique but she gets her rate revenge and is now at #21 with her only UK #1 hit It Feels So Good. Other than Waves the only really recent song here is Animals which is a place behind Sonique

Music Sounds Better With You is obviously a classic and a FAB FAB FAB classic at that <3 good to see it doing nicely here (all of this can also apply to Firestarter too!)

Into groups of 5 now that we're in the top 20. At the top end is Set You Free, the first winner of this competition which fell to #5 and now outside the top 15, probably thanks to its biggest fans gooddelta and Jonjo not voting this year, oop. Prayer In C does very well for its first showing too entering at #17, clearly the 2 Robin Schulz megasmashes really connected with buzzjack users myself included. Fragma starts the top 20 with UK #1 Toca's Miracle and certified trance anthem, with clubland classic and Ultraviolence fave Everytime We Touch a place above. At #18 Kiesza does even better than last year with her debut Hideaway which I did not expect

The final section before the top 10 contains some proper classic tunes, like Insomnia which recently got remixed by Avicii but even I will admit that the original is a lot better. In previous years it had finished top 10 but falls out this year, as does Born Slippy .NUXX which falls to #13, still cementing its BuzzClassic status but making way for different tunes to join the top 10. David Guetta also makes 2 appearances, with Totanium also falling out of last year's top 10 whilst When Love Takes Over climbs to #14. All whilst Dario G's UK #2 Sunchyme climbs from last year to #12. Another 90s tune to drop out but don't worry we have 3 more to go in the top 10.

For the last 2 years Alice Deejay was the runner up of the contest, some would hope that this year would be when it finally climbs to the top but no, instead it drops to the opposite end of the top 10. Quite surprising really. Stereo Love continues the surprises but actually being as high as #9. I guess winning the One Hit Wonder competition I did in the chart forum should've been a hint. It's a really great song that I've grown to love so it's good to see some proper recognition for it at last.

Yes I realise this is being dragged out too long but I am on holiday right now. Anyway Snap get another great showing with 90s classic jam, possibly helped by being sampled on a big Jeremih hit reminding people of the better original. At #7 is a song that is already being considered an all time great despite its recentness, but Rather Be has failed to tire on us clearly as we're still loving it a lot. It's one of my personal faves too so I'm all for this doing very well in the contest year after year.

Two more very recent songs being considered amongst the all time greats appear, with Avicii slaying in the top 5 to my amazement (future winner possibly? I'd be so happy..) with Wake Me Up, which really changed the face of commercial dance music and still has a lasting iconic impact to this day. One of my favourite songs ever obviously and really stands out even in Avicii's own discography. Just missing the top 5 is SHM whose most popular song climbs a lot too, time has been very good to it clearly. Not surprising really as it is such an anthem and recently passed a million in chart sales (I think). It still remains difficult to decide whether I prefer this or Greyhound, probably Greyhound but this is a serious 10/10 banger.

4. 265 Robert Miles - Children

Two major classics here both of which peak this year but have previously been top 10, at #4 is Children which does well every year because it doesn't ever fail to sound really beautiful and amazing. The song of course was a massive UK hit single too which helps it but the song is nearly 20 years old now so it's done really well to stay this loved in 2015. A place above is the more recent yet still old (15 years) Sandstorm. I was really hoping this would finally be the year for it as it was #1 when I added up scores until I added them for the top 2. #3 is still great though and like Children this is another of my all time faves.

The top 2 consist of last year's winner We Found Love (Rihanna/Calvin Harris) and a climber for Heaven (DJ Sammy/Yanou/Do). Predictions?

Rihanna and Calvin Harris don't win for a second year in a row then as the trophy is passed onto DJ Sammy etc. with the chart-topping Bryan Adams 'Heaven' cover. It's a winner I don't agree with at all really but I do like the song, not just the dance version but the beautiful piano ballad remix also. The song has always done well here but it finally climbs to #1 this year, at least I can say the win is deserved as the song is very loved here and it's not even half because of its recentness as the song is well over 10 years old now. We Found Love remains a bit stable at #2 this year anyhow after debuting at the top last year, the song is still a proper banger and definitely one of the most remembered hits of the decade so far, so it doesn't surprise me that this seems to be doing well every year now.

'sandstorm' and 'children' are immense trance anthems

i guess it was inevitable that 'heaven' was going to win at some point, preferable to 'we found love' again, but far from the best dance track of all-time i fear
