Belgium 2021
The Wrong Place
Hooverphonic

Hooverphonic have today announced a line-up change ahead of Eurovision 2021! Geike Arnaert, who was part of the group from 1997 to 2008, is returning and replacing Luka Cruysberghs who was the vocalist on 2020 entry "Release Me".

(Personally if I was the Belgian broadcaster, after how boring "Release Me" was, I'd ditch all of them)

Hmm...an unfair decision on Luka, she's had a few great songs with them, although Release Me was only ok. Mad About You is lovely, but I doubt anyone will be going too wild for her return, it was a minor hit 20 years ago and they've gone through numerous vocalists since.

I'd get rid of them in general for being the only entry to not bother singing on Love Shine A Light

So lead singer #4 is replacing lead singer #6 then! A shame really as I liked Luka's voice especially when it got me a Top 10 in BJSC

It's out, I think it's way better than last year, quite a refined alt midtempo.

Belgium and Romania both going for Lana Del Rey songs.

It is better than last year. It may well grow on me.

I really wanted to hate this after what they did to Luka, but all I'm hating is how much I'm rather enjoying it! A massive improvement on last year, it actually leaves me wanting more as the ending feels quite abrupt.

For me this is far better and I would imagine more competitive than Release Me, and I can see this growing on me more too, it's more similar in sound to the Hooverphonic material that I've loved in the past.

It sounds less Lana to me and more like something that might have been on James Blunt's Back To Bedlam perhaps, not melodically but sonically it's not far off something like Wisemen.

Loads better than last years entry. Interesting how this will play out in May.

A very pleasant entry, far better than last year's dirge. Will definitely stand out in a very pop heavy second half of the first semi final.

I actually really like this, wasn't expecting anything at all after how boring Release Me was but this is much more memorable and impactful for me.

This is really dull but maybe it might come alive on stage.
