Chart Analysis
MIKA earns his first chart-topper with Bella D'Estate. It's the 2nd #1 to feature Italian lyrics after La vita nuova, but the first to be entirely in that language. Carly Rae Jepsen holds strong at #2, and is joined in the top 5 by climbers Heather, Rapture, and Peach. Rapture manages the 2nd-largest upward movement ever in my chart, thanks to the release of Declan's new album Zeros, which charts today in its entirety. At #10, Kiesza scores a first top 10, and a number of acts score their first top 40 such as Steps, Foxes, and New Order. Next week should be a battle between the reigning #1 from MIKA, a rising top 5 from Declan McKenna, or the new entry from Carly Rae Jepsen which has landed at #18 already following 2 days of streams.
