This week:
  • *IDLES get three tracks in from their new album Ultra Mono
  • *Clipping tops the playlist with some fantastic horror inspired hip hop
  • *Hallan showcase a cynical view of today's England in their new punk rock song
  • *Sylvan Esso return with a blocky pop tune. Reminds me of Georgia a fair bit.
  • *Bring Me The Horizon and YUNGBLUD team up for a dystopian burst of rage. There's some synths thrown it that are reminiscent of the ones The Prodigy have used.
  • *Nas brings unity to the world with a nice piano sample and lyrics celebrating black culture
  • *Osees are back with a psychedelic style of garage rock
  • *Greentea Peng brings the jazz lounge to our speakers
  • *Pan Amsterdam makes word sandwiches upon word sandwiches with a lot of charm over a chill beat.
  • *Machinedrum crafts a beat with some drum and bass elements thrown in. A brass sample keeps coming in and Freddie Gibbs comes through with great flows.
  • *Robert Smith of The Cure comes back to collaborate with Gorillaz on their new song Strange Timez,in which they look at hectic state of the world today. The menacing pianos were a fantastic addition.
  • *Swarmz' new song is an afrobashment earworm. Even with the questionable Sabrina line in Konan's verse, the bragging fits the upbeat tone of the song, along with a good sample of Soul II Soul's Back To Life.
  • *There's more chilled stuff, and it comes from the pleasant sounds of Nubiyan Twist
  • *Temples add some disco elements to their style of psychedelic rock.
  • *David Guetta and Calvin Harris move away from EDM and opt for a more 80's influenced style. The latter has already done so with his Funk Wav Bounces album, and Guetta previously dived into that style on Flames (which also had Sia in it).
  • *Marshmello and Demi give advice to those struggling with depression on OK Not To Be OK. The song comes to an abrupt stop, but it was a very good look into mental heath.
  • *Koffee shifts from afrobashment to a more traditional reggae sound on Pressure.
  • *Rudimental produces a UK garage throwback
  • *beabadoobee's Care sounds like a late 90's indie rock hit.
