As Linkin Park have 3 simultaneous Top 10 Albums, it is the 18th time that an Act has had at

least 3. However, it has been achieved by 15 different Acts. This is because 3 of them did it

in more than one Year - Elvis Presley, (1957 & 1977), David Bowie, (1973 & 2016), and Prince,

(1993 & 2016).

Until Linkin Park, the last 'American' Group to manage it, were The Monkees, in August 1967

- 50 Years ago. As Davy Jones was British, the last wholly American Group, to achieve it, were

the Beach Boys, in August 1966 - 51 Years ago.

GROUPS WITH 3 - OR MORE - SIMULTANEOUS TOP 10 UK ALBUMS

(It is arguable if The George Mitchell Minstrels are a Group, or an Ensemble)

1)...THE GEORGE MITCHELL MINSTRELS - THREE WEEKS - CONSECUTIVE

W/E 22nd December 1962 - W/E 5th January 1963

No.3/No.1/No.1 - THE BLACK & WHITE MINSTREL SHOW

No.6/No.2/No.4 - ON STAGE WITH THE GEORGE MITCHELL MINSTRELS

No.9/No.5/No.8 - ANOTHER BLACK & WHITE MINSTREL SHOW

2)...THE BEACH BOYS - TWO WEEKS - CONSECUTIVE

W/E 30th July - W/E 6th August 1966

No.2/No.2 - PET SOUNDS

No.4/No.5 - SUMMER DAYS (AND SUMMER NIGHTS)

No.10/No.7 - BEACH BOYS TODAY

3)...THE MONKEES - TWO WEEKS - NON CONSECUTIVE

W/E 15th July 1967

No.2 - HEADQUARTERS

No.4 - MORE OF THE MONKEES

No.6 - THE MONKEES

W/E 5th August 1967

No.2 - HEADQUARTERS

No.8 - MORE OF THE MONKEES

No.9 - THE MONKEES

No.6 - ABBEY ROAD

No.10 - RUBBER SOUL

THE BIGGEST FALL FROM No.1 IN UK CHART HISTORY

In the W/E 27th July Album Chart 'Night And Day' by The Vamps went in at No.1. It sold less

than 30,000 copies to do so. But, it was really only No.1 due to it being available in 4 different

covers. Each member of the Group was given their own cover. This meant that it only needed

around 7,500 of their fanatical Fans, to buy all 4 covers & they ended up with a No.1 Album.

Its plunge, from No.1 to No.35, this Week, shows their true current popularity.

It beats the previous biggest falls from No.1 in both the Singles Chart & the Album Chart.

W/E 3rd August 2017 - Night And Day - The Vamps - 1 to 35

THE PREVIOUS BIGGEST No.1 ALBUM FALL:

1 to 29 - Bionic - Christina Aguilera - (W/E 26th June 2010)

THE PREVIOUS BIGGEST No.1 SINGLE FALL:

1 to 29 - A Bridge Over You - Lewisham & Greenwich NHS Choir - (W/E 21st December 2015)
