#02 Lana Del Rey vs. Cedric Gervais - Summertime Sadness

The #2 from last year's biggest sellers list is Lana Del Rey who got a big hit from being danced up by Cedric Gervais. It's a great summery song and the dance production suits it well.

#01 Bastille - Pompeii

Which means Pompeii is officially the least hated song from last year's biggest sellers. It was not their first hit single but it certainly felt like their big breakthrough, with it smashing at #2, selling over a million units (including streaming) and being likely to become a future classic. Congrats Bastille cheer.gif Great choice of winner here, always nice to see a male act win one of these things and with an amazing song too.

I certainly wouldn't have expected that to be so unhated before the rounds started narrowing down. Worthy winner but I'm still really sick of it.

Looking forward to this for 2014 if done happy.gif

I'm satisfied with that winner, was worried at the start it would be an awful track but everything in the top 6 is decent, Pompeii would probably have been in my top 10.

But I Could Be The One should be so much higher...

Who won these contests in previous years?

Probably the worst results I have seen on BuzzJack. Pompeii is good and was in my Top 50 of last year though, so a worthy winner at least I guess.

Out of the two I'd have rathered SS to win but Pompeii is excellent so a great winner indeed. As we went into the top 10 I was worried something awful like Mirrors or Love Me Again would win so I'm glad we got a good outcome. Thanks for hosting Dan!

The late Frankie Howard will be happy with that win for "Pompeii".

I love Pompeii, probably moreso than the SS remix. The original is Lana's best song, the remix is great but falls way flat of the glorious original!

I personally think the original of 'Summertime Sadness' is the dullest track on what is a pretty good album, it's still a fairly nothingy song too with the remix but something about it just works in that form.
