We have an exciting night ahead of us! In case anyone's new to this, I'll be revealing everyone's votes in the order I received them. I will also reveal which song each person submitted as I'm posting their votes! So don't give anything away just yet, but part of the fun is to guess people's songs before they're revealed, so please do that! I have 30 votes, so if we have a good pace we can have a winner in about three hours. It's a VERY tight race!

I'll start this in the next 20 minutes or so, starting with my own votes and revealing which entry was mine

Won't be able to follow proceedings live unfortunately, which is a shame as I thought the quality and variety here was really strong compared to previous editions. Certainly a lot of discoveries I'll be taking away from this contest. <3

I've a feeling my top-pointer will be pretty unpopular - got a real wooden spoon vibe to it. And in contrast, my runner-up feels like a huge contender for the win~

I'd imagine my own entry will be mid-table at best but still intrigued to see if it finds any big fans. I reckon it's the most 'quintessentially me' (for want of a less douche-y expression) songs I've sent to one of these things in ages. Reminiscent of quite a few of my BJSC entries anyway so wouldn't be surprised if anyone's guessed I'm behind it~

Hyped to see the results later!

My apologies for not submitting my results; it has been hectic recently at work and this just completely crept up on me.

I hope some people enjoyed my entry, anyway, and I've enjoyed some of the songs I've managed to listen to!

How exciting. I'm still disappointed I couldn't give more points to a particular one of the more out-there entries.

Will we be speculating about who might've sent what as we go along or is that not allowed? Obviously with nobody confirming things until all is revealed....

Ekkah as the early leader, interesting. For indie especially I was thinking when listening that this crop was definitely leaning more in a particular direction...not so many guitar-led tracks.

Looks like my streak of UP hits is about to come to an abrupt end :') but I couldn't really NOT send that when I came across it (and it's infuriatingly infectious and was quite educational to match).

I'd be very happy with Ameno winning, despite being fairly well known anyway, wonderful song. Hopefully Miles Prower and Corporeal pick up a bit as well, a lot of entries sounded like something I'd send this time so I'm interested to see who did send them.

Very, very, well done to whoever thought attempting to seize the memes of production by entering this to UP was a good idea. Like with Ameno, it's had a bit of exposure (although lots less) but not here and I'd heard this ages ago but forgotten it, now with this I was able to get swept up in the frantic angry melody of history once again. Great reintroduction and it definitely fits the bill of UP needing weird tracks.

20 HMLTD "To The Door"
My top score I always want to give to a true discovery unless what I sort of know/already know far outstrips everything else, and I was vaguely aware of the other two in my top 3, although this contest has made them a permanent part of my playlists, but fortunately HMLTD is a HUGE banger that I'm very pleased to have discovered and I have no reservations about giving the full 20 to this. Twilight Force have had one of the best power metal albums I've heard for many months, I'm really stanning them right now so I had to send them somewhere.

Ooh the top 3 were all tracks I voted for in the end! I did prefer Yaeji and Tyzo Bloom but Forever was great too, Congrats to Pete, did always sound like a likely winner (and now Soldout have won both BJSC (well, a spin off) and UP!)

Well done Pete. Not my favourite song but you can't say songs I liked weren't there, I loved Yaeji and Alison Valentine and Ukiyo was pretty good.

And what with that incredible closeness and all the changing of leaders it was very exciting to follow, thanks for hosting Jordan.

I mean, I could/should have done better (everyone accept power metal as your lord and saviour kthxbye) but I'll take a 20 from Frank and a few other good comments about Powerwind, that was cool.

In terms of my performance! I am thrilled to come 10th and I am not sure but this may be my best performance in UP not sure. If I am right ZuZu was Nuggets.

Congrats Pete! I didn't like 'Forever' as much as the 2 Jadakissnia SOLDOUT entries but it was pretty good still, not far from my votes and struck me as one that would be a grower so perhaps could have snuck into my votes if I'd done more than one listen (really must try and do this in future contests). My preferred winner out of the top end would have been 'Ukiyo' which was a wonderful discovery reminded me a lot of Jai Wolf ~ so happy to see that top 3 as well and 'Ameno' in the top 10. A bunch of great songs lining up just outside the top 10 there too.

A bit disappointing to finish that low with 'Corporeal' as I thought it had a chance of doing quite well and it did get off to a good start - ah well! Back to the drawing board. (And maybe a good thing I didn't save it to send to BJSC after all)

Cheers for hosting Jordan! Wish I could have given it a bit more undivided attention with all the closeness at the top but still enjoyed following this. x

Pleased to finish in the top 10, was hoping Closer would do fairly well as thought it should appeal to a decent amount of people - fairly obvious choice for me to send as I went through songs I've loved over the last few months and probably the best most unknown song I could send.

Good results overall, don't mind the winner and the rest of the top 4 were amongst my favourites.
