It's a great track, I prefer this to 'Not On Drugs'.

Nah, it got cancelled.

I can imagine them just farting out this album in the UK next March with a low key release and no single, and it ending up going nowhere. Shame.

This is a tune but I agree it's not necessarily a single. I'd have probably said Timebomb was the best option too but then Not On Drugs would have been great too so I don't know why they cancelled it :/ To be fair though I'm unsure whether they'll actually push her whatever the single is unfortunately It's such a shame the remix of Habits will very likely be her only hit, I love it but the original is leagues ahead.

I have to be honest, as much as I am seriously obsessed with this album right now and as much as it's an album full of wonderful songs, I just can't picture any of them as hit singles.

I'd say that 'Talking Body', 'Timebomb' and 'Thousand Miles' are probably the best choices out of them all but even so.

Listening to the album but I can only see "Like Em Young" is the only possible hit along with Thousand Miles. The album is full of similar mid-tempo pop.

I like the outdoor rave scenes but the video feels so disengaged from the song itself.

Timebomb is the hit, I don't know why they continue to sit on it.

Decent video, scrumptious man and not quite the hot mess i thought it'd be going on some of the teasers we got. I have grown to really like the song too, though i do agree 'Timebomb' is the big hit* in waiting.

*i doubt she has any more charts hits to come from this album unfortunately, but if they had to promote one song it really should be that.

I'm absolutely rinsing this again in light of the video!

Love Ballad is great, it was the first song I ever heard from her! It was her Soundcloud aagggees ago, before Habits was even heard of. Evil Spawn is great from those days too.

As for this, the video has made it come alive for me. It's not the most exciting video but it fits, this was one of the best choices for me and is catchy - just a bloody great pop song. Can't see her getting another huge hit sadly but I think it might do ok in the US if not the UK. I still think Stay High might have sold because people thought it was a "faceless" dance song sadly.

It's likely to effect the amount of pre-orders because the EP costs £1.99 which is more than it would be for a single release pre-order. However, pre-orders don't get added to the feed at midnight anymore so it will climb ul the iTunes feed like any other song will, it'll just have the disadvantage of less pre-orders at the start of the week.

It's weird for me how that did nothing, because for me it's still far superior. I'm still on board with Talking Body becoming a hit because it's better than most stuff out there but I did go through a period of listening to it a lot and I definitely prefer plenty of other Tove Lo songs to this one. I guess it's catchy though and I still have time to get on board with it in a hit concept (because I would never have thought it could until a couple of weeks ago).

I was initially in the frame of mind "if 'Not on Drugs' couldn't do anything, 'Talking Body' wouldn't either". But all the hype surrounding song recently has now made me prefer it over 'Not on Drugs'

However, I've noticed that http://http://headlineplanet.com/home/2014/12/08/talking-body-now-slated-tove-los-next-pop-single/, her label "replaced 'Not on Drugs'" with 'Talking Body' as the 2nd single

I think her Alesso feature helped her out quite significantly and put her in a better position than she would have been after a general "out of nowhere" smash like 'Habits'. For me, 'Talking Body' is one of the more pop radio accessible and low key tracks in comparison to the rest of the album which is rather dark and hard-hitting by contemporary pop standards

I am fully on board with this now, I've had it on repeat the past few day. I feel like the slight change in lyrics on be clean version sucks quite a bit of life from the song.

I do agree with Timmy to a degree and still worry NOD would have smashed a bit more and may have been a wiser choice but I am loving this so much at the moment.

I can't see on any level how 'Not On Drugs' has more hit potential than this, it's nowhere near as catchy/hooky and is pretty clunky, the chorus is pretty much a non-event.

Whaaaaaaaat?! I love the entire song but the chorus is outstanding - one of the most impactful of recent months for me! And although I slightly prefer 'Not On Drugs', I find it interesting to see people differentiate so much between it and 'Talking Body' as to me they have quite similar appeal and both have considerable hit potential (though I'd agree 'Talking Body' has more obvious and catchy hooks).

I agree with Noah that the chorus of 'Not On Drugs' is massive, great to dance to. But I like both songs almost equally now. Ideally 'Taking Body' becomes a hit and then 'Not On Drugs' is properly released afterwards and is also a hit.

I feel like Not On Drugs was much more instant but wore off rather quickly while Talking Body was a grower and continues growing!

I don't see them pushing Not On Drugs at all since it was cancelled. I'm hoping we get My Gun, Moments or Thousand Miles

The Talking Body UK pre-order isn't looking too promising though, I'm guessing it'll be pushed back?

That first sentence is exactly how i feel. 'Not On Drugs' was instantly huge for me, whereas this took its time to grow on me and has since peaked higher than anything she has ever done perhaps. It's STILL growing too i think lol.

And i wouldn't worry too much about the pre-order - it's hard to judge how it is doing because of the EP/album chart thing, and i doubt anyone wants a censored version of it so i am not surprised that isn't doing brilliantly.

Basically, they've only made the clean version available as a pre-order, it's out on Sunday and they released the remixes a week and a half early. It probably won't be on Spotify until Sunday either.

They've messed this release up so bad.

So there is no sign of a release of the normal version yet? They should at least surprise release that on Sunday too. The fact only the remixes are on Spotify though, incredibly frustrating

I guess we can only hope this becomes some sort of rare sleeper hit

With the explicit version not being able to preorder it's impossible to see how it will do when it gets released. I can only hope the silly release strategy isn't what prevents it potentially getting top 10 on iTunes and/or officially. I haven't supported a song to do well this much in AGES. Come on UK let's make it into a hit

I'd love this to go top 20... But I'm not sure. The 'normal' version is on the other EP that is up for pre-order too. The fact the remix is doing decently tells me that there is in fact some interest for the song, as I guess it's having true same effect as a 'fake version' charting.

SO stupid to bother to put the remixes up on spotify and not the original...I mean, what is the logic in that?

Only Live Lounge confirmed for Thursday which isn't much but it's at least something. I think the remix being so high does accurately show the demand for the song, but what's going to hurt its first week position the most by far is streaming. If the original had been on Spotify weeks ago, it would have built up to a decent streaming peak by now. It's not going to just miraculously go top 10 on Spotify next week, labels in general are plain oblivious to the importance of streaming

I don't think there's anything to worry about with this, the KREAM remix doing well indicates that the demand IS there, to me! Top 10 seems a certainty to me, I'm pretty sure people are just holding out for the explicit version and don't want to preorder the whole EP (of course I'm more than prepared to eat my words, if it flops ).

My opinion is that it's going to do well but it'll be a seemingly slow burner on iTunes, because there is going to be so many versions confusingly charting - the Clean remix, the explicit original cherry picked from the EP, and the Kream remix still all charting until one eventually pulls ahead - I assume the explicit off the EP, while the rest fall away.

Radio 1 have just replayed her full Live Lounge and I can't say I'm a big fan. I like the production but her voice isn't particularly strong so it just grated on me. I'm not a huge fan of hers anyway, she's yet to top or equal "Stay High".

I've been really disappointed in her live performances since her vocal cord surgery. It's really hit and miss and more so miss these days. There's been few standouts, but the rest are weak and filled with bum notes. She was so good before and now... I don't know what happened. Maybe she came back too early.

American radio is a complete mess, but it feels really good to keep seeing these positive updates and her climbing on the different formats. If only she had the video views to help propel it. It would've made things so much easier.

I do hope radio will be far more supportive from the get-go with her 3rd single, whatever it may be. I'm kinda hoping she'll change her mind still. I listened to "Timebomb" in the car the other day and I just couldn't blast it. I do like the song and it's definitely different from anything on the radio, but I think "Got Love" or "Not on Drugs" might be more "summer feel-good, listen with the windows down on a car trip" kind of songs. On the other hand, she's made good choices so far, so maybe I just need to trust her judgement on this. If she does go with "Timebomb" I hope the video they shot is better and more accessible.

I was also a bit on the fence about Timebomb as a single, and completely get what you're saying about you can't blast it in a car - the explosive chorus does come off as a bit too explosive for radio

There's a lot of rumours about it being the next single but I can't recall any reliable confirmation yet? Her label did say they were considering Got Love, but I think the fact Timebomb and Thousand Miles have been in the mid section of the iTunes top 1500 kind of shows that either of the two would work well as singles

With the lyrics and imagery of Habits and Talking Body, you'd initially expect Tove not to be the most accessible of artists but both becoming hits kind of turns staples on its head. Both have been successful at crossing over even to AC and rhythmic audiences and I'd like to think that the subjects they touch on and somewhat explicitally portray are what has drawn the GP in to Tove as an artist, and what they want/expect from her

Like you said, I'm also hoping that Talking Body cements/has cemented her as an artist radio/the GP will support in future. Also hoping we get a high-budget music video for the next single. She was shooting something in LA in March which looks rather promising

I wonder if 'Not On Drugs' could be pushed as a single again in the UK? I'm sure' Talking Body' will go top 15 in the UK this week which should be enough for radio backing. I think 'Talking Body' could peak next week rather than this week though as I doubt she will free fall down the charts.

I agree with Lee that this could possibly peak next week. Unless Radio 1 take it off the playlist having not made the top 10 in the midweeks (which they have been known to do). It will take a few days for iTunes to overcome the cockup with the pre-orders.

'Not on Drugs' being pushed as a single ala 'Radar' 2.0 would most definitely not work, people are just not here for that song, they're here for 'Timebomb' and 'Thousand Miles'. Yeah, but the Pretty Girls video isn't coming until Monday and it's looking like the song will fall out of the top 10 before then. It'll probably re-enter once the video is released plus we'll have The Voice songs + new releases that will almost definitely knock Talking Body down, but it would be nice for it to hit the top 10 for the weekend at least. Either way I'm sure Talking Body will end up in the top 10 eventually.

I cannot believe people are still buying "Uptown Funk." Why is that still happening? She really needs a big push. One flawless live performance here in the states on The Voice. She could possibly do the Billboard Awards, but that would be some major maneuvering and probably a really bad idea.

I'm dying here because there's soooo much potential there with her. Also, a lot of her problems could be minimized with a better team, one that can streamline things and promote her better. It all seems like a mishmash of things going on. She's here, she's there, but it doesn't seem to be well thought out and planned properly. Also, she needs to be better at promoting herself. She'll do a radio interview or something and you don't even know about it if it weren't for the radio station/DJ or whomever tweeting about it. I don't know what I'm trying to say, I just have feelings right now.

I believe that is without streaming. Still, it's holding up very well and I did suspect that it could have some staying power because of the multiple versions all trying to catch up with each other. #17 is too low a peak, but decent sales can hopefully make up for it now.

These last 2 day updates on pop radio have been fantastic. Sugar is falling right above her, but Hey Mama and You Know You Like It are hot on her heels. She needs bigger spin and audience increases. Come on radio, please don't f this up.

Regardless of what happens, I'm really proud of her. She's done it all on her own. She did it the hard way and I have nothing but complete and total respect for her.

Eh, if Fifth Harmony, whoever they are, can perform at the BBMA then Tove should have been able to as well. The problem lies with the fact that Hangout Fest got to her 1st. She committed to do that back in Feb. They kind of got to her in a moment of weakness when she was climbing the walls and stuck in Sthlm after her surgery. (Those sneaky people enticed her with a picture of a beach. ) And she seems like the kind of person who is true to her word and when she says something she sticks to it, which is very admirable.

She's performing at 1430-1530 Central time on Sunday and the BBMA start at 1700 Pacific time. I looked it up, she couldn't make it back to Las Vegas even if she tried. I originally thought that maybe she could make it and just show up really late, but it's impossible. It just wasn't meant to be.

So apparently radio is all messed up again. There were station changes and almost all the songs got negative audience scores across different formats. The plus side is her spins on pop are good and if she can keep them like this or better and the song above it keeps the same spin loss as reported today, she could enter the top 10 tomorrow. *fingers crossed* It's going to happen any day now.

YES top 10 on POP. Perched to become the first Swedish act since Robyn to have 2 Hot 100 top 10 smashes

Fallen 17-21 in the UK this week though I imagine it's around top 15 on sales. It's done decently considering they waited almost a year to follow-up 'Stay High'

35 on streaming is a lot better than I expected ! Should secure another safe week top 40 at very least. Hopefully 'talking body' is a song Radio 1 continue to play despite a playlist drop and not never play it again.

And what a great performance too, she sounds so much better with less backing vocals on the chorus. Really promising for the upcoming Ellen performance, and so glad she's coming into her own again. The surgery must have been such an obstacle for her and has really shown in the nerves of some of her recent performances - Letterman in particular

Eek slipped to around #37 with the two highest versions combined on UK iTunes, but made up some ground on Spotify at #38. Hopefully not too much of a drop come Sunday

Very solid performance. She looked STUNNING, really cleaned up well given the audience of the show and her stage presence is just phenomenal

Currently #20 on US iTunes, will be interesting to see if she can get a nice boost from the performance!

Its airplay is at the highest it's ever been (currently #7 on pop). The only reason its #20 on iTunes is because of The Voice and BBMAs effect on some tracks which will later die down. A new peak of #13 on Billboard this week. "never really smashed"? Erm, it is smashing

Run On Love would be a TRAGIC choice. It's ancient, already been released, already on Lucas Nord's album, has never dented iTunes once even during the album's cherrypickings

Like wired said in the posts Liam deleted, it will need clearance with Lucas Nord and a large chunk of the sales profits it could make as a single would probably then have to go to him as it is technically his song. I can't see Tove's label going along with something like that or even considering a song so old as Run On Love as a single in such a crucial part of the album's campaign, an EDM song isn't exactly what's going to sell the album either

Timebomb, Moments, Thousand Miles are much better and more popular anyway

I didn't really enjoy the Ellen performance. She sounded really strained on the chorus and as for the verses... she did pretty much nail the middle 8 section though.

I've noticed her performances in general are on the strained side and with blip notes aplenty. I find it part of her charm actually

I've read that her vocal recordings are mostly done in their first three demo takes to best convey her emotions, which I feel kind of translates well in her imperfect live renditions. Her passion and energy is so impressive, you can literally feel how important each lyric is to her when she sings it
