Macklemore and friends hold onto #1, with what is quickly proving to be one of my favourite songs of the year! Editors are hot on their heels at #2 though, I'm really resulting with 'Life Is a Fear'. The beautiful new single from Years & Years reenters following its video release, it has quite a while until it dethrones 'King' as my favourite single by them.

At the bottom on the Top 10, we have a trio of fresh tracks to the top tier. Slaves - with the brilliant 'Sockets', a great cover by Ella Eyre and the surprisingly decent new Shane Filan single (in no way helped by Nuhdeen ovc).

The Weeknd and Eliza and the Bear enter with their latest singles. 'The Hills' is pretty catchy, I'm looking forward to its extended run in the Top 40. 'Lion's Heart' is a great track, it'll never be a hit though.

With an influx of high entrant, a few songs that I initially thought would climb further have stalled. 'Paris', 'Wake Up Call' and 'Alone No More' certainly haven't seen the end of their chart lives! A new Scouting for Girls single enters at #18, their days of scoring chart hits are not long gone but I like this new one!
