Welcome to Only Connect! In a few other quizzes you've been asked to find connections for bonus points - this time, it's the only thing you have to do.
I'll start off by explaining the rules for each different round:
Round 1 - Connections
In this round, you are given 4 clues. They are all connected in some way - all you have to do is tell me the connection. One of the questions in this round is a music question - you'll hear songs and have to identify them, but it works in exactly the same way as the rest: you don't have to tell me what the songs are, just the connection please. Each question in this round is worth 2 points.
Round 2 - Sequences
In this round, you're only given 3 clues. They're all part of a sequence (that means that as well as being connected, they're in a specific order). You have to tell me the connection and the missing 4th clue. Each question in this round is worth 2 points (one for the connection, one for an appropriate 4th clue).
Round 3 - Connecting Wall
This is probably the most difficult part of the quiz. 16 clues are placed together in a grid, and you have to find 4 groups, each containing 4 clues. You have to tell me the 4 groups, as well as the clues which are contained within each group. Careful, there are red herrings that fit into multiple categories! This round is worth 8 points (1 point for naming the correct connection, 1 point for the correct set of clues).
Round 4 - Missing Vowels
In this round, the connections are given to you! You'll also be given clues which fit into these connections, but with the vowels removed. You just have to tell me what the clues are. Each clue is worth a point, so this round is worth 16 points.
Hopefully that clears everything up - but let me know if it doesn't. I've tried to make this quite difficult, so I'd definitely encourage the use of Google, etc.
Onto the questions! Sorry these images are probably massive I have no idea what the right size is ~

I love Only Connect but I'm terrible at it, it's way too highbrow for me I'm gonna give this a good go though!
I think I'll have to enter this one
My favourite quiz show
OK this isn't quite as difficult as the real Only Connect I think there's definitely a few that I just won't get though!
I was thinking the other week about how we coud do with another round of Only Connect so really looking forward to giving this a go!
Submitted answers for Section 4 - will see what I can do on the other sections during the course of the week but not expecting much!!
Great to have some entries already! I've just updated the opening post to include scoring details - you'll see that the missing vowels round is worth double the other rounds so it's worth giving that a go at the very least :)
This is brilliant!! I'll give it a go, but I'm usually useless at Only Connect unless it's the music round and it's as lowbrow as possible...
Oh I love this. I think I've got the wall, though a couple I don't know so have guessed the most likely. A couple of other frustrating me in the first couple of rounds too
This was a really fun quiz - thanks for putting it together. There's two sequences that I just can't get, I'm going to be frustrated when I see the results as I feel like one of them is quite obvious.
I've done much better at this than I thought I would - I've got answers for almost everything, although whether they're completely right or not is another question! There's one sequence which I just can't figure out so I'm gonna give it another day and then submit my answers.
The wall in particular is very clever - it’s tough to create one with red herrings that do fit other themes. There’s also at least one other group of 3 in there as a red herring but I’m not sure if it was intended or not... or indeed perhaps whether that was actually a real group but I didn’t know the fourth answer!
Entered! Not completely sure about a couple of the sequences but mostly happy with my answers.
Entered! Pretty pleased with how I did in the end (although we'll see how many I actually got right...)
Just a reminder that you have until midnight tonight to enter this! We're up to 18 now so just entering will get you a few leaderboard points :)
Entered.
Think I've done ok. Didn't get a couple of the sequences.
This was good. Lots of fun.

that last Swedish artist is KILLING ME
and so are the whole of round 1 and 2
Feeble attempt but entered too
Answers sent! Happy enough with that performance
sent. V intrigued about the answers to some of these!
I've sent my guesses over too, also really looking forward to seeing the connections.
An hour left for any last minute entries! I'm going to be quite strict on no more entries after midnight so I can prepare the results tomorrow.
can tell lots of effort went into this Ansel, thanks! my new favourite BuzzJack game as frustrated as it's made me!
Looking forward to the results! I have to say I found this easier than I thought I would so I'm hoping to do well, but then again I've got a feeling others will have done just as well :/ the only one that properly stumped me was Round 2 Q3 - just couldn't see any connection between those songs and I obviously couldn't think far enough outside the box!
Sorry I didn’t enter.
Thanks everyone! Results will come this evening
^never watched the show, so that didn't help me
2-3 took me a while, but I did come up with a connection where I thought one of the clues was a bit tenuous, but still fit quite neatly. Since I've seen the discussion here, I've noticed something very different it may well be!
