in this blog age it's not especially easy to stand out as a pop-lite lady and make your own imprint...but for me, astrid s does it so well. there's something raw and captivating about her and that geometric element in the video, v so good.

initially i cast astrid off as standard lady blog pop but the video really brings her to life as an artist. so nuanced and expressive, that head turn at 2:56 for example. i find her utterly beguiling.

i've not been so taken by a singer of song in ages.
