Hi,

I touted the idea of doing a KLF rate ages ago and the notion just struck me again. This rate is open to any single or album officially recorded and released in some format by Bill Drummond and Jimmy Cauty - whether it's as the Justified Ancients of Mu Mu, The KLF, The Timelords, Space, 2K, K Foundation, the One World Orchestra etc.

Rate from 0 to 10 or leave blank if you don't know it. You are allowed one -1 and one 11. Let me know if I've missed any out!

and they also happen irrespective of that fact happen to be one of THE best musical things to happen ever. how does one rate a selection of songs and albums that are bonafide 10s through and through pretty much?!

well every KLF single is an 11, so it's just a case of picking which one gets it... Justifed And Ancient, probably. I dont know the live versions. Timelords is a 9.


This is not really going to help with the rates is it?

The Mu mus needs research from me I'm afraid - we didnt have the internet in those days so never heard them. Official rates to follow when I get a mo

1987 is one of the greatest albums ever.
On a scale of 1-11 it is a 100.

There was a white label release of the version with Extreme Noise Terror - hmm, maybe I should have included that. Also, forgot the Disco 2000 records. Whoops!

Yeah, it was mail order only and there were only about 2000 of them printed. I was lucky enough to get one!

I wouldn't worry too much about the Disco 2000 stuff as it's questionable on whether Drummond had any input whatsoever and Cauty may only have been producer.

I just gave the Extreme Noise Terror "duet" a listen. It's an interesting point to make but as a listening experience it's not entertaining, for me.
