They really ought to push Geronimo back to the new year, it's just going to get lost.

It would be a good idea to release it Jan 12th and push the album to Jan 19th. It really NEEDS to smash somehow.

I disagree, I think 10 tracks is perfect for an album, as long as they're the best 10 tracks. More times than not, albums with 15/16 tracks generally have at least 5 or 6 fillers anyway.

But on a different point, I'm surprised they've already announced the track listing for an album that's not out for another 5 months!!

Does anyone else think 1st Dec is very late for this - won't hit a million now & will miss at least 2 big sales weeks!

I guess getting the No.1 is more important to them. Perhaps they felt threatened by 1D and Olly?

Posted by: steve201 10th October 2014, 07:26 PM

I'd say they'd beat both esp 1D! I would have thought taking advantage of the 5/6 weeks of the yr when sales are actuly decent would be more important?!

Posted by: The Hit Parade 10th October 2014, 08:12 PM

Family by Thompson (ie Richard Thompson, Teddy Thompson and other excellent but uncharted musicians from that family) is an album on 17th November according to Amazon. The project also has its own website but that quotes the US release date of the 18th.
Anyone mentioning the Thompson Twins will be sent away with a flea in their ear.

I just think TT will appeal to more people. The last 1D album was released on the back of one of their best singles IMO too - Story of my Life!

Alfie Boe's release date has been brought forward a week, probably so it doesn't clash with Katherine Jenkins. It's now 10th Nov
