Time Flies....1994 - 2009 was the second Greatest Hits compilation from Oasis. 'Stop The Clocks' came out in 2006 as the first Greatest Hits album, but only featured 18 tracks which were chosen by Noel Gallagher and came about at the end of their record contract with Sony. Time Flies...1994-2009 got released on the 14th June 2010 containing all 27 singles the band had released between 1994 and 2009 including 'Whatever and 'Lord Don't Slow Me Down' which had never appeared on any previous Oasis studio album. 'Sunday Morning Call' is not listed on the official tracklisting, but appears as a hidden track on the end of Disc 2 making it track 14, so I've decided to allow it in the rate.

9. Cigarettes & Alcohol - 36.00%

Released as the fourth single from the album 'Definitely Maybe' and became their second Top 10 hit single, peaking at Number 7. Recently the track has been certified Platinum, indicating 600,000 sales. Cigarettes & Alcohol" demonstrated the rougher musical attitude that Oasis appeared to be promoting. The song proclaims the inherent appeal of cigarettes, alcohol, and other drugs as a remedy to the banality and seemingly futile nature of the working class life.

The song was the second case in which Oasis was accused of plagiarism, the first being "Shakermaker". The main riff of the song is 'borrowed' from "Get It On" by T. Rex and "Little Queenie" by Chuck Berry, and also bears a similarity to the opening of Humble Pie's cover of "C'mon Everybody", originally by Eddie Cochran.

The chart so far.....

27. Who Feels Love? - 26.83%
26. Lord Don't Slow Me Down - 21.95%
25. Sunday Morning Call - 18.75%
24. Falling Down - 10.94%- 47.06% Tiebreak
23. She Is Love - 21.43%
22. Lyla - 19.05%
21. The Shock Of The Lightning - 25.00%
20. Go Let It Out - 20.00%
19. Let There Be Love - 42.11%
18. I'm Outta Time - 30% - Tiebreak 64.71%
17. D'You Know What I Mean? - 31.82%
16. All Around The World - 38.10%
15. The Hindu Times - 41.67%
14. Shakermaker - 50.00%
13. Songbird - 41.67%
12. Roll With It - 26.09%
