Finally a new number 1 on the sixth chart of the year as Dua Lipa replaces herself with new single Physical! Still really enjoying the new Calvin tracks as well and Blinding Lights by The Weeknd sees a resurgence in the week in which it's looking likely to hit #1 on the Official Charts.

Second week at the top for 'Physical' on chart #7. I'm hoping it can start doing better in the official charts. Also three new entires, 'Lonely' from Joel Corry which has definitely grown on me recently, and then two brand new songs released this week from Anne-Marie and Sean Paul & Tove Lo. There are some interesting releases coming this week that could be in my next top 10 with the new James Bond theme from Billie Eilish, Sam Smith's new single and more tracks from Calvin Harris/Love Regenerater.

No Time to Die is a brilliantly put together piece, I wasn't sure if Billie could rock the Bond look but it works really well!

Sadly not a massive fan of To Die For although it could grow on me, Sam just isn't really my thing most of the time.

Yeah I wasn’t really sure how she was gonna sound but the track has turned out amazing and stayed true to previous James Bond songs which I enjoy.

I can understand that their music isn’t for everyone. I definitely prefer the more upbeat tracks like DWAS and HDYS, so I’m hoping there will be more like them on the album, but I am really enjoying To Die For so far.

4th number 1 of the year this week with Mabel's new single 'Boyfriend'. 'Don't Call Me Up' and 'Mad Love' were two of my favourite songs last year so glad she hasn't waited too long to release new music. Harry Styles song 'Falling' makes a big climb this week marking his second top two on my charts after 'Adore You' at the start of the year. Also Jax Jones continues his streak of making great tracks with new entry 'Tequila' along with RAYE and Martin Solveig which is in at number 6 and 'Lonely' from Joel Corry reaches another new peak on its third week on my chart.

In at #1 this week is Ellie Goulding's new song 'Worry About Me' with blackbear. I wasn't really fussed by this last Friday, but it got very stuck in my head afterwards and I've ended up playing it a lot . Rising six places to #2 is 'Roses', while 'Peace Love Happiness' from Calvin Harris/Love Regenerator's third ep is brand new at #3. Also new this week is the latest single from Rita Ora 'How To Be Lonely' entering at #5. Longest runner 'Don't Start Now' finally exits the top ten after charting for 11 weeks. However wouldn't be surprised to see it return after the album release in a few weeks.

Big shake up on this weeks chart as Little Mix is in at #1 with their new single 'Break Up Song'. I wasn't sure about this song last Friday, but it has grown on me a lot and may even be my favourite lead single of theirs already. Album Impact: Dua Lipa - Future Nostalgia. This week sees 7 tracks chart from Dua after her album dropped last Friday. 'Hallucinate' and 'Pretty Please' are my favourites out of the album tracks and would happily see either of these be the next single and 'Don't Start Now' is back in at #4 . I'm not a huge fan of the last few songs on the album, but the rest of the songs chart at #6, #8, #9 and #10. I'm looking forward to seeing how this era continues for Dua and if the rumours of an updated album with new songs will be true, as the leaked Normani collab sounds amazing so would love for that to be officially released!

Not loads of change on this weeks chart as Little Mix sit at the top for a second week with 'Break Up Song'. As I continue to listen to Dua Lipa's new album, I'm enjoying 'Break My Heart' and 'Cool' a lot more, hence their new peaks of #5 and #8. No new entries this week, only a return of Rita Ora's latest single 'How To Be Lonely' and I don't expect anything entering next week either as nothing of any interesting seems to be being released tomorrow.

Another quiet week in my top 10, which still consists mainly of Dua tracks. 'Break My Heart' is becoming a new fave off the album and 'Love Again' has grown on me a lot. Hmm, I'm now sure why but I'm getting the feeling you might quite like Dua Lipa? Break My Heart is a fab single to promote the album though, really catchy! Playing Hallucinate now, another really good track! Takes me back quite a few years actually.

Dua Lipa gets a third #1 on my chart this year as 'Break My Heart' rises to the top spot overtaking 'Break Up Song'. I already prefer this track to 'Physical', which I lost interest in fairly quickly. Sam Smith's new single 'I'm Ready' with Demi enters in at #3. I'm quite liking it so far, but it's not on the level of 'DWAS' or 'HDYS'. Similarly with Tiesto's new song with Becky Hill which is new at #5, I'm not sure if its as good as 'Ritual' or 'GIAD' at the minute. Finally 'In Your Eyes' by The Weeknd is in at #7. This week marks the first international #1 of the year on my chart as Marshmello & Halsey debut at the top with new single 'Be Kind'. This marks Halsey's fifth entry in 2020 following her album release in January and it is already up there with 'Happier', 'Silence' and 'Here With Me' as my favourite Marshmello songs. 'Savage Remix' is a new entry at #7 this week. The original's chorus has been stuck in my head for weeks, but the remix has really made the song a hit for me. Finally, 'Like It Is' sneaks in at #10. This track would have easily entered my chart earlier if it weren't for Tyga's section.

You certainly are late with Becky, although I guess that's what happens when your chart is just a Top 10, if a song's just been missing out for weeks when it enters it will still be a new entry!

I am enjoying Like It Is though (considerably more than I was expecting to), it's in my Top 10 as well this week.

I've been listening to the radio a bit more recently and so hadn't really heard the new becky song till now, hence it only just appearing. Also I don't get how people make a top 40. Do they listen to all the tracks each week? Cause I don't have the time for that

Never mind a Top 40, I have a Top 100 Most of the songs just stay in my head from me listening to them over the weeks, I always feel like I've heard them all so much more than I've actually played them! When I'm compiling my chart I listen to the ones I can't remember although that's usually only around 10/15 songs per week.

Hey Frenchie! It takes quite a lot of time to listen to songs actually as I do it for more than 1000 songs each week! Fortunately, I listen to a small portion most of the time when the sound doesn't fit my taste, otherwise I will need 3 days without sleeping just for listening to all the songs full length.

Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande are new in at #1 this week with 'Rain On Me'. I'm not a super fan of either of these artists but I am really enjoying the more upbeat sound from them both. There are other new entires form Ellie Goulding with 'Power' at #5 and Harry Styles' latest single 'Watermelon Sugar' in at #9. I never thought after Harry's first era that I would ever really like any of his music but his last few singles have been really great. 'Like It Is' also reaches a new peak of #4.

The third chart I've seen with Rain On Me at #1! It is a really fun song and I'm glad it made #1 officially but don't think it'll make my chart sadly.

Might as well give Power a listen since I've not actually heard it yet - not a massive fan myself sorry! It's not her worst but not her best either.

Yeah, I'm really glad that big pop songs can still debut at #1. 'Power' isn't anything groundbreaking but I'm quite enjoying it for now and I'm interested in how her new album is gonna sound off the back of this.

There are no new entries for a second week in a row as Kygo, Zara Larsson & Tyga's song 'Like It Is' becomes the tenth #1 so far on my charts this year. I've done a real 180 in terms of 'Like It Is' as I wasn't a fan when it first came out and it didn't even appear in my top 10 till over a month afterwards. There's not much else going on in my chart this week and I'm really hoping the releases pick up again soon!

Chart #28 09-07-2020
It was a very close battle for #1 this week between two brand new entries, however AJ Tracey and Mabel just beat out Joel Corry for the top spot. All three artists see their second top 10 hits on my chart this year following 'Rain', 'Boyfriend' which reached #1 in February (although I kinda hate it now, oops ) and 'Lonely'. There is another new entry at #6 from Ellie Goulding with her latest track 'Slow Grenade' featuring Lauv and Doja Cat's new single rises to #5. Finally, former #1s 'Be Kind' and 'Like It Is' reach 10 weeks on my chart!

Joel Corry and MNEK just miss out again as they hold onto #2, whilst AJ Tracey and Mabel drop to #3. My Oasis is an interesting one, a decent song considering how weird a collab between those two artists sounds Might as well use this as an opportunity to hear UN DIA for the first time - sounding quite nice but not grabbing me completely!

Yeah, I really wasn't sure what to expect from a Sam Smith and Burna Boy collab, but I find their voices work really well together. I quite like the chilled back sound of UN DIA and think it works well as a late summer song, but I can see why it's not everyones cup of tea.

Clean Bandit's new single 'Tick Tock' with Mabel and 24kGoldn enters my top 10 at #1 this week. I know this track is a bit more basic than their previous work but I'm still enjoying it and its grown on me throughout the week. This song also marks Mabel's third #1 on my chart this year, making her joint with Dua Lipa for most songs reaching the top spot in 2020. 24kGoldn has a second entry this week with his single 'Mood' with iann dior. I first listened to this last Friday when I saw he was on the Clean Bandit track and its been stuck in my head all week, and so im not surprised its climbing massively on the official charts!

Clean Bandit & Mabel remain at #1 for a second week with 'Tick Tock', while 'Un Dia' spends a third non-consecutive week at the #2 spot. New entries this week come from Paul Woolford, Diplo & Kareen Lomax with 'Looking for Me' and Calvin Harris & The Weeknd with 'Over Now'. I was really enjoying 'Over Now' at the start of the week but I'm already kinda over it oops. Tick Tock and Looking for mem are the only songs both in my Top 40 and the official one so nice choices of song to have there! Mood is incredibly catchy as well, the quicker it knocks WAP off #1 the better

There is a new #1 this week in 'Ok Not To Be Ok' by Marshmello & Demi Lovato. This marks Marshmello's second #1 this year after previous single 'Be Kind' with Halsey hit the top spot all the way back in May. Sam Smith stays at #1 this week with 'Diamonds' as Clean Bandit & Mabel climb back to #2. There is one new entry this week from a new remix of Zara Larsson's song 'WOW', now featuring Sabrina Carpenter. Unfortunately I don't expect this to do anything commercially and I am slightly worried about how Zara's upcoming album is gonna perform. However, listening to her other recent singles reminded me of what a bop 'Love Me Land' is and so that re-enters at #8. Finally, 'Holiday', 'Love Me Land' and 'UN DIA' are the 8th 9th and 10th songs to reach 10 weeks in my top 10 this year.

Yass Fantastic #1 Wonder is amazing. I'm not really a fan of Shawn Mendes but this is superb.
Levitating is... Meh. For me at least but I can see a lot of people are enjoying it.

I’ve quite enjoyed most of Shawn’s previous stuff, but ‘Wonder’ really clicked with me straight away.
It really is a shame ‘Ok Not To Be Ok’ isn’t seeing any success in the official charts.

I really didn't think I was going to be that excited about 'Levitating' as a single after all this time and the Club Future Nostalgia remix which wasn't my fave, but it just reminded me of what an amazing track it is, hence its climb to #1 this week. It also marks Dua's fourth #1 on my chart this year following 'Don't Start Now', 'Physical' and 'Break My Heart'. The highest new entry this week comes from Little Mix with 'Not A Pop Song' in at #3. This teaser track has made me even more excited about their upcoming album! Just below at #4, Jax Jones' new single 'i miss u' debuts. I'm really liking this track so far and hope it can see some success in the official charts. Finally, 'Lasting Lover' by Sigala and James Arthur enters at #10. Sigala really is one of the most consistent producers around and the majority of tracks he has released I have really enjoyed.

I think my Top 10 is going to be a bit all over the place over the next month or so with all the exciting big releases and albums still yet to come this year!

It was a very close battle for #1 on my chart this week but Ariana Grande's new track 'Positions' just beats out 'Sweet Melody' by Little Mix. I'm loving the production on 'Positions' even though I struggle to understand what she is singing half the time. Little Mix are 5 out of 5 for me so far this era, all the tracks have been really good. Elsewhere in the top 10, 'Diamonds' rises back up to number 5 ahead of Sam's new album and 'Tick Tock' reaches 10 consecutive weeks spent on my chart.

Dua Lipa gets her 7th top 2 hit in my top 10 with new single 'Fever' with Angele. Really enjoying this track and it makes me wanna try and learn some French so I can understand all the lyrics .

Album Impact: Little Mix - Confetti.
Little Mix are dominating my top 10 this week following the release of their 6th studio album. 'Sweet Melody' remains firmly at the top whilst 'Happiness' returns to the top 10, re-peaking at #2. I really hope they go with 'Happiness' as the next single and give it a good remix. 'Breathe' and 'If You Want My Love', which enter in at #3 and #4, are easily my favourites of the new tracks that I hadn't heard before and they've been stuck in my head all week. Finally, the title track debuts at #6 and power anthem 'Gloves Up' is new at #8. Loving this album so far and it's sounding better with every listen!

Sweet Melody with a second week at #1 it's fab!
I also see that LM have taken over your chart. I haven't listened to the album yet but I'm not sure if I will. The extra tracks I have heard have not been to my liking at all and even then their second single was naff lol. Well it wasn't naff, I'm still charting it �� but it's one of their worst singles to date imo.

After the crazy album takeovers over the last 2 weeks, 'Diamonds' makes a jump back to #1, marking the third week at the top for this track. Dua Lipa's latest single 'Levitating' also has a large climb to the #2 spot and reaches 10 non-consecutive weeks spent in my top 10. This is her third song to acheive this feat this year after 'Break My Heart' and 'UN DIA'. I'm still enjoying Little Mix's album 'Confetti' hence 4 of the tracks still being in my top 10 and last but not least 'Tick Tock' re-enters at #3 and 'i miss u' by Jax Jones re-enters at #10.

With the last 5 weeks of the year to come, I'm hoping to see some last minute bops appear before I start spamming Christmas songs.

Levitating is doing well
Sweet Melody I don't knownwhy I ever had an issue with this. It is possibly my favourite thing they've ever released? Maybe?
So I Heard My Head and any Heart yesterday. Of course I love the sample. It's amazing, but I'm not sure if her use of it tbh. I do like the chorus, so hopefully it works it's way into my head.

I was hoping for something a bit more impactful from a collab between these two but it has been slowly growing on me throughout the week. Not much else going on this week which is to be expected at this time of year. Expect a big Christmas take over next week as that'll be mostly what i'll be listening to for the next few weeks

The Christmas invasion has started with 5 new entries in my top 10 this week. But first, Nathan Dawe and Little Mix climb to #1 with their collab 'No Time For Tears'. When I first heard this track I didn't think I'd be coming back to it much but it's massively grown on me over the last two weeks and I hope it can see some success in the official charts in the new year. Back to the Christmas songs and Mabel leads the pack with 'Loneliest Time Of Year' debuting at #3, closely followed by 'One I've Been Missing' from Little Mix in at #4. Both of these tracks were released last year and have already become staples in my Christmas playlist. Up next is the ultimate Christmas song, 'All I Want For Christmas Is You'. It really doesn't feel like Christmas time until I've heard this song! In at #8 is 'Christmas Lights' by Coldplay which I feel is a very underrated Xmas track and finally at #9 is 'Underneath the Tree' which I think is very deservingly become one of the biggest Christmas songs!

I agree with you that 'Christmas Lights' is a grower. It sounds better and better every year . I can see why 'Underneath the Tree' might not be everyones fave. I deffo have to be in the mood for such an upbeat track .

The Christmas carnage continues this week as Mariah jumps to #1 with 'All I Want For Christmas Is You' and Coldplay rises 6 spots to #2 with 'Christmas Lights'. Ellie Goulding enters at #4 with River. It's annoying that this track is an Amazon exclusive as the only way I can listen is on YouTube, however it's on the Christmas playlist that is constantly on at work and I always really enjoy it when it comes on and so hope that it makes it to Apple Music at some point. Finally, 'Last Christmas' enters at #9 and new Christmas classic 'One More Sleep' slips in at #10.

Awk no! All I Want For Christmas Is You taking the #1 I don't remember the last time I had an actual Christmas song at #1. I don't even know if it's ever happened, I don't think it ever has Anyway, regarding this song, I'm not really a fan. I don't hate it or anything but I could live without it.

Underneath The Tree probably the best Modern Christmas song to appear. And it seems to get more popular as the years go by!

There is not loads of change on this weeks Christmas chart, however there is a new number 1 as 'River' from Ellie Goulding jumps 3 places to the top spot. This song is quickly becoming one of my favourite new Christmas songs and I really hope is doesn't stay as an Amazon Exclusive track forever. Coldplays Xmas track 'Christmas Lights' and the Nathan Dawe X Little Mix collab 'No Time For Tears' remain at #2 and #3 respectively, whilst 'Prisoner' rises up to #4.

2020 EOY Chart
- It was a big year for Little Mix on my chart, with 'Break Up Song' being my #1 song of the year and 'Holiday' landing at #4. I really enjoyed both of these singles and how they keep taping into different styles with the 80's sound of 'Break Up Song' and summer vibes of 'Holiday'. I also have to mention the respective Nathan Dawe and Frank Walker remixes which I also really enjoyed. The groups sixth studio album 'Confetti' was my second favourite of the year. Although it doesn't quite match up to LM5 in my opinion, it's still a really great album.
- Dua takes the #1 spot in my fave albums list with 'Future Nostalgia'. This is such an amazing album and what I didn't even know I wanted from Dua. Out of all the great singles released from the record this year, the 'Levitating' remix with DaBaby and 'Break My Heart' are my standouts, hence their appearance at #3 and #7 in my EOY top 10.
- Out of all the singles Sam Smith released this year, 'Diamonds' is easily my favourite and so lands at the runner up spot out of my Year end faves. Sam's third studio album 'Love Goes' was also my 3rd favourite released this year.
- I found that 2020 was a good year for dance music with pop vocalists. Clean Bandit, Marshmello, Tiesto and Kygo all make my top 10 fave 2020 songs with releases this year and I'm hoping to see more tracks like these from these producers in 2021.
- Finally, a special shout out to the flop that is 'Love Me Land' which is #6 on my EOY list. It took me a few weeks to properly click with this song but I really love it now and think it deserved more success. Fingers crossed Zara can get a hit again next year and maybe finally release an album.
