Yeah, Dwight's gonna join Rick's gang. Eugene will easily survive, Sasha's 110% a goner.

Are we sure someone actually dies/leaves this season finale?

The final had its good and bad bits. It was good to finally see the groups band together to take on Negan but obviously it left it with him pretty much unresolved which seemed a bit of a cop out. The trash people double crossing was clever but god they are annoying, lets hope that is the end of them.

I feel like they tried to make Sasha's death heroic but I cant help feeling it was a little over done with her in the coffin bits and it would have been even better had she actually bit Negan and he had a couple of days before turning so the plot moved fast and he basically went on a suicide mission in the first 2 eps of season 8 to end Rick and Alexandria.

They missed the chance to kill off a few more meaningless characters, like Enid and Eric's BF, which would have made the final more dramatic too. The only real death was Sasha's and she chose that for herself. Seeing Aaron holding Eric's dead body or Carl crying over Enid might have given the final a bit more depth.

The tiger annoys me greatly, I mean it is bloody smart knowing which people to attack.

Loved the finale, but Sasha getting killed off was kinda predictable for me, since she has been cast in the new Star Trek series, as a main character.

The double cross from the Trash people I read into that a few weeks ago, as I think they were watching Alexandria in the background, in the first 8 episodes from last year.

And the Tiger, as said above, how did the animal know which people to go for.

Because it's smarter than Rick clearly.

To be honest I found the whole episode to be rather predictable and lacking in excitement. There was that one moment with Negan and Rick where it threatened to do something interesting but that never materialised for obvious reasons.
Right now it feels like we've had 16 episodes this season and about 4 episodes worth of plot, and what we did have felt very much like the prison attack with the Governor.

This season is by far the weakest season to date, for me. sad.gif Just so much meandering and just general fillerness! I commented above it was my "favourite finale" but I forgot about the season 1 episode, which is like one of my favourite episodes of telly ever. laugh.gif

I still very much enjoyed this episode and I had a feeling of excitement and general giddiness that I've not felt in a long time with this show.

I agree this felt very much like a rehash of the Gov storyline, there was a failed big fight and attack with his plot at the end of season 3 with Andrea being the one to die that time but not in the gunfire, pretty much like Sasha.

It felt a cop out final to me, they have built for 15 eps and didn't deliver. There was so many bullets flying around and Rosita was the only one to get shot, which is obvious why they did it as she is pregnant in real life and will now be in bed recovering for the first half of next season.

Another thing that really bugged me - Zombie Sasha appears in the middle of the action right in front of Alexandria where upon a gun fight breaks out, the gates are opened and all kinds of chaos is reigning. Bullets are flying all over the place, people are running everywhere. It is quite probably the noisiest place in Georgia right then... But she wanders off into the woods?

Is she the worlds only deaf and blind zombie? Is she just not hungry or is this really, really stupid?

Or am I the stupid one who missed something?

Not only that but you snap a twig out alone in the woods and the walkers are on you like flies round shit, but a gunfire battle breaks out and Eugene uses a mega phone and not a walker comes a running to the noise.

The walkers seem to be background noise these days!!

Haven't enjoyed this season as much(trust my luck just when I've caught up with the rest of You) I just feel there were too many storylines of the different groups that you didn't know or care how they all coped. I mean the guys who were the turncoats and supported Negan we barely know anything about them so are we surprised when they do what the did or do we care?

Let's hope next series they get back to basics!!

It was an okay finale but predictable. The one thing that slightly threw me was the Scavengers turning but I'd focused all my energy on disliking them that I didn't really think about that possibility. Still, the tiger announcing the cavalry arriving was cool and I spent a lot of the episode relieved that Eugene somehow survived all of that, his position is super precarious.

Walker logic has been bad all season, it's like they've forgotten what show they're in.

At the very least everyone's together now so we probably won't have the situation next time we had at the beginning of this season when all the characters were spread out and we went episodes slowly progressing through about six storylines.

The pacing of season 6 has been way off. There have been some highs, but ultimately too many bottle episodes with lots of filler. I've found the whole season a drag to be honest. I feel like they needed it to maybe set up some more action, but there are way too many groups, factions and characters.

Hopefully season 7 kicks off with a bang, but you just know that the 'ending' will happen after 8 episodes. Not sure how they are going to pad it out, but this season has taken so much criticism that I am hopeful the writers will listen for once.

We should all stop kidding ourselves. The Walking Dead these days is pretty crap if you actually think about it and has gotten progressively worse for some time. It's well made crap but we've just spent so much time invested in it that we can't let go.

Has anybody ever been to the Walker Stalker conventions? I'm tempted to get a ticket for next years but I've read really mixed reviews :/

All caught up now~ A decent if unspectacular finale, great final battle scene and I'm glad Negan was FINALLY stumped, but the zombie Sasha routine I saw coming right from the start so the dragging was a bit annoying. I've honestly never been invested in her at all so any emotional pay off they were hoping for didn't really work for me. Plus, however cool the tiger was, both groups arriving at that exact time? Yeah, deus ex machina overload. The only thing I didn't see coming was The Scavengers turning, but they've really not been developed well and I'm not really invested in what they do next.

It's not been without it's high points, there was definitely too many pointless storylines this season (srsly Oceanside turned out to ultimately be...just a community that Rick could rob for guns? Srsly, they did not need a whole episode), indeed it's that that caused me to fall so behind with it. Let's just hope the war on saviours promised actually takes off next time.

One thing I have enjoyed is Eugene's development, will certainly be interested to see how he progresses in the future. Less so Dwight, I can't work out if we're meant to sympathise with him or not, but honestly I'd be quite happy to see him dead at this point.
