Moving on from that floppy Confident era rather fast.
That artwork
So ready! I thought Confident was a really strong album? Excited to hear what she will come with next and to see how she does chart wise (fully expecting a flop tbh)
If this is half as good as "Cool For The Summer" then I'll be all for it.
The excitement!!!! And exactly a year, to the day, after Cool For The Summer's release!
Excited. Confident was fab as was Cool For The Summer - Demi has never made a bad song come to think of it. Heart Attack >>> tho
Omg this is unexpected
Very excited, Cool For The Summer was a banger and she usually brings it! I was disappointed in Confident as a whole aside from the singles and For You, it just really floundered compared to her others but tbh Unbroken and Demi are in my top 20 albums of all time so it was always going to be har to live up to those. Heart Attack and Cool For The Summer were my highlights of their respective years though so I have high hopes for this lead!
Really excited for this, I adore Demi so I have high hopes
Really hyped!
This should probably be having its premiere within the next 2 hours as the Future Now tour is about to begin and Demi has teased before that new music will be played on the tour. And the best news is the show seems to be streaming for free live on Tidal: http://tidal.com/au/futurenow (no login required... for now anyway!)
Tidal stopped just as she was about to perform Body Say! :')
But it was Periscoped and it is midtempo, "a better Wildfire" with big vocals and that's all I've picked up so far.
Very LQ:
Very different to any of Demi's previous singles, can't really tell much from that video so I'm intrigued to hear the studio version tomorrow!
Studio version is streaming http://www.josepvinaixa.com/blog/demi-lovato-body-say/!
Of course it isn't as instantly amazing as the pop masterpiece that is Cool For The Summer (what is?), but it's very lush, lovely sultry vocals with a few power belts at the end that we all love from Demi and very current production. I'm not sure it's a hit but I think it's a grower and will convert a few Demi haters!
Yes i was just about to post about this leaking...
Pretty decent song... quite the change of pace compared to CFTS/Confident but Sultry is definitely the word for this one
Produced by the same guy behind Selena's 'Good For You' and Nick's 'Jealous', I can definitely hear the similarities in a good way. Both of those tracks were massive growers for me and 'Body Say' was more instant than the pair of them so I'm excited to see how this grows on me in the coming hours and days!
^ I was just about to say it's very similar to 'Good For You'!
I like it, some of the lyrics are a little cringey but then that's always been Demi's thing.
I think I'll listen to it more than I did most of her last album.
Yeah, Good For You a bit beefed up sprung to mind for me aswell. It's not as good as the former and I'm not sure Demi can pull off sexy as well as she thinks she can but it's definitely something I'm gonna keep going back to, just catchy enough to keep you on it.
It just sounds like the not so popular cousin of Good For You, which itself was never that good either to me. Shame.
Bland. Kind of awkward and desperate that they got the same producer as Good For You
Absolutely loving this on first listen
Loving this.
Can't say I love it, but I sadly can't say I hate it either
This is pretty average. Decent enough but doesn't really get me excited.
Okay so this gets better with more listens. Kinda love it now?!
Surprised at the fairly negative posts to it, it's such a good pop song! Demi has now produced 3 really strong lead singles in a row for me now.
I really like this but it's her weakest lead since Get Back. That's just because Here We Go Again, Heart Attack and Cool For The Summer were all completely amazing 11/1 0 though I can see the similarities to Good For You but they're not as similar as people are making out. It's not as subtle and sexy, because Demi's voice is fuller and stronger whereas Selena's is coy and playful. I think this sort of thing suits Selena more but it's good to hear Demi moving on and trying something different. She did always say this album was heading more in an R&B direction but I'm pleasantly surprised with this, I thought she'd go down the more soulful route.
Is this not on UK iTunes?
I haven't seen it, no. It doesn't appear to be out anywhere else either.
Oh yeah I read she is in her Gaga "I dont write for the charts" phase. Stupid as this coulda beeen her first top 10 single outside of camp rock
It's not the lead single guys. Not difficult to understand.
Great song anyway. Especially the verses.
Love it. Preferring this to Cool For The Summer which tired on me rather quickly.
If it's not the lead single I kind of think it should be, very much what is in right now and I could see it being a hit for her!
I'm loving this!
If it ends up on the album it counts as the lead single. 😛
Loving this! It definitely deserves to be a "proper" single.
Yeah I really like this! Like others have said, it's very current in its sound and I could see it being big, so I hope it actually is the lead single. Hopefully it gets put onto iTunes sooner rather than later.
Definitely agree, in fact I think Body Say could already be one of my favourite Demi songs ! After the Confident era underperformed a bit this could be a bit of a return to form commercially at least.
Her most hit worthy track this era, and its a promo single. I actually cannot with her & her team.
This has now just been released on iTunes, fantastic move from her label to release this the same day as Britney and Katy!
Mess
This has such potential, it's a shame if that's gone to waste with such a stupid strategy.
This is fantastic!
Yeah, I have to say, I've been playing this loads recently, really fallen in love with it.
This is SUCH a tune.
Think this could be becoming my favourite ever Demi song?
Gutted that this flopped
SURELY they knew it was Demi, but nevertheless it is still quite funny!
