Lo - Control myself. ****************************************************************** Commentary An interesting week regarding Personal Charts (26 submitted,a record high so far, albeit beating the previous record by just 1 chart) with most members starting to count similar songs hence 65 current tunes scoring over 21 points or more. Embrace 'Natures Law' now starting to lose a little momentum with Mary J Blige ft U2 starting to catch up, but holding on for a 3rd consecutive week with only a fifteen point advantage. Shayne Ward the only notable modest climber in the Top 10 edging ever closer towards the Top 3 while The Kooks are the only Top 10 entry up four places with 'Naive'. Bizarrely enough,The Editors who seemed to be making good headway towards the Top 5 last week manage to lose total control and plummet out of the Top 40 altogether. Having checked the personal charts to make sure I've not missed 'All Sparks' from any of the 26 personal charts,it seems that all but 4 of those who members who included the song in their Top 20s last week have dropped the song altogether en masse, hence it's 43 place free-fall from the Top 40 here making it, to date, the biggest faller out of the chart. One Indie-Rock bands downfall is anothers advantage and this week it's the turn of The Zutons who occupy the what seems now to be an Indie-Rock stronghold position, like K.T. Tunstall (okay, not Indie-Rock,but guitar based),The Editors & The Kooks before them, climbing up to #11. Ne*Yo & Shakira guard the Top 10 holding steady at 12 & 13 respectively keeping the highest new entry at bay from the safety of The Buzz Jack Top 10.Infernal 'From Paris to Berlin' is fast becoming a BJ anthem in its own right, debuting high in half a dozen Personal charts this past week to claim a very respectable #14 in its first week here. The highest climber from Will Young after a slow plod into the Top 30 last week is another tune to watch out for in the coming weeks, with it's clever Blue Peter mock-video adding to the appeal. Other notable new entries from Red Hot Chili Peppers,Flaming Lips & Snow Patrol make worthy debuts within the lower half of the chart whilst older tunes from Will Young (3 members charted 'All time Love' possibly from the B.J. 'Will' contingent) & Kanye West score well enough to make The Top 40. So there's plenty of action in the lower half of the chart, but can any of this weeks 10 New Entries make that all important climb to #1 ?? As always it's entirely up to you !! Note : from next week, the B.J. Indie Rock Top 20 (compiled by Mikey) will also be counted towards this particular chart. ******************************************************************************** The following songs have dropped from last weeks Top 40 BUZZ JACK CHART :- ( 6) Editors - All Sparks. [ 3 wks] (21-11-6) (20) Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Gold Lion. [ 4 wks] (31-35-14-20) (32) Gorillaz - El Manana. [ 1 wk] (32) (33) Hard Fi - Better do better. [ 1 wk] (33) (34) Mariah Carey Feat. Snoop Dogg - Say Somethin'. [ 1 wk] (34) (35) Depeche Mode - Suffer well. [ 1 wk] (35) (36) Daz Simpson - Teenage Life. [ 3 wks] (28-23-36) (37) Morrissey - You have killed me. [ 2 wks] (29-37) (38) Hilary Duff - Fly. [ 1 wk] (38) (39) Delta Goodrem - Together we are one. [ 3 wks] (39-18-39) (40) Joey Negro - Make a move on me. [ 4 wks] (22-19-32-40) ******************************************************************** BUZZJACK NO. 1s OF 2006 (points in brackets) 1. 20/03/06 * SUGABABES - RED DRESS {288} * [ 1 wk at #1] 2. 27/03/06 * PINK - STUPID GIRLS {159} * [ 1 wk at #1] 3. 03/04/06 * EMBRACE - NATURE'S LAW {170}{207}{189} * [ 3 wks at #1] ******************************************************************** This weeks BuzzJack Chart © was compiled from 26 personal charts. A massive thanks to the following members : - ALLYSA , BEAUTIFUL INTENTION , BOYAN , CASSIDY , DAVID , DJORDJIC , GOODDELTA , GRAHAM , GRANDWICKY , JACK CRACKER , J-JAY , JESTER , KELLY , LIORI , LOFTY , LOUISE , MARK , MARTIE , MARTYN , MIKEY , RABBITFURCOAT , SITORIMON , THISISPOP , TIM , TIMPO06 & TYRON1. Great work again this week JC. Good to see the amount of contributers going up although i think more is needed if we want to get the level of points we used to get before the big split.

Well expect the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Snow Patrol to climb in the next few weeks, both tracks are pretty awesome.
Infernal From Paris To Berlin, is a damn catchy track, hopefully it will crack the top 5 next week. And surprisingly Embrace has stood well at No.1 for the past 3 weeks, it seems this is the one chart that Gnarls Barkley has not suceeded at No.1, the top 10 looks great apart from Shayne. Great work JC, thanks for compiling the chart |

Grandwicky : Fraid so.Dirty Little Things scored just the 20 points this week as nobody else charted 'Bang bang you're dead'.If one other member had charted the song, they would have managed to make the chart.
Mark : Cheers matey, the number of contributors have averaged the 25 mark for the past month. Before the split, the number of regualr contributors often hovered around the 50 mark. It' still early days and I do have the link to this forum in my signature.Give it time, although at the moment some songs which wouldn't have normally charted previously are appearing in the lower reaches of the chart here. |

Well 26 is still a good record, once we get more members signing up, I'm sure the chart contributors will grow. |

Great work JC, thanks for compiling the chart Thanks Mikey, got a good feeling about Red Hot Chili Peppers doing well on this chart and Infernal should creep into the Top 10 next week.Snow Patrol I'm not too sure about, possibly a slow-burner and may climb steadily for the next month.I think 'Crazy' has peaked now as members are starting to tire of the song.Should be interesting as to what the next BuzzJack chart #1 will be,I have a sneaky inkling that Shayne Ward could clinch it in the next fortnight..as the song has made a confident climb through the Top 40 here (26-10-5) and most of the non Rock fans have included 'No Promises' as a climber or a new entry in their personal charts. We'll see. |

Thanks for taking the time to do this Hope Embrace get knocked off soon It's a pleasure Timpo.. cheers matey.3 weeks at #1 with a decrease in points on last week would indicate that Embrace may be toppled next week. But whether it'll be U2 ft Mary J Blige,Shayne Ward or someone else is entirely down to those who list their personal charts. If a dozen or so members put the same song as a high climber in their Top 3,who knows what will happen ??!! |

embrace is not that good Look forward to receiving your Top 20 Allysa & maybe with your help it'll be knocked off the #1 here ?? I've collated all the Personal Charts together so far and it's the strangest chart yet,we could have a new number one,but so far it's a song I wasn't expecting to make #1 ! |

Sorry Kelly, blame me partly as both those songs are in my personal chart Top 5.Can't please everyone I know, but at least there's a good mix of tunes in the Top 10,something for all methinx. Yeah I agree there is a good mix but I just don't like them. [/selfish] |
