UK Chart Run: 5-2-1-1-1-2-4-4-9-10-13-18-26-30-42-62 (16 weeks) Narrowly missing out on a place in the final are Swedish pop group Ace of Base with their only UK #1 single. Taken from their debut album Happy Nation, the song was actually recorded in 1991 but went through numerous modifications before finally being released. The group had 4 further top 10 hits and 7 further top 40 hits in the UK. We're here then, the final round - VOTE FOR YOUR FAVOURITE! This post has been edited by Dobbo.: Oct 19 2022, 11:03 AM |

Amazing run for No Limit. Fair play to it though there were about 5 other songs I prefer. Haddaway will demolish it though surely.

Haddaway still played now and sounds fresh still whereas No Limits is the song that sounds of it’s time!

RESULT
UK Chart Run: 18-6-3-3-2-2-3-5-6-9-16-20-32-47-64 (15 weeks) A result that was never in doubt. What Is Love only picked up 1 vote for elimination throughout the entire survivor and now dominates this final with a convincing victory. Haddaway is a German-American Eurodance singer who was born in Trinidad & Tobago and this is by far and away his most well known song. It was kept off #1 in the UK by Gabrielle's Dreams and was in fact the only non-#1 to make the year end top 10 singles. Nevertheless it's an easy victory here! UK Chart Run: 4-2-1-1-1-1-1-2-4-5-8-10-18-24-43-60 (16 weeks) Eurodance really was a force in 1993 with 2 Unlimited, fittingly perhaps, finishing 2nd. The Belgian & Dutch group had a swathe of hits during the early 90s but this was the only one to reach top spot in the UK when it became the first new #1 of the year. The UK release weirdly had all the rap parts removed (bar the word 'techno') but it's much better in its full glory. This song did well to dodge a few close calls throughout this survivor but simply couldn't overcome the mighty What Is Love. |

Obvious but fantastic winner and 'No Limit' is an alright runner up but there was better that could have come 2nd.

Wow didn’t actually realise Haddaway was a number two until I seen the chart run there!

Me neither!! Had I not seen it in the 90's #2's and then looked it up on Wikipedia I would've assumed it was a number one as well. Definitely one for a 'I thought they were a #1' debate.
