Apparently there are no plans to release any song from the soundtrack before the movie release. Pre-orders available soon.
Preorder the soundtrack here: http://smarturl.it/ASIBSoundtrack
Will the soundtrack for this be charting as an album or a compilation? Sorry if it sounds like a silly question.
I think the soundtrack will be a big success (gold in the UK, platinum in the US), it has so much cross-over potential in the wake of TGS and others (well basically La La Land started it)
Shallow out this Friday!
Edit Shallow is actually out tomorrow at 5:30 (pm) along with music video.
Shallow is out and it's amazing!!
Soundtrack officially out *.*
I'll Never Love Again and Shallow are the diamonds but Why Did You Do That, Hair Body Face and Is That Alright complete my top 5 on first listen to all the studios (well Shallow is still live with the crowd noise). I can see a few of these creeping up with more listens though, INLA had the hype from the film being prominent in it and obv I've been spamming Shallow all week. NOTHING is going to touch INLA though
Chart wise how do people think this soundtrack will do this week? Could she get #1.
Twenty one pilots are also out so probably her biggest competition out the new releases.
Already heard the songs in film but I Can’t wait to get the album as studio versions! Ordered from HMV so should get it this weekend
I don't know if there should be a thread to soundtrack itself?
Anyway, I totally adore the soundtrack even before seeing the movie. It has some totally amazing tracks, such as Look What I Found (THOSE VOCALS OH MY GOD) and Always Remember Us This Way. Then there are plain and simple pop songs like just to point out that this is Ally and not Gaga - Gaga would NEVER settle on a song like Heal Me without adding some extra to it even though it's pretty close to The Cure. The dialogue makes this even better and glues it together. Bravo! 4/5
So do we think this will be #1 in the UK despite TOP?
I'm thinking ASIB will be #1 both US and UK. The US iTunes numbers are tremendous (4 songs in top ten, 21P are nowhere to be seen)
Judging by the amount of Spotify listens next to each song, not expecting big streaming success right out of the gate bar Shallow which gained over 1.5m streams yesterday WW.
Seperated soundtrack and movie posts into different threads!
Brilliant!
This is set to fight for #1 spot in the US

NEXT WEEK: A FOUR-WAY RACE?
Wait a minute, you say: We just called the ball on this week's chart and you're already... oh, fine. Anyway, we could be looking at a four-way battle for #1 on the next Top 50, with Interscope's A Star Is Born, Fueled by Ramen/Atlantic's twenty one pilots, Quality Control/Motown/Capitol's Lil Baby & Gunna and returning chart champ Lil Wayne (Young Money). They're all expected to trend north of 125k.
How much will opening box-office spike the Star ST? Will Wayne continue to earn big streams? Will we accidentally drink the bong water again? The answers to some of the questions will be forthcoming.
--
I think ASIB can do it!
COME THRU
Who's the best selling female worldwide again?? THIS BITCH !
Love this!
Its a shame ‘is that alright?’ Wasn’t pushed. Irs obviously a MOMENT.
Guess who has the top 4 on US iTunes?
'Is That Alright?' is absolutely stunning, heartbreaking, everything everything. Hits me SO HARD. THOSE VOCALS.
US iTunes
1. Shallow
2. Always Remember Us This Way
3. Is That Alright
4. I'll Never Love Again
6. Maybe It's Time
8. I'll Never Love Again
24. Black Eyes
32. Music to My Eyes
40. Before I Cry
48. Look What I Found
63. I Don't Know What Love Is
66. Diggin' My Grave
68. Shallow
69. Out of Time
91. Alibi
94. La Vie en Rose
101. Heal Me
146. Hair Body Face
149. Why Did You Do That
Love this so much! I really wanna see it at the cinema but have no one to go with 😭
Go on your own? ;o Honestly cinema trips on your own are so good and nice!
Before I Cry is slowly creeping up in my affections
The album is currently #2 in the midweeks with 15k sold. "Always Remember Us This Way" is at #38 but will likely drop out of the top 40 by Friday.
Also, "Look What I Found" has had a music video uploaded to Gaga's YouTube channel:
Really hoping the soundtrack can overtake 21 pilots by Friday. It’s fairly close at the minute but I’m positively thinking that ASIB will be more consistent throughout the week.
The gap is quite remarkable though in those numbers. If Trench can do 30k by Friday, ASIB must double its sales in the remaining days.
I think ASIB must settle with #2 peak for now but keeping in mind that Joanne reached #3 with 26.7k
Today's updated Billboard 200 projections, via @HITSDD
1. Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper (200-215k)
2. twenty one pilots (165-175k)
!
Brilliant numbers in the US! Shame that UK is dragging a bit even though Shallow is a bona fide hit
Can I get more appreciation for 'Before I Cry' please?
What a gorgeous song 😍
Went to order the special UK signed edition of this but it's sold out
At least she's still in the charts tbh
I always thought Katy had killed GaGa's career with her album being so much better at the time, but it's Katy who quit music for good after only one Joanne/ ARTPOP like flop
https://store.universalmusic.com/astarisborn/*/*/A-Star-Is-Born-Signed-CD/5YZ50000000
Available again !!
Just got 2 of them
Will she reaaally have signed 4k CDs though??
The CD isn't signed. They'll dispatch the CDs immediately so the sales count for this week then send the autographs on CD inserts so you can put them in front of the album booklets in a few weeks/when Gaga has time.
Managed to get one in time
~
It's looking to be a very close run thing in the UK! A Star Is Born outsold Trench on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, and it has closed the gap from 7,355 in the Monday mids, to 3,032 in today's mids.
Fingers crossed it manages to take over in time for Friday's chart *.*
Always Remember Us This Way is just so good!! Very Adele in places (it reminds me of like Don't You Remember and One & Only type songs) so it's not a surprise it's my favourite...it's outgrown Shallow in my affections now. But it's also got her own twist on that sound as well.
YES echo that!
I’ll Never Love Again, Shallow and Always Remember Us This Way are all 11/10.
I pray no one is disappointed at this being #2 in the UK tomorrow. It's achieved such good sales and is still growing and blossoming so it has life in it yet. AND the success of Shallow too. What a time to be a stan
#1 in the US too hopefully !!
NUMBER ONE IN THE UK OMG
It made it! It was midweek #2 all week!!
Omg I cheered out loud on the bus when I seen
What a day to be a Gaga fan. #1 album her first in 5 years, first top ten single in five years and an additional two top 40 hits as well.
4 UK number one albums now
WHAT
IS THAT A LIE !?!?!?!?
DONT LIE TO ME
YAS GAGA *.* So deserved, talent wins etc
So pleased!!!
https://www.officialcharts.com/charts/albums-chart/
The OCC aren’t crediting it as Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper yet it's currently charting under Motion Picture Cast Recording. Radio 1's website list it under Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper and the charts stated it was her 4th number one and Bradley's 1st.
Yasss!!!
Now it's only the film flopping at #3!!
Yess! Over 30k too!
https://twitter.com/fkajack/status/1050944310399721473?s=19
Favourite tweet ever xo
Soundtrack is back at #1 on iTunes album charts overtaking Jess Glynne.
Second version is at 19
This will probably spend second week at #1! Can't see Jess beating it unless she has big preorders..
songs breaking the US chart
#5 Shallow (Gaga/Bradley)
#36 I'll Never Love Again (Gaga/Bradley)
#41 Always Remember Us This Way (Gaga)
#63 Is That Alright? (Gaga)
#93 Maybe It's Time (Bradley)
Gonna spend second week at #1 in the US! If only people would stop Jess Glynne
Shallow now #7 on UK Spotify
Always Remember Us This Way up too #51 too a new peak.
I’ll Never Love Again has two versions top 200 too. 118k streams combined which is top 50! If I’ve added that right.
3 new peaks this week for the singles?!
Three songs on Today's Top Hits (over 2m followers on Spotify), Interscope is really paying!!
Now we just need it moving higher on HHUK. I actually believe it could go #1 if they move it near the top. Hopefully Radio 1 playlist it on Friday too
Is this truly her renaissance? *.*
Still climbing to her peak - just like Christina Aguilera.
Is That Alright, Hair Body Face and Shallow are like on repeat. AMAZING
Can't wait to see the movie this weekend
A Star Is Born Soundtrack is down to #2 in the UK this week, sales are down just -22.3%. *.* 24,732 sales this week brings its 2 week total to 56,547. Therefore it's guaranteed to certify Silver next week (60k+).
In the singles chart, new peaks for Shallow (#4), Always Remember Us This Way (#31) and I'll Never Love Again (#34).
Fantastic news! #4 is Gaga's best since BTW and three songs in top 40 still!
hitsdailydouble.com/news&id=313900&title=NEW-RELEASES:-WILL-FUTURE-JUICE-SQUEEZE-OUT-A-#1?
Saturday, October 20, 2018
NEW RELEASES: WILL FUTURE-JUICE SQUEEZE OUT A #1?
Future & Juice WRLD could well give A Star Is Born some serious competition for #1 on next week’s HITS Top 50 chart. Will the Gaga-Bradley ST, in its third week, stay above 100k and make it race? Stay tuned.
Future & Juice WRLD (Freebandz/Epic/Grade A/Interscope) 95-105k total activity, 7-10k album
Greta Van Fleet (Lava/Republic) 65-75k, 60-70k
Khalid (Right Hand Music/RCA) 40-45k, 9-12k
Lil Yachty (Quality Control/Motown/Capitol) 35-40k, 1-2k
Bohemian Rhapsody (Hollywood) 19-23k, 8-10k
--
So I read that ASIB will do 100k-ish too? 3 weeks at #1 would be Gaga's personal record!
Whoever wrote that should change career NOW
I'm confused has the Soundtrack been #1 for 1 week or 2 weeks? In the international charts thread it says Lil Wayne was #1 in week ending 13th Oct and then Lady Gaga in week ending 20th...?
2 weeks in the USA, looking pretty good for third as Future/Juice Wrld is doing worse than expected on streaming.
Shallow, Always Remember Us This Way and I'll Never Love Again have submitted for Oscar consideration! Obv Shallow is a given but I hope INLA gets a nod too
Does anybody have a tally of all of the sales per country?
Thank you
Going to be #1 in the UK again this week
'Always Remember Us This Way' that has stole my heart. A beautiful song this.
YES! I prefer it to Shallow tbh, hope it can get top 20 hit out of it
Returns to #1 officially!
Hope it can get to platinum status by the end of year. Lots of competition there though
Certified Silver (60k) in just 3 weeks already with total sales of 81,000 so far
Coming for
First Artist in UK history to have the #1 single, album and movie simultaneously in the UK
The last female artist/group to achieve anything like this was the Spice Girls who achieved a #1 single, album and movie throughout December, 1997
I thought Let's Get Physical did it with Grease, LGP on the singles and Grease no.1 in the films?
01. 12/10 - #01 - 31,816 [17,359 physicals | 9,805 downloads | 4,651 streaming]
02. 19/10 - #02 - 24,732 [12,606 physicals | 6,258 downloads | 5,868 streaming]
03. 26/10 - #01 - 24,982 [12,616 physicals | 5,721 downloads | 6,645 streaming]
Total - 81,529 [42,581 physicals | 21,784 downloads | 17,164 streaming]
It's doing so well!
Yass @ those stream increases
We will probably get one more video out of the soundtrack/movie, that's for Always Remember Us This Way
Always Remember Us This Way is such a smash in waiting...the fact it's already top 3 in Ireland!! It's the type of song which deserves to be a signature power ballad.
ARUTW isn't in my top half of the soundtrack.. oops.
It's all about Shallow, Before I Cry, Is That Alright? and I'll Never Love Again
Really pleased about the soundtrack doing well!
The soundtrack is #1 for a third consecutive week on the Billboard 200 - the first soundtrack since High School Musical 2(!) to spend its first three weeks at #1.
That's a bit "made up" achievement as Black Panther was 3 weeks at #1 earlier this year, they just weren't the first three.
I think it's bigger feat that this is Gaga's longest running #1 album there!
I bet she quits pop after this
Congrats to Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper.
A Star Is Born Soundtrack has been BRIT Certified as 'Gold' for sales of 100,000!
Platinum is actually achievable this year and early next year at least with the Globes and Oscars.
For platinum this year it'll need approx. 25k/week. It's tough (as it's been slightly below that for 2 weeks now) but achievable.
#2 this week.
The sales this week were weaker than I thought, definitely won't reach platinum by the end of the year, thank god for Globes and Oscars which should give a boost later.
(It's a big success already, don't get me wrong!)
I think it will eventually go Platinum with the award ceremonies coming up, especially if she wins some but it seems to be a huge success to go platinum these days on album sales, how many have actually achieved it this year?
Back to #1 on iTunes!
I'm wholly convinced an X-Factor final performance of 'Always Remember Us This Way' could be her 'Someone Like You' moment. It's an epic, and it needs that platform to elevate it.
The album will get good sales right until the end if year and should ceasily go platiunum.This will also help get interest when she releases her next material.
Looks like the next single is ‘Always Remember Us This Way’ as its been playlisted by Radio 2
This is the best-selling album (pure sales only) released this year in the US!
ASIB Soundtrack spends its 8th consecutive week at #1 on the album chart in Ireland
Wow Ireland are stanning
500k pure album sales in the US now. The only album to do so so far in 2018. :clap3:
As in album sales with no streaming? Or are sales that low in the USA too?
That's pure sales, still very low.

• 3 Posters - Lady Gaga, Bradley Cooper, movie main poster
• Movie photo book (16 pages)
• A Star Is Born CD with Posterfold booklet
~~~~~
198,427 total sales as of last Friday (UK), it's currently the 9th best selling album of the year *.*
Been certified platinum in the US & Canada
Depressing?
How low sales are overall. In years gone by that would have been achieved in week 1 or near to that...
£5.99 UK iTunes LIMITED OFFER.
Climbs to #3 and crosses 1M in the US, gigantic smash!
Both ‘Shallow’ & ‘A Star Is Born’ soundtrack are back to #1 on WW iTunes.
Slayage.
Albums back inside the top ten in UK this week.
#8
Back inside the UK top 3 albums again now at #3 this week
I think this is becoming my joint second favourite Gaga album now.
Pretty close to matching or even overtaking The Fame Monster.
It’s an amazing album the duets are beautiful but the Gaga solos are EVERYTHING!
I constantly change my favourite solo Gaga track with each listen but this has rightly brought her back to being a chart force.
It’ll probably become her second longest charting album too in the UK (after The Fame).
Platinum in the UK
I’ll Never Love Again has been added to the C List st Radio 2.
Yesss keeping the album afloat!
Midweek #3 on albums chart
On the singles
Shallow up to #17
Always Remember Us This Way #94 (RE!)
(UK chart).
This album now has the record for most consecutive weeks at #1 in New Zealand, with 16! The previous record was 15 set by ABBA in 1976 and matched by Ed Sheeran in 2017. It can't extend this record though as it was just dethroned by Ariana, but it can challenge for the most non-consecutive weeks at #1, which is 28 weeks set by Adele. It's also tied with Grease for most weeks at #1 by a soundtrack.
I can't even imagine the success this has been having down under, just amazing
Back in the Top 3 this week in the UK. Spending its 16th week in the Top 10
Up to #3 in midweeks now in UK (was #6 on Mondays update).
I’ve loved this era so much I’m actually gonna miss it.
The way it’s performed comercially and critically has been insane.
Never seen so much love for Gaga on a universal level like ever!!
It’s my second fave Gaga era after Born This Way now as well.
Yes, I love how critical "hipster" publications like Vice and Pitchfork are totally in love with her now too! All the positive attention she's getting makes me so happy!!
Some of my friends who never understood her before like her now as well! One even said I never knew she could sing I thought girl where have you been but I honestly think that’s probably been another common factor in her winning new fans.
But also the songs themselves like aside from Shallow which is like her biggest single since her debut era or at least since Born This Way the single we had Always Remember Us This Way and I’ll Never Love Again had multiple weeks top 40 in the UK in the streaming age which was fantastic as the songs are the opposite of what’s typically played on there.
I think it just felt like a real authentic campaign and I feel the image may have also helped too.
I also love the random articles popping up about her on my news feed now, my feed yesterday was full of shares of the oscars performance and the Madonna picture too.
I’d say right now she’s probably back to being the most powerful person in music.
Returns to #1 in the US, according to HITS. Fourth week at the top! What a success!!!!
Amazing! #1 with 128k units sold. It’s the longest-running #1 soundtrack in the US since Frozen in 2014.
"A Star Is Born" already sold more than 900.000 copies (yes, it's pure sales) in US.
Platinum is only a question of time, she still sold near 20.000 each week and will reach 1 million in the next month.
Yes, and will probably be double platinum by the end of year.
Ahh ok thanks for clarifying
The Fame also re-entered the Billboard 200 this week.
"Always Remember Us This Way" and "I'll Never Love Again" re-enter the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 47 and No. 62, respectively.
#7 this week in UK nearly 11K sold. 18th week top ten though which is great
On sales it was #4.
Hoping it can remain top 10 again this week would love for it to get 20 weeks top ten.
A lot of new entries this week however.
It'll return to top ten anyway if happens to drop out this coming week.
Down to #3 on the Billboard 200
Amazing longevity for this album! Think it can easily do a few more weeks in the top 10 and should comfortably remain in the top 200 for the next year
:clap3:
This longevity :clap3:
#11 in UK mids. Can it stay top 10 by Friday?
I think so, all it needs to do is to overtake Paul Welller's live album.
Paul was 6 on Monday and was 8 today.
Streaming may push some albums ahead but next week it should climb back into the top ten it’s just that there was a lot of new entries this week.
EDIT
Paul’s now number ten so it looks likely she will remain top ten after all especially with missing streaming data added.
Paul’s already went 6-8-10 from Monday so it’s likely he’ll enter at 11 or 12.
Was #11 on today's chart! About 1000 sales off the top 10 but still an impressive result.
Over 8K sold this week as well.
It should hopefully climb back this week as some of the new entries will drop down this week now they’re in week 2.
U.S. iTunes Albums:
1. A Star Is Born (+1)
U.S. iTunes Singles
1. Shallow (=)
:')
Still top 3 in the US
Is it bad that I still haven't seen this film yet ? haha I will see it though as everyone I know loves it and I feel like im missing out
Back in the top 10 for this week's midweek
#8 in UK this week.
19th week top ten
The soundtrack crossed 1 million PURE copies sold in the US. This is Gaga’s first album to do so since Born This Way. It is also the only album released in 2018 to sell 1 million pure copies in the US.
#10 on first UK midweek hopefully safe for another week top 10!
#9 in UK.
20 weeks top ten now
Hoping Mothers Day can help keep it there next week too.
Amazing to get another week top 10!
The gap between ASIB and whatever's #10 is pretty big so staying in top ten might be possible although wouldn't be surprised if it drops to #12-13. Mother's Day is unpredictable (Michael Buble can come out of nowhere and re-enter the top ten lol)
#8 in today’s midweeks.
Looks like the signed CDs are finally being distributed
#13 in midweeks this week for the UK which means it looks set to climb. It was at #15 last week.
I think it might just miss out on re entering the top 10 come Friday as there’s a few new entries above what I’m thinking she’ll overtake.
ALready ahead of Khalid's latest on album chart, the longevity!!
30 weeks in UK Top 20.
3 more weeks than Born This Way album managed.
Only The Fame has more weeks for a Gaga album.
It’ll likely outlast Born This Way in the top 40 now as well given it’s still in the top 20.
I’m so happy at the chart run this albums had. That longevity
£4.99 on UK iTunes currently. Don’t know when the price was lowered but good offer.
Also the album should hopefully return to the top 20 today in the UK it’s been there all week in the midweeks.
Great news! Rack up even more sales
A Star Is Born soundtrack has jumped back into the Top 5 and Shallow back into the Top 10 on US iTunes following the movie's premiere on HBO
That's amazing !!!
I forgot it was premiering for a sec so wondered what caused the jump.
Hope Shallow can reach the 40 week mark on Hot 100, that'd be huge! Poker Face got 40 weeks and Just Dance 49 weeks
Back up to #2 on US iTunes :')
I believe due to another showing of the film on HBO?
Double platinum in the US!
What a triumph!
... and now I read it's apparently crossed 6 MILLION worldwide sales?
#25 in UK this week (up 6 from last week)
With tonight’s screening of the film on Sky Cinema it’s UK premiere we could maybes see a rise next week too
'Always Remember Us This Way' back up to #59 on iTunes
Shallow is at 33 too it was outside the top 40 earlier today
I’ll Never Love Again has rose to 119
Soundtrack is at 11 on albums at present with a second version at 82
iTunes:
29. Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper - Shallow
41. Lady Gaga - Always Remember Us This Way
78. Lady Gaga - I'll Never Love Again (Extended Version)
405. Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper - Shallow
614. Lady Gaga - Is That Alright?
689. Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper - Shallow
999. Lady Gaga - Always Remember Us This Way
Hoping for another week of good climbs for the album and singles then!
22. Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper - Shallow
33. Lady Gaga - Always Remember Us This Way
58. Lady Gaga - I'll Never Love Again (Extended Version)
*_*
Omg amazing!
Soundtrack at #4 (highest album after Ed as 2 and 3 are compilations) and #23
On the Apple streaming chart it’s at 42 and 52 definitely higher than where it was last week.
Would love to know where that puts it combined.
HELP
12. Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper - Shallow
24. Lady Gaga - Always Remember Us This Way
29. Lady Gaga - I'll Never Love Again (Extended Version)
119. Bradley Cooper - Maybe It's Time
206. Lady Gaga - Is That Alright?
872. Lady Gaga - Heal Me
1175. Bradley Cooper - Alibi
1214. Bradley Cooper - Maybe It's Time
What a boost
Poor brave Maybe It's Time
OH oops thought that why would it suddenly be the least fave track on the album.
Anyone know how I can (legally) watch this on my PS4 without having to pay £6.49 to rent it?
Omg so the albums midweeks are out and it’s back up to #5!!
It’s so close to the top 3 as well.
Ed’s obviously way ahead at #1 but it’s definitely possible.
Kylie at 3 and it’s only 600 behind. We could definitely make up for that in streams though!
Edit: Billies ahead at 4 so will probably have bigger streams
It’s a big climb though as it was #25 on Friday.
Such a wonderful era for Lady Gaga.
Sales will slow down again from today but a Top 5 return is looking positive.
I do want Kylie to stay ahead.
TOP 5!?!? That's about 15 places higher than I thought it would be. Incredible!
ASIB might overtake Kylie with the streaming advantage, who would've thought!
I mean top ten would've been fab but top 5 is something else! Even though with low sales but who cares
Wow amazing to see it top 5 again!
Holding on to #5 in today's midweeks
800 copies sold yesterday
With streams missing too that’s just purely physical CD sales and downloads.
No way streams are missing in that number
Would be amazing daily sales if so
YAASSS smashing sales then!! (perhaps almost 1k daily!)
It sold ~472 copies yesterday. Looking like it might miss out on the top 5 come Friday but still, a jump from 25 to into the top 10 is amazing to see
It made it to #5!
22 weeks top ten now
It’s also spent a week at every position in the top ten now except number ten itself.
Was also #4 on sales too. Its usually a few places lower officially than just sales though.
6,107 sold this week
Also this is from the sales thread
“Like Sheeran, Eminem, Olly Murs, One Direction and Robbie Williams have also had four No.1s in the 2010s, as has Lady Gaga if we include her A Star Is Born soundtrack collaboration with Bradley Cooper”.
Go Gaga the only female mentioned
YAY for it being top 5
Incredible news!
iTunes:
32. Lady Gaga - Always Remember Us This Way (+7)
Climbing again!!
17. Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper - Shallow (+3)
30. Lady Gaga - Always Remember Us This Way (+4)
39. Lady Gaga - I'll Never Love Again (Extended Version) (+13)
Wonder why they're climbing again
More people watching the movie during the weekend I suppose
#12 in today's midweeks.
Yasss another week in top ten would be super fab without any active singles on radio and stuff
#9 on midweeks today, should stay around there.
As long as its top 10. I've streamed the album more this week than I have all year
It’s #10!
Woo it’s spent a week at every position in the top ten now.
It was also #9 on sales.
It’s now managed 23 weeks top ten which is the same amount of weeks the Barbara Streisand one got. They also both got 2 weeks at #1 as well!!
Amazing to see this hold onto top 10!
Wow wonderful! Wonder if The Fame is still somewhere in top 200...
AISB songs climbing again on iTunes!!
20. Shallow (+9)
43. Always Remember Us This Way (+27)
56. I'll Never Love Again (Extended Version) (+39)
621. Shallow (+41)
642. Shallow (+670)
1065. Is That Alright? (+172)
1100. Always Remember Us This Way (+190)
Great climbs! I'm hoping for a lot of exposure to the soundtrack during X Factor etc this year.
I can't believe it's coming up a year since the movie was released and look how brilliantly it's still doing
I was panicking the first week of release, including the soundtrack and whether it would get to #1... I had NOTHING to worry about looking back
Where is 21 Pilots' album now?
What is a 21 Pilots tbh
#14 in mids today!
Up to #13 in today's, and could rise further by Friday!
Charts at #12 this week!
Fantastic although the sales are obviously pretty low but who cares!
Was #15 in the mids - another week top 20!
#13 today! Amazing! Every week in top 20 is a plus now!
All the regular songs on the album have at least 27m listens on Spotify
Wow that is actually quite amazing
Down only 1 spot to #16! Great!
Strongly aiming at charting close to top 20 again this week, #24 in midweeks but some of the new entries will drop below it (and some streaming heavy ones might overtake)
It’s still hanging round and that’s the main thing.
I feel like we could see it continue being in the 15-30 range for a good more few weeks yet.
Hopefully in Q4 too it’ll get boosts from Strictly and some other shows.
Was also thinking in December like in the lead up to Xmas or new year could it get its mainstream TV debut?
Like even if it was on C4 or C5 that could give a big boost as well as when Gaga’s new solo material comes that may help the album
In terms of streams.
#25 officially but #20 on sales only.
Hmm hopefully it can stay in top 40 for another month or so, not going to stay all Q4 surely, but it's been a great run!
Up to #21 in today's midweek!
Longevity!
YASS! Some decent amount of new entries so it's not even a dead week
Down only one spot to #48 in the US and there were six new entries above so slaying a bit
Up one spot to #24, amazing! Gonna spend several weeks in top 40 still I reckon.
The deadline for Grammy submissions is today. What do you think was submitted from ASIB?
I personally think at least Always Remember Us This Way for Song of the Year and Best Song Written for Visual Media... and also album categories with ASIB obviously
I’d love it to have been Always Remember Us This Way but I could see I’ll Never Love Again getting something as well.
Then the album possibly for album of the year and best soundtrack
Excited to see what is submitted/nominated!
Apparently there's a new boxset + CD coming in November! Not sure what it'll include
Ooooh, maybe new songs?
It should keep the album going over the xmas period (and tied us over until LG6)
That sounds atrocious.
#30 in the UK this week. Still hanging in there but I guess the days in top 20 are over.
It’s still top 20 on sales only but streaming’s starting to effect it bigger now.
Maybe the November re release will push it further up the charts maybes into the top 20 again? I would say top ten but with sales being higher and a lot of people already owning it it’s hard to predict.
I’ll definitely be getting it though regardless
#34 on midweeks... might have another week in top 30 as there are couple of albums it will most likely overtake.
Up one to #29! Keep smashing!
Still top ten YTD as well although not going to stay there but top 20 for sure.
The fact it's a year old next month and it's still doing decent numbers
#33 in the mids. Should easily be top 30 again this week
Was #35 in the end this week.
Gah I really hope it holds top 40 for the next two weeks just so it can get an entire year in the top 40 with an unbroken run
Just watch it end up at #41
A bit disappointing, #35 is its lowest position to date. That said, there are not that huge amount of big new albums this week so should be safely top 30-ish next Friday.
Tough week for the album with so many new entries! Currently #42 on mids, however it will climb into top 40 but gonna get its lowest position to date. Shallow is also in danger to drop out of top 75 for second time but might *just* stay in.
There’s two new entries at 39 and 40 in the albums what Gaga should end up overtaking.
She could overtake some of the albums above her too what have had big drops from last week.
I’d love her to get 52 consecutive weeks in the top 40!
But I’m fairly confident it’ll dip in and out the top 40 if it does drop out and it’ll return when the re release happens.
Yea I just need the 52 weeks cos it'll obviously drop out at some point even though the weekly units might increase.
#54 in the US, for 3rd week in a row. Very stable!!!!
Yay!
That’s good!
Guessing she overtook the two new entires what were just above her.
51st week top 40 incoming.
Can we get a streaming party for next week for the 52nd week though pls
Yes! Must make a thread about it on Friday!
#36 today!
Amazing!!!
Listening through the soundtrack this morning. Who else is listening this chart week?
I will! ASIB 4EVER!
Apparently the movie will be available on the local Netflix very soon too.
#35 UK this week.
Pls keep it there next week were on 51 weeks come on we can do it!!
Amazing result and the competition seems lighter this coming week too!
#45 in midweeks, gonna be tough to get that 52nd week in top 40. It possible though!
Let's stream it!!
Down 1 spot to #55 in the US, pretty steady although this was a slow release week there so could've climbed too...
So anxious to see if this makes a year in top 40...
#42 Saddest day of the chart year
51 weeks in top 40 and then....
Yea I know, just frustrating because it probably even increased in sales this week or at least was very steady.
It is frustrating, but i'm remaining positive. To think, I wasn't even sure it would get to #1 on opening week
37 on sales too
Has it always been top 40 on sales only?
I’m confident it’ll return to the top 40 it was just so close to getting an unbroken year run.
I don’t even think The Fame managed that unbroken.
They really did that
Omg quueeeen
The deluxe is coming 15th of November, btw!
That’s pretty soon!
I’ll definitely get the deluxe.
Wonder when we’ll get the new tracklisting for it to see what the extras are
I have a feeling us Gaga stans will be more than able to get it back top ten on re release week.
I'm so excited for the deluxe version.. even if it does mean LG6 confirmed to not be coming this side of the new year ~
Gonna be top 40 this week yay! Better to get that 52th week late than never!
It’s so typical it spent 51 weeks top 40 and dropped out on week 52!
I guess Strictly is helping it this week mixed with the anniversary too
But good to see it rising back.
Down only 1 spot to #56 in the US!
It's #36 in the mids <3
YAAAS
Climbed to #37 so 52 weeks in top 40
I so knew this would happen!!
Glad it managed that 52nd week top 40
I believe it also had a sales increase because #43 sold almost 2.3k.
#41 on midweeks... might or might not stay in top 40. Lots of new entries.
Shallow is nominated for Collaboration of the Year and ASIB for Soundtrack album at the American Music Awards
AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS 2019 NOMINEES
COLLABORATION OF THE YEAR
Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper “Shallow”
Lil Nas X ft. Billy Ray Cyrus “Old Town Road”
Marshmello & Bastille “Happier”
Shawn Mendes & Camila Cabello “Señorita”
Post Malone & Swae Lee “Sunflower (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse)”
FAVORITE SOUNDTRACK
“A Star is Born” by Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper
“Bohemian Rhapsody” by Queen
“Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse”
Will she perform/attend? The ceremony will be held on Nov 24 and she is free from Vegas residency then.
Hmmm hope this is true and ASIB will get noms!
She’s definitely coming for her 10th Grammy at least
Steady at #69 in the US!
#63 in the UK this week, down 4 spots. Should pretty easily stay in top 75 for the next few weeks and most likely over Xmas as well, if it's available in stock for gift buyers everywhere. As an older album might not be.
500K units sold in the UK!!!
JUST in top 75 this week, #75. Hope it can stay there next week but there will be lots of new entries...
Is the film getting a TV premiere over Christmas / New Year if it does it could go back top 40.
It’ll probably be around the 75-100 mark for the next few weeks.
It'll definitely return to top 75 after Xmas rush but it might miss these last 5 weeks of the year. Not a big deal though, it's been out of top 40 for a while now.
It sold 2k this week, so might have even increased in that department. It's just so crowded now on charts.
#83 in midweeks, might stay in top 75 after all this week but it will be close.
Sad day for the album as it's out of top 75 for the first time, dropping to #79. Could return next week though as the release schedule is much lighter than this week.
#83 in midweeks, should chart around 77-80 again this week.
With 61 weeks in the top 100 albums in the UK this now overtakes Born This Way as her second longest running album
Shame that this is not selling better physically, it is the album sales season after all... does anyone know if it's in stock at supermarkets at all?
Climbed 6 positions in the US, currently #107 with DOZENS of Xmas albums above.
Climbs 3 spots to #86, top 75 here we come again!!
I covered all the top charting albums in my local Coop with ASIB today because I'm mature like that x
Up to #68 on midweeks... whoa, could be top 75 on Friday!!
Great work Jase!
Back to top 75 in the UK, #74!!!!
Finally got my friend to watch this over the holidays and she loved it! So good to watch when you’re on a hangover
I really hope at some point we get some live / tour performances of some of the other tracks on the soundtrack. But yeah this is such a special era. And it’s still charting now
YAYAY!
It would be very weird if she didn't include ARUTW in her setlist at some point. It's so popular!!
Oh
Bullshit
So...OCC indeed disqualified it from chart.
At least Billboard has taste.
13 on compilations chart.
Still hope we continue to get some updates for new sales totals for this etc I imagine streams will increase when we get into the new era.
I don’t think streams are counted anymore now it’s on the compilation chart?
Great jump on BB200 in the US
88 133 120 65 A Star Is Born (Soundtrack) - Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper ( 1 ) Interscope
Those new chart rules are stupid! Wonder if it's the Greatest Showman effect!?
Could be! It's super silly and unfair that it didn't affect Last Christmas which was credited for Wham and George Michael.
ASIB is up 2 positions in the US though! #86!
Still top 100 in the US, #96 this week. 67 weeks on chart and double platinum.
This is now the Gaga era with the most GRAMMY wins!
Also the first movie soundtrack to spawn a best song for visual media category twice in a row! Legendary!
A record breaking queen!
I was so sure Beyoncé’s Spirit would get the song award because Gaga got it last year I literally jumped out my chair and yelled YESSSSS when she won. My mam and Dad were like are you ok
Bey won with Homecoming, maybe they thought that's good way to split the awards with these two.
Drops out of top 100 in the US (96->104) but still doing very well as it was pretty busy week with new entries.
Up one spot in the US, to #103
Always Remember Us This Way was covered on The Voice UK tonight!!!
Yass get that boost that doesn't show on album chart!
Top 50 on iTunes again
Dropped to #119 in the US
Up 10 spots in the US album chart!!!
Down only 1 spot in the US on a very busy week (#110 this week) Charlotte Awbury's impact!!
116->103 in the US album chart!!
We love the Stupid Love effect
116->103 in the US album chart!!
We love the Stupid Love effect
.@ladygaga and Bradley Cooper's 'A Star Is Born' was the fourth best selling album worldwide in 2019 (via IFPI).
:clap3:
Any updated sales figures please? How close is it to double platinum? If at all?
Ok my favourite part of this soundtrack is when she says "I hope it's ok if I love you forever" in the 'Vows' interlude, which then leads into 'Is That Alright?'. Always cuts me deep. :'(
Billboard 200 this week:
141 167 162 84 A Star Is Born (Soundtrack) - Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper ( 1 ) Interscope
YAAAAAS
This is £5.99 on UK iTunes!!
So I’ve bought it digitally I was shocked I didn’t buy it on iTunes on release week tbh but I now have two purchased copies off this era
Any updates on UK sales?
I wonder what will be Platinum first: Alejandro or Always Remember Us This Way.
ASIB is now certified DIAMOND in France for selling 500,000 copies!
US Album chart
172 178 94 A Star Is Born (Soundtrack) Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper rank:1
Is it still smashing or what?
100 weeks soon!
UK Mids
94. Shallow
The hit that never dies.
Any news on sales for the soundtrack in the UK? I often still wonder if it’d still be top 100 if it were on the main albums chart. Hoping it goes platinum x2 eventually.
My estimates:
ASIB - 557k
At this rate, it will reach 2x P only at the end of April/beginning of May 2021... We'd better focus on the next ROM, Shallow, ARUTW and Alejandro certificates, respectively, cuz...
3... BILLION streams for this album! what a phenomenal success.
What an era!!
up to #73 in today’s midweeks
Or aired on linear TV?
Was added to Netflix this week in Canada!
Amazing boost!
ASIB is above Chromatica on all platforms in Canada, knowing that physical sales are still weak, it's possible that ASIB will pull over or even surpass Chromatica on the official chart if things go on like this.
Oh shit, I have to finally watch it now that it's on Netflix. All hail VPN!
It's been on Finnish Netflix for months, maybe almost a year.
WOW what an increase!
YESSSS JOANNE!
I often still wonder how many more weeks this could’ve racked up on the UK Top 100 if it could still chart as an album.
It left the chart as her second longest running era with 64 weeks in total, 52 of those being inside the top 40 itself.
ASIB sells around 1.2k copies per week in the UK, so it would still be on the chart, between the Top 80 and Top 100, based on weekly sales of this region.
Film is now free to view on Amazon Prime.....so this should be rising again
Shame it can't chart on official album chart :/
Hopefully a climb on streaming is underway? Will be interesting to see the impact especially as we get closer to Christmas holidays which I assume is when most people will be watching!
Would be amazing if ARUTW could re-enter the UK Spotify top 200.
Just so we can see the impact if there is one, currently:
The soundtrack is #49 and #131 on UK iTunes
This was #137 on Billboard 200 YE Albums
Eternal smash! Will probably be in the charts for years now lol x
People must be checking out the film on Prime because:
United Kingdom
40. Shallow
104. Always Remember Us This Way
161. I'll Never Love Again
iTunes Albums:
8. A Star Is Born Soundtrack
Ireland with more TASTE!
I'm sure Shallow will return to the top 100 this week, it's inside the top 40 now on iTunes. Not so sure about ARUTW, but still great exposure for the album and closer to getting the soundtrack to 2x platinum. It's not far off.
Not probably this week with Xmas songs staying still, but next week hopefully.
The soundtrack coming for 2X platinum in early 2021!
It deserves
The best Jackson Maine song did that
A great achievement! Definitely a highlight on the soundtrack
Soundtrack charts at #137 on the 2020 Billboard Year-End chart
Brilliant! Hope it re-enters the chart soon too, been a while
Returns to the Billboard album chart, meaning it has now charted there for 2 full years!
It'll be an "evergreen" soundtrack, even moreso than the previous ASIB
Soundtrack made the top 20 on US iTunes again today
Billboard 200:
#174. “A Star is Born Soundtrack” — @ladygaga & Bradley Cooper (+20)
Yay huge climb, overtaking Chromatica next week? Also hope that The Fame re-enters after the inauguration.
Total UK sales right now: 582,035 (double platinum in May or June I think)
The ASIB soundtrack has been certified 3x Platinum in Canada as of Jan 31st (240k)
and others too such as Hong Kong and Italy!
What a smash era
Looking forward to see the potential rise of Shallow in streams today.
It's because the film was shown in these countries for Valentines Day apparently!
iTunes Italy
1. (+2) ASIB
They are already looking forward to Gucci
Love the longevity! The movie + two big hits is a winning combo. Shame it cannot chart in the UK.
Double platinum in Italy!
How close is the album to 2x Platinum?
Yesss!! (It's come and gone here already but happy for the UK)
3.5 BILLION streams on Spotify
Even if we exclude Shallow, it's still big success!
People watching the movie during the Easter weekend, seems about right
Just to compare with a potential impact of the film coming to Netflix tomorrow, currently:
United Kingdom
iTunes:
84. Shallow
207. Always Remember Us This Way
208. I'll Never Love Again
Spotify:
132. Shallow
Let's see what happens
We could see Shallow reset to SCR?
I am dreaming of ARUTW going SCR and reaching new peak. It is extremely unlikely but not *totally* impossible
I guess it all depends whether it sees a rise in streaming off the back of being on Netflix. We know the songs will rise on iTunes, but a rise on Spotify/ Apple Music isn’t always guaranteed.
Shallow already #63 on iTunes, it's coming
Shallow #43
Always Remember Us this Way #109
A Star Is Born (Soundtrack) #183
It's coming (again)!
iTunes:
36. Shallow
65. Always Remember Us This Way
197. I'll Never Love Again
Spotify:
#8. (+46) A Star Is Born Soundtrack
Very interesting to see the Spotify climb for Shallow tomorrow.
Belgium stans even harder
Very happy to see ARUTW that high, although it doesn't take much... need to see the Spotify numbers, WHERE are them
Shallow went 142 -> 114 on Spotify
But ARUTW didn't re-enter :/
Wasn't 'Shallow' #175 yesterday?
INLA reached top 100 on iTunes too
iTunes:
26. Shallow
40. Always Remember Us This Way
92. I'll Never Love Again
1431. Shallow
1494. Always Remember Us This Way
iTunes Albums:
23. A Star Is Born Soundtrack
332. A Star Is Born Soundtrack
Apple Music Albums:
35. A Star Is Born Soundtrack
Looks like it climbs moreso in the evenings, as this is probably when people sit down to watch it! Great second day
Great improvent! It might actually peak next weekend when the word of mouth has spread and people have time.
I think with the movie on Netflix, it'll have so much continued exposure for a long, long time now. There will be random surges and dips in how many people watch it but it'll be consistently slightly higher than it has been for the past year or so. There is no stopping this album!
shallow down to #117, it's over :/
The # of streams is very good though, 67.7k which is the highest in over a month
The usual late night iTunes boost from people watching the film! Looking like the best evening yet on iTunes:
24. Shallow
46. Always Remember Us This Way
62. I'll Never Love Again
429. Shallow
438. Always Remember Us This Way
1028. I'll Never Love Again
1031. I Don't Know What Love Is
1432. Is That Alright
New post-Netflix peak for Shallow and great to see the bottom 2 songs entering (even though it is neglible sales - the best song appears).
