Ryan Murphy revealed that every actor who took the Dolby Theater stage for the “American Horror Story” Paleyfest panel would be back next season on Sunday.

That includes cast members Finn Wittrock, Cheyenne Jackson, Wes Bentley, Matt Bomer, Angela Bassett, Denis O’Hare, Kathy Bates and Sarah Paulson, who all attended the Paleyfest event.

Gaga has also been confirmed w00t.gif

No confirmed theme yet, but the slender man one has been confirmed to not be happening.

Posted by: ℒ𝓲𝓷⻤ Mar 21 2016, 10:36 PM

Omg yes at that line up, I'm surprised Evan wasn't at Paley though ohmy.gif I hope he's back next season and I'm still hoping for Jessica Lange to return happy.gif

Did you not mention you read that next season may be based around children and we were thinking orphanage? That would be really cool to see tbh

Posted by: princess_lotti Aug 16 2016, 08:55 AM

can't believe i made this in march and WE STILL DON'T KNOW THE THEME dry.gif

there has been a TON of teasers on twitter, IG etc but apparently most of them are red herrings and only one is real! mellow.gif The most likely theory atm imo is the "Lost Colony" one, which has the potential to be really interesting!

ANYWAY this is back on September 14th, so not long to go! Only ten episodes this time, I'm really hoping this is as good as Hotel was.

Posted by: Lindsey ♌ Aug 16 2016, 12:48 PM

I'm SO hyped for this, i agree that the lost colony one is probably the most likely since its based off of actual events, regardless of what it turns out to be though I'm sure it will be incredible *.*

I still want Gaga as an evil fairy tbh

Posted by: Cody Raisman Aug 16 2016, 03:41 PM

Are you sure this is only ten episodes? I'm smelling a mid-season hiatus after those 10 episodes.

I can see the Lost Colony theory but the promo poster references Creature From The Black Lagoon, so I can also see a summer camp/historical park theme that can build on the lost colony motif. Maybe a summer camp or camping area has been renovated from a centuries-old town or built under an ancient native colony.

Posted by: princess_lotti Aug 16 2016, 05:16 PM

INTERESTING you say that because it's also been confirmed it's going to be set in two time frames, mainly in the present. I can so totally see a summer camp over a lost colony!

there's been a ton of promo posters which completely differ, I just chose this one because it's pretty to look at tongue.gif

Considering Ryan Murphy has become notorious for his http://moviepilot.com/posts/3651732 as of late, it wouldn't surprise me if they threw in a CFTBL reference this season. Both Hotel and the past season of Scream Queens had The Shining as a main muse.

Posted by: Lindsey ♌ Aug 17 2016, 05:26 AM

Was the summer camp thing not meant to be for Scream Queens though? thinking.gif Black Lagoon sounds awesome tho

I think they decided on the hospital theme before the Comic Con announcement

Posted by: The Codemeister Sep 10 2016, 03:49 AM

LOTTI I CALLED IT ON PLUG

Posted by: jakewild Sep 10 2016, 09:15 AM

so the theme is farm?

Posted by: Lindsey⚙ Sep 10 2016, 10:44 AM

That video isn't available in my country apparently so I've yet to see it but I'm not believing anything atm, aren't they putting out as many teasers as possible to throw us but only one is legit?

Posted by: The Codemeister Sep 10 2016, 05:05 PM

I'm thinking that the Lost Colony idea isn't that far fetched now - maybe the "Perfect Illusion" teaser might mean that there are some people stranded and are seeing mirages like they would in a desert, but those mirages were flashbacks to a colony that mysteriously vanished centuries ago?

Posted by: Mackenzie Sep 11 2016, 12:16 AM

I STILL HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THE THEME IS AND I KINDA LOVE IT

Posted by: princess_lotita Sep 15 2016, 11:39 AM

HOLY SHIT WHAT AN OPENER

I have NEVER been more on edge in AHS, this season already has potential to be my favourite one yet. Sarah Paulson and Angela Bassett's scenes together were the highlights. I ABSOLUTELY ADORE the documentary style, I was so sceptical when I saw people on twitter berating it but it works SO WELL. Excited to see Gaga next week cheer.gif

GUYS OH MY GOD

Posted by: Wizard's Sleeve Sep 15 2016, 11:55 AM

Is it Coven?!

Posted by: Joe. Sep 15 2016, 12:14 PM

Fantastic opener! I love how 'back to basics' and simplistic it was. It felt very authentic. Like a cross between season 1 and Blair Witch. Angela Bassett'a character is fantastic, this is already the best character she's played on the show.

Are AHS actually using that scene from Coven for promo?!

Posted by: The Codemeister Sep 15 2016, 06:16 PM

Lol someone on Tumblr compared My Roanoke Nightmare to My Chemical Romance tongue.gif

I think that means there are going to be scenes in Roanoke that connect with Coven since all the seasons are connected to each other in some way, so maybe the type of paranormal activity that exists in the present time also existed in both the past time frame and in Coven.

I'm digging the mock-umentary style of this season as it feels very much tailored to the present day audience who might not get the horror movie muses from the other seasons. And considering Hotel was full of them... it's probably a good thing. Everyone knows The Blair Witch Project to some degree, and some of the house scenes remind me of The Amityville Horror mixed with Paranormal Activity.

I'm really excited to see what type of character Evan plays in this season. He did so well with the sadistic March, so I can see him portraying a more vulnerable character this time around.

Posted by: The Codemeister Sep 15 2016, 07:16 PM

btw FX uploaded the season preview that Lotti has on the Twitter link:

Angela's character is gonna be SO GOOD.

(So I'm guessing the theme is True American Horror Story and My Roanoke Nightmare is supposed to be a show within a show?)

Posted by: jase. Sep 15 2016, 10:31 PM

INCREDIBLE first episode which had me jumping outta my skin a couple of times laugh.gif

Posted by: mr_pmt Sep 15 2016, 11:12 PM

I'm pretty certain going by the first episode that this is going to be better than Hotel.

Posted by: Lindsey⚙ Sep 16 2016, 05:10 PM

I think this could be the most interesting season yet, idk much about the story it's based on but I'm loving the documentary set up, even if it did take me a bit to grasp kink.gif

ADINA PORTER THO!!!! wub.gif

Posted by: Mackenzie Sep 16 2016, 08:36 PM

YES YES AND YES I loved this especially the raining teeth scene and weird Blair Witch objects and the ending omg

Posted by: Wizard's Sleeve Sep 16 2016, 09:22 PM

Didn't realise all the seasons were linked!

Posted by: Lindsey⚙ Sep 17 2016, 01:17 PM

I think that's maybe a new thing as it's only been since freakshow that they've started linking back I think? Peppa from Asylum etc and then we had coven stuff in hotel plus Sarahs season one character, I really love it when they overlap the seasons tho so I'm excited to see what they do with this! I was getting murder house vibes at the start so maybe they'll even do sonething with that ohmy.gif

Posted by: Wizard's Sleeve Sep 17 2016, 01:20 PM

What coven stuff was in Hotel as I didn't watch it?

Posted by: Pavel Sep 17 2016, 05:07 PM

North Carolina is geografically quite far from LA which is where the murder house and the hotel are so I guess the connection won't be too obvious.

Posted by: Bonquiqui Sep 17 2016, 05:38 PM

ANGELA BASSET THO*.*

Posted by: PaulM1983 Sep 17 2016, 05:58 PM

This season is going to be a trifecta of amazingness between Sarah, Angela and Kathy isn't it? I'm here for this 100%.

Fantastic first episode, already more intriguing than Hotel imo. Loved the documentary style feel to it. Angela Bassett was amazing as always.

Posted by: princess_lotita Sep 22 2016, 10:28 AM

that episode was EVEN MORE TERRIFYING THAN THE FIRST. really enjoying the pacing of things so far but I need more Gaga pls !!!! mellow.gif also where is Evan

Posted by: Jonjo Sep 22 2016, 07:58 PM

I don't want to be premature on this but, are we currently watching the best season yet?? ohmy.gif

I'm really loving it atm. BUT with everything from season 3 to present, I found out that AHS tends to start off strong/promising, before just ending up in circles and not really going anywhere. (I still need to finish season 5!)

Posted by: princess_lotita Sep 22 2016, 07:59 PM

i'm starting to think this could be the best season, it better keepu p!!!

Posted by: Cody Hough Sep 22 2016, 08:41 PM

So was Gaga the ghost that was haunting the professor in that Insidious-like jumpscare?

Posted by: princess_lotita Sep 22 2016, 09:53 PM

gaga was the one holding a mans scalp :')

Posted by: Joe. Sep 22 2016, 10:26 PM

Was the episode meant to be only 38 mins long!? It felt so short. Really enjoyed it though, so it's already doing better than hotel for me, which crashed in episode 2.

Posted by: Klumzee Sep 25 2016, 02:00 PM

The professor/hand-held cam bit was terrifying to watch cry.gif Had to take my headphones out when I knew the jumpscare was nearly there. I like the fact that this season seems easier to keep up with what's going on; I struggled especially with Hotel to keep up with all the goings on they were throwing at us from the beginning so I'm appreciating the less 'in your face' approach we seem to have this season!

Posted by: Chez Wombat Sep 25 2016, 04:01 PM

Well from the first episode, I'm sure this could finally be the first season since Coven I actually finish. Not the most original premise granted, but it was refreshing to have a simple and scary premise and not the extreme style/overload of characters over substance and storytelling which was the main reason I couldn't finish Freak Show or Hotel (and the shorter episode length was also a relief, there was way too much of an overload of scenes that didn't go anywhere in past seasons in like hour long episodes so it's nice to get a running time that's straight to the point).

I'm admittedly unsure how they can sustain this format over a whole 13 episodes, but still this has definitely given me more reason to stick with this.

Posted by: Euphorique Sep 26 2016, 07:49 PM

Easily the best season since Asylum for me. Really enjoying it.

She had like two one second cameos laugh.gif

Posted by: LINDSΞY Sep 27 2016, 04:35 PM

Omg I didn't even notice them laugh.gif

I was looking up the real story it was based on and it's something like a guy called Raleigh found the lost colony so maybe Evan will play him?

Posted by: Bonq Oct 5 2016, 09:45 PM

why the f*** can't kathy bates ever talk like a proper human being in this?

Posted by: 24k Cody Oct 8 2016, 02:16 AM

I love how we got some insight into Gaga's character! The lore that inspires a lot of the story seems to be more Scottish-Gaelic. (Although her character seems to be based on https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scáthach so I'm betting that she was possessed by the power of her and the blood moon and that her physical appearance is just a vessel.

(Now tell me where the freak Evan is)

Posted by: jase. Oct 8 2016, 08:32 PM

Gaga's acting keeps coming on leaps & bounds!

Posted by: Bonq Oct 12 2016, 09:36 PM

loving Gaga's israeli by way of london accent

Posted by: Jonjo Oct 14 2016, 10:30 PM

What a season this has been so far! I think it's my favourite season yet. This weeks episode was genuinely terrifying, particularly the creature thing that took Flora out of Shelby's arms!

Very excited with where they're gonna go next. I don't know what else they can do with this story that won't feel like it's dragged on though...

Yes! Considering where she was when she first appeared in Hotel she's really developed. I'm impressed!

Posted by: Jonjo Oct 15 2016, 06:52 AM

Eh. I'm really not bothered about Gaga or her character in this, not gonna lie. Pretty much everyone else I am here for though. Well, except for Wes Bentley's character. But ofc, Lily Rabe won't get the Emmy awards, Gaga will etc..

Posted by: Mackenzie Oct 15 2016, 10:38 AM

So ready for the twist! Loved the season so far!

Posted by: 24k Cody Oct 15 2016, 10:28 PM

I hope the twist is Lily, Andre and Adina's characters still reliving the Roanoke stuff instead of Sarah/Cuba/Angela

Judging by the preview this seems very likely!!

Posted by: Jack Oct 16 2016, 10:05 PM

This is the best season for me at least since Coven! I really didn't enjoy the past two seasons but this is back on form, it feels new, fresh and exciting. I have no idea what could happen now going forward.

I think the Roanoke thing could continue but I low key thought when they were in the hotel, it might have started references to Hotel.

Posted by: LINDSΞY Oct 19 2016, 02:16 PM

I've caught up and I'm loving it, I'm guessing maybe they go back to the house for whatever reason (Lily saying "at least I never have to see that place again" kinda hinted at it)

Gaga's character seems interesting so I do hope we get more insight into her story, that could be a possibility in where it will develop. I just love Adina Porter so much, what an incredible actress tbh I really hope she continues to have quite a prominent role and maybe even appear in future seasons. I need more Evan too wub.gif

Posted by: princess_lotita Oct 20 2016, 04:19 PM

this season keeps getting better and better. SO impressed

Posted by: LINDSΞY Oct 20 2016, 04:24 PM

SARAHS CHARACTER THO

Posted by: Jonjo Oct 20 2016, 05:48 PM

Another brilliant episode. Probably the best one of the season, yet! Amazing all round. What if Kathy Bates butcher character was made up for "entertainment purposes", which is why she has gone mental and actually becomes the character that the show originally made up!

Way off, I'm sure, but loooove speculating haha.

Posted by: 24k Cody Oct 20 2016, 06:36 PM

EVAN IS A GINGER NOW

Posted by: LINDSΞY Oct 20 2016, 06:44 PM

WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO SAY

Posted by: 24k Cody Oct 20 2016, 06:46 PM

I didn't notice until around a few minutes into the episode

Posted by: Hypodermic Sally Oct 20 2016, 07:50 PM

Loved the most recent episode excited to see where this goes

Posted by: Jack Oct 20 2016, 10:24 PM

Loving the direction this is going in. I think it will be Lily Rabe's character who survives but we will see. Very clever and I love how different this series is.

Posted by: jase. Oct 21 2016, 01:44 AM

Now THAT is a twist which didn't disappoint. Absolutely incredible! Season 6 (unless something goes horribly wrong) is now officially my favourite season.

100% agreed!

Posted by: princess_lotita Oct 21 2016, 09:16 AM

Also agreed!

Murphy has said before this is split into three parts, 1-5, 6-9 and 10 ohmy.gif

Posted by: LINDSΞY Oct 21 2016, 02:29 PM

Oh I'm guessing everyone will be dead by the end of episode nine and episode ten will focus on the lone survivor in some way ohmy.gif

Posted by: Simon. Oct 21 2016, 02:48 PM

LOVE the twist and love ginger Evan wub.gif.

Posted by: jase. Oct 21 2016, 03:24 PM

Evan's face. I can't with how beautiful he is.

Posted by: 24k Cody Oct 21 2016, 04:46 PM

OMG imagine if everyone dies and the last survivor ends up being Cheyenne Jackson and he goes crazy like Elias did

Posted by: HΞDA FROM HΞLL Oct 27 2016, 12:49 PM

WHAT AN EPISODE OMG!!!

Probably my favourite so far and yea I think this is my favourite season so far too and I didn't think anything would top Asylum ohmy.gif

Posted by: DiamondHeart Oct 28 2016, 11:55 AM

I love the latest episode! This season hasn't had a bad episode, highlights each episode! Although Kathy Bates has to go, absolutely dreadful when it comes to accents

Posted by: Jack Oct 28 2016, 03:04 PM

I didn't really like the last episode sad.gif It felt a bit frantic editing wise and I really hate handheld camera shit. It feels like it is happening too fast, there isn't much suspense or buildup really.

Posted by: Cody Slayberry Nov 6 2016, 03:42 AM

After the bloodbath from last episode they gave us ANOTHER BLOODBATH. Getting SO TENSE. Rooting for Sarah Paulson to survive

Posted by: jase. Nov 7 2016, 12:42 AM

Sarah's constant screaming + "oh my god's" had me HOWLING with laughter rotf.gif

I've just got a feeling she'll be the last one standing!

Posted by: Jack Nov 11 2016, 11:37 PM

Well the latest episode was absolute pure bullshit.

Posted by: ʟɪɴᴅsᴇ Nov 12 2016, 10:54 AM

omg no I loved it, I mean apart from the part where Audrey was f***ing shot by police after surviving the 'three days in hell' but I am SO ready for the finale, the last episode was amazing imo and Adina Porter really showed how great an actress she is, I so hope they make her part of the regular cast, she's been vital in Roanoke and since she's only a guest start on The 100 and that's finishing next season, it seems possible ohmy.gif heart.gif

Posted by: Jack Nov 12 2016, 11:25 AM

I just can't stand the shaky camera angles, it just makes it annoying to watch. Then the whole her eating the heart thing and going psycho just didn't make sense at all to me and kind of ruined it as you could tell from that point she was going to be the one to survive.

Them bringing in those three fans of the show seemed completely pointless as well. Shame as I loved the previous episode.

Posted by: DiamondHeart Nov 12 2016, 11:46 AM

Episode Nine was certainly the worst episode this season, which is sad because the previous eight were all redeeming and productive. I agree Taissa's & Matt's involvement was useless. They should have focused on the final three survivors and slowly killed them one by one until there was the one final survivor, tieing up the Butcher/Shacath/Blood Moon narrative. I agree I think Adina would be a perfect addition to the main cast next season, totally remarkable how an actress I've never seen/heard of before has outperformed all the stars this year!

Posted by: Liаm Nov 18 2016, 01:34 AM

I bloody loved this season! It's easily the closest they've come to Asylum quality wise. I loved the different feel that it had to other seasons, it gave it a refreshing twist and I found it so tense. I was really invested in every episode and all the twists and turns right up until the end. The finale was a bit lacklustre compared to the rest though, I just feel like there were so many twists and turns there wasn't really anything left to do with the last one standing.

Adina Porter and Sarah Paulson stole the series, of course the latter is expected as she always slays but Adina was so so impressive.
