I was kind of interested but apparently the pilot is not spectacular and future eps go downhill. So I doubt I will bother. HBO don't do much for me these days, GoT aside.

Not really interested in an all-male main cast, but I commend HBO for taking that risk.

So 3 episodes in and I'm hooked! The visuals are absolutely amazing.

I saw the first episode, it didn't do much for me, I quickly turned off half way through.

I saw the first episode, it didn't do much for me, I quickly turned off half way through. I did the same but after reading the rave reviews I forced myself to re-watch, and my GOD I'm glad I did -------- The ending of episode 2 was f***ing creepy/horrifying/etc This post has been edited by jase.: 2nd March 2014, 02:20 AM |

One of my favourite shows this year! It's brilliant and the pacing is BANG ON. The one-shot in episode 4 is phenomenal! Only 8 episodes long, but it's all that will be needed. I love how dark it is and love how they're not afraid to use certain subject matters! Episode 5 is my favourite episode so far, but episode 6 was strong. Can't wait for the conclusion!

The finale was last night! Was it any good or has it disappointed? I'm watching it tonight and I'm really excited! It seemed like they needed quite a few things to tie up, but I'm really optimistic about this finale!

So the finale was amazing. Carcosa was so tense. The best new TV show I have seen for some time - this is absolutely the new critics darling. Emmy nominations and wins across the board (apart from one final token to Breaking Bad).

Agreed completely! That's how you do a thriller, detective show! The finale was so tense and there weren't as many loose ends as I remembered. Everything was handled the best way it could have been. It's a shame this will be up against the final season of 'Breaking Bad' for most of the award shows this year as it really does deserve to get recognition.
I'm not sure about Season 2 (different characters and all that), but as long as they keep the tension, suspense and pacing similar to this Season (including that one shot!), I'm going to be on board for as long as I possibly can be. |

It was just a really intelligent show, it made you think and the bad guy, really was a monster that had gone through so much abuse from his family. I expect this will do very well at the Emmys. Bryan Cranston will probably win Best Lead Actor. It just depends what episode they submit to the panel for performances, because Breaking Bad will submit Ozymandias, which is just about the best episode of television ever produced. |

Saw this show in the Summer holidays and I loved it. I really appreciate its dark and mysterious vibes.
