Obviously I want Barnet to win it but I have a bad feeling The Gas will do it. sad.gif

Who do you think will win it and who would you prefer to win it?

As Bristol Rovers are my closet team, I would like to see them promoted. Their problem has been too many draws and a lack of goalscorers. However, I think Barnet will finish top of the league, because they have been more ruthless than Rovers.

Wouldn't fancy them in the playoffs either, but that's another debate.

I have no preference really. Probably Bristol Rovers on the basis that they're a traditional football league club, and not a yo-yo like Barnet!

I think Barnet will do it. They're at home and Gateshead don't have anything to play for so they should do enough. I'd prefer them to do just because of the fact I'm still bitter Matty Taylor rejected us after the loan and joined Bristol Rovers.

Barnet just 15 minutes away from returning to the Football League currently leading 2-0 against Gateshead.

There's a few Bristol Rovers fans at work who went today, apparently there was an 11,000 attendance ohmy.gif That's insane for non-league. Seems Barnet got promoted with the minimum of fuss in the end.

Local derby in the playoffs between Bristol Rovers and Forest Green Rovers. The other semi will be between Grimsby and Eastleigh.

Hoping Grimsby go up - we need some more Northern teams in League 2!

Poole v Corby Town in the Southern League got 2,200 today which is a fantastic crowd for a game two tiers below the Conference. Sadly, Corby won, so they win the title and Poole have to go in to the play-offs. There's still a chance of a Bournemouth and Poole double though!

Their previous best this season was 1200. However, that was against Weymouth who are not far away. Generally, they get up to 500 or so.

When I moved here (1997), Poole had recently equalled the record number of successive defeats for a semi-professional club. Yes, they were so shit that they couldn't even break a record successfully laugh.gif After 39 successive defeats, they drew the 40th match to win their only point of the season. It's fair to say they have improved since then.

500 is a very solid attendance for the Southern League, apparently the average for the division is 250 so Poole are doing well! The team doing so well this year can only have helped that, although pricing is key too.

39 consecutive defeats though laugh.gif That must get to the point where even a narrow defeat seems like a win! Wonder if that record's ever been broken.

I'm afraid it has laugh.gif AFC Aldermaston lost 40 successive matches in the Wessex League Division One (two levels below the Southern League) . They almost failed. It was 0-0 in the 86th minute but Aldermaston still managed to lose 2-0 laugh.gif

Poole won the Wessex League Premier Division for three successive seasons before they were finally allowed to be promoted.

Play off Final today at Wembley between Bristol Rovers and Grimsby Town. Two former Football League stalwarts looking to escape non-league. Predictions?

I hope Rovers win, the whole area has been teeming with Rovers shirts and flags recently. laugh.gif

Hoping for a Grimsby Town victory today, I agree we need more Northern teams in that division. Also it is a lot closer than Bristol Rovers for a Carlisle fan to get to the game... angel.gif
