Really really pleased at the choices at 22 and 28 but shaking my head at number 33! The Fraggles wos robbed (but more so the Wedding Present)!

to be fair Abba is enormously famous and the fraggles err isn't. The wedding present were pretty obscure at the time and haven't become more widely known since.

So yay for Abba! laugh.gif

I'm just going on the quality of the song.

Besides, The Wedding Present had 12 hits in 1992 (which is a record for planned releases), that's not very obscure is it?

(oops sorry mod hit wrong button to reply here)

Sorry bout the extra bit above. Wedding present didn't get airplay much and the 12 releases tended to just get the odd chart play sadly. Abba have at least 5 million fans some of whom will like it laugh.gif

I suppose I tend to think of success on alternative act scales. To even get in the charts during the late 80s showed an alternative band was comparatively huge. But, yes, they can't compete with Abba's fanbase then or now wink.gif
