So this is my second-ever attempt at a top 40, and it's a busy one. Ciara's "I Bet" blasts to #1, knocking OMI's "Cheerleader" down to #2. We see a new top-ten with Adam Lambert's "Ghost Town". And further down we see a literal truckload of debuts clearing out nearly half the chart.

The highest of the fifteen debuts is Tinashe's "All Hands on Deck" at #12. Tinashe has two other debuts this week: "Feels Like Vegas" at #16 and "2 On" at #20. So that's three top-20s for her out the gate. (Basically, I listened to Aquarius many, many times this week.) We also see top-20 debuts from Sam Hunt ("Take Your Time") and Major Lazer ("Lean On"), and Kelly Clarkson's "Invincible" climbs 13 spots to enter the region at #15.

In the bottom half of the chart, Tove Lo charts two "new" (ie. new because this chart is new) entries with "Got Love" and current single "Talking Body", just above the debut of Fetty Wap's "Trap Queen". And the bottom quarter is swamped with debuts; we need not list them all. Since my chart is new, I think numerous debuts will be a regular thing for a while as I rotate through all the music I'd already been listening to anyway before I started the chart.

Among the holdovers from last week, Andy Grammer's "Honey, I'm Good." is the Climber of the week (mostly because my local station absolutely hammers it; I, uh, do not care for it much) and Grimes' "REALiTi" is the week's Free Faller.

Flashback: Janet Jackson – All for You (2001)

[US #1, CA #1, NZ #2, PL #1, UK #3]

I've been looking back through Janet's discography in light of her impending new music. I'm really only familiar with her late '90s/early '00s material (because of when I was born and stuff), but this is still a bop.

(the video disappeared from YouTube fsr so you'll have to make do with the audio)
