After 2 sets of votes 17 songs have points and an unlucky 13 remain unloved, the Poison Ivy of Batman’s bad girls. I’m going to say it - it’s outrageous, they all should have points by now! OK mathematically impossible, but hey ho. So, taking the lead it’s TOPS, who, quite literally, are. A Montreal band, and continuing our world Top 3 tour, Canada join Australia’s Preachers and in joint runners-up it’s Aqua Vitae, a bit of classical class from Future World Music. Country? Yes, my track is the 1970’s all-girl punk band The Runaways who had world-wide flopdom (except Japan) with the terrific Cherry Bomb. Well, they had the last laugh, Lita Ford had a Rock career after the split, and Joan Jett went on to have a worldwide monster hit (I love Rock ‘n’ Roll) and a string of others in the States. Best of all, Cherry Bomb featured heavily in fab Box Office smash Guardians Of The Galaxy. Apparently that impresses nobody but me though!

Lone's song was one of only 2 songs I knew that I knew already before the contest (the other was 'Murmurs' but on listening I realised I'd heard 'Alaska' already as well, as a BJSC potential IIRC). Good choice titty! Hoping 'Meeker Warm Energy' can pick up a bit from where it is now.

Ephera have a 10-point lead now over Grechko and HALOS, who swap places, and things are starting to spread out a bit! Lane 8 and Lone shuffle up a bit, or Lois Lane and Lone Wolf (Timber Wolf) as Legion fans might refer to them. There’s also now a bit of gap between 19 and those below. The big news is Pizeta remove themselves from the Shrinking Violet end of the chart and go up to 24. That can only mean poor ol’ Indi and The Vegas are falling into a lonely black hole of despair. Will there be no Sun Boy coming along to light up their darkness?!

Grr so close to holding onto 2nd ~ NONETHELESS, new peak for me after my crappy finishes in the last few contests, couldn't really have gone any better! Especially pleasing as it was a rather risky entry while my previous best (Prides 'Out Of The Blue') was quite a 'safe' choice. T.O.L.D. really dominating the field there, no one else had a chance

Really fantastic top 10 there in the end overall, I voted for every one of those songs except for myself (obviously) and Anna Of The North which I wasn't massively into but it was okay.

YES RISER, now that is a way to finish Very surprised with 2nd place but I'm very glad that most of you took to the wonderful retro vibes like I did. Very strong top 10 overall, think I liked/really liked all of them to some extent. A shame to see Outside & Aqua Vitae's points dry up a bit though (and Bea so low, the puppy in the video alone should've got it top 10 ;(), thank for hosting John!

Wow. I made it all the way to 6th place before dropping.

Considering there were so many strong songs 16th is ok. I'm never going to win this thing.

TOLD is still very good but made up of three things - Bastille Vocals,XX instrumentation and Calvin Harris at his most low key on production.

Pity Lydia didn't run away with this. By far the most interesting thing in the competition and I will be keeping an eye on her for future releases.

thanks everybody for joining in too, I think every song underperformed (bar one - the winner!) from sheer competition, usually there's quite a few I'm not bothered about at all, but I actively liked all of them.
