What retro gaming have you done recently?

I’ve just bought myself the NES mini which got its release in 2016 following from its success in the late 80’s, and it’s my first Nintendo purchase in 10 years since I bought a DS Lite. I think I’m going to spend a few hours going through all of the preinstalled games on there and relive old memories!

Next I will be looking to get myself the SNES mini which was released last year. Again, lots of old faves to rediscover on there!

What retro gaming have you done or do you enjoy?

I bought my dad the Atari a few years back for Christmas (the new version with built in games) and he said it took him back to his childhood and was very pleased with it. I was going to get the mini SEGA Megadrive but they sold out VERY quickly and I’ve not had chance to go back and look again. laugh.gif

A lot of people agree with me that new technology has made today's games stand out from the rest. This allows them to give gamers an experience they won't soon forget. Yet, retro gaming is still going strong, even though it's been a while. Is it true that after a short time, people start playing new games, but then go back to playing old games?

Quite a few retro games have been released on the switch. Spyro is one and crash bandicoot. I also have bubble bobble and want Pac-Man. The retro games are more simple but still addictive to play.

I still have my game boy and I played super Mario land 1 & 2 and wario land. Forgot what great games they are. I remember the final boss on the first super Mario land being so easy to beat
