Some news on the second season of A Series of Unfortunate Events today! It will be released in Spring 2018, so looking at the calendar, I would put all my money on Friday 13th April! This season will focus on Books 5-9 aka The Austere Academy, The Ersatz Elevator, The Vile Village and The Hostile Hospital! It means we get to see for the first time ever the icons that are Carmelita Spats, Esmé Squalor and the Quaqmire Triplets *.*

There's a trailer on Netflix but it doesn't seem to be on YouTube yet
 BUT the release date is March 30th! They could have waited two weeks to release on Friday 13th again tho!!! |

Starting to rewatch the first season, I really hope we get to see more of Mr Poe’s wife in this season, she cracks me up! ‘He’s right, no one asked the Bauldalaire’s’. *shows the front page of Bauldalaire mansion on fire* ‘I thought it would cheer them up!’

I am so excited for this, I have been patient for a year waiting!!!
My favourite books left are the Austere Acadamy, the Hostile Hospital and the Slippery Slope so the fact I am getting to see 2 of them as well as the Carnivorous Carnival (Which is my fav book cover) is so exciting! I am still shaking @ Carmelita |

I was so bored throughout the Austere Academy but I'm pleased to say the first episode of the Ersatz Elevator is a big step up - the dialogue is great
|

I enjoyed the introduction of the triplets but the rest of it really did just feel like the same story being replayed again from the first three episodes - which was really disappointing as I was expecting so much more from the setting.
I am LOVING Esmé Squalor though! *.* |

Both The Austere Academy and Ersatz Elevator have been fantastic! The latter in particular has been a real great change of pace, imo. Esme is iconic *.*

Carnivorous Carnival was by far my favourite book adaption. I am still in shock at them making Madame Lulu the librarian and her death actually really made me sad

I've only seen the Austere Academy and Ersazt Elevator so far but this has been just as good if not better than the first series!
The new characters are so over exaggerated it hurts, but it's all part of the zany fun (I don't think I got round to reading these books so this is actually all new to me)
