Given what the Nazis did to Russia in WW2, it's hardly logical that Putin would want to *encourage* Far Right groups! Surely Farage is less dangerous fishing for sharks, than leading UKIP? Logic has f*** all to do with dictators. Sharks on the verge of extinction might hold a different view. On behalf of them as their IT skills are limited, "f*** Farage". |

...and the movement towards being pawns of rich corrupt American interests is really moving on:
"Carole Cadwalladr There you go. And the day after he got the go-ahead to take over Sky. Happy Murdoch day, everyoneCarole Cadwalladr added, Kevin Maguire Verified account @Kevin_Maguire Word is Murdoch’s fixed a Trump interview with The Sun after arranging one for The Times(Michael Gove did it on a Cabinet break). US Pres planning PR counter attack to London’s huge inflatable orange nappied baby" Trump has slagged off the UK PM, told the UK what to do, and threatened her with Trade deals and virtually said Boris The Twat should be PM because he is Trump's sort of person (a rich twat). Oh, also that the Mayor Of London is useless, NATO is shite and Putin is just f***ing gorgeous. Well done, Brexiteers, welcome to the new United States Of Kingdom as Murdoch gets carte blanche to push his propaganda. Hopefully Europe will not agree to allowing his Future Fox news network into European broadcasting as the UK is no longer part of the EU. NOW do you understand why people are protesting? |

Actually it’s perfectly logical when you look at the full picture without your far-right rose tinted glasses Far-right groups are typically eurosceptic and their advancement destabilises a country to such an extent that it is consumed by its own internal politics. This weakens the European Union which is Putin’s aim. Putin is unhappy the EU now has great levels of influence behind what was the iron curtain and that former Soviet states are lining up to try and become EU members. Russia’s influence on these countries is diminishing because it only cares about how these countries can help Russia and not vice versa, whereas they see the EU as a route to prosperity and advancement. Likely because the EU actively invests in the poorer regions to help their infrastructure development and their high standards when it comes to a whole myriad of things that impact our daily lives such as product safety and workers rights. Putin views anything that will undermine the EU and NATO as his ally and thus Russia actively supports Trump and Neo-Nazi’s like UKIP, FN and AfD. |

UKIP are *not* Neo-Nazis - they would never have gained the levels of support they had, if voters believed for a second that they were! |

Oh yes, because fascists come in waving Nazi flags openly. The Nazis did - it's one of histories ultimate ironies that they were just about the only political party in history that did exactly what they promised - so I think the phrase 'be careful what you wish for' applies here! |

Um. No.
Let us take a brief look at the emergence of the Nazi Party as an electoral force. Due to no internet but the rise of radio, Hitler was able to go from region to region, city to cty, promising different things to different people. Brexit managed that in the modern age by promising everything to everyone at the same time and not being challenged on it. Nazis got in primarily by promising to fix the economy and through targeted messaging, not through OPENLY declaring themselves as fascists. |

Is this entire thread just vidcapper purposefully ignoring points and making a semi-unrelated counter argument?
The Nazi's didn't just appear declaring fascism - it didn't happen overnight. It's not difficult to research that. It's also hard to argue that there isn't an underlying theme of white supremacy amongst UKIP and other right-wing groups. |

But it was OK when Corbyn did that, last year? ...and there you go comparing Hitler and Corbyn. Much as I loathe Corbyn, I mean, honestly. He's not in power, how the f*** do you know what he would or wouldnt have done? May, on the other hand promised Strong & Stable, and a million other things, none of which she has delivered. AKA a change of subject with a ridiculous premise because you are too lazy to google Nazi Germany and pay attention to historical lessons. |

Is there no-one on this forum who is on my side? [OK, there is PeaceMob, but he doesn't how up much...] Anybody who would admit to being on your side would be implicated in having to support some of your blatantly provably wrong statements. Who wants to be thought wrong all the time....? |

Right, closing this thread. Let's hope we get more light than heat the next time we discuss Europe.
