Radio 1 seriously need to stop with this jumping on board with songs way too late bullshit. Haven't they just learned with Rihanna? They'll probably playlist Disclosure next month

Yeh the disclosure one is a joke, top 40 in the mids but it'll fall soon enough without airplay. You'd think they are nearly doing it on purpose because disclosure are a big chart friendly artist that radio 1 probably thought they'd put a pre order up so maybe they are doing it just to teach the record company a lesson. It's stupid tho, there's nothing to stop then adding any artist high up the playlist and others near the bottom like radio 2 do.
Incidentally 6 music added Bang That straight away last month. This post has been edited by steve201: 3rd June 2015, 09:37 PM |

yeah, Radio 1 really need to learn how to deal with OA/OS releases properly. See also them adding Kanye's songs and Rihanna's BBHMM too late.

Maybe they don't want to playlist every generic Avicii song?

Krept & Konan! Glad to see I'm not the only one happy about this. Love Freak of the Week, such a summer banger. Hopefully now they'll break through.
Kiko Bun's song is brilliant too, pure reggae vibes |

Lost Frequencies should be safe from being another 'I'm An Albatraoz'/'Fade Out Lines'/probably 'Sun Goes Down'/seemingly 'Five More Hours'/etc case then, good. I still think it should've been playlisted at least 3 months ago (or even August 2014 when it first came out) instead of sucking up to labels as they always do, but at least it's not completely lost to time.
I really like 'Let It Go' for some reason so good to see him still happening. I will retract that when it stays in the top 40 for the rest of the year and his 7th single off the album is A-listed at Christmas 2016. |

I'm so pleased 'Beautiful to Me' is still on the B list, with how it performed on iTunes rebounding up after 'Britain's Got Talent' and then crashing back down to the 100's I was worried - especially since the EP's not out for another week yet.
