Bacon.

He should've recorded a track called "all you f***ing w*n**rs...". Missed opportunity there no.gif

Posted by: Liаm Mar 24 2016, 02:39 PM

Can't wait for this, the last album was great and from the clip Close sounds like it'll be a great start for the era wub.gif

It features in the middle 8 of 'Unhinged'.

He doesn't waste any time but I think he will be a one hit wonder.

Posted by: lewistgreen Mar 24 2016, 04:06 PM

Actual excitement for this! His previous album was brilliant.

Posted by: Martyn Mar 24 2016, 05:15 PM

What the hell is this album title?

Posted by: Alejandjob Mar 24 2016, 06:42 PM

Bacon.

What the hell is this album title?

He went through a breakup during writing the album hence the title

Posted by: Regina Mar 24 2016, 07:25 PM

And he couldn't have come up with anything better?

Posted by: Ja˙ Mar 24 2016, 07:47 PM

I think the title is quirky sounding, I like it. We've heard none of the tracks, so the title could be an excellent fit with the overall theme of the album, lyrically.

Here's the artwork:

For one of the hottest young pop stars out there, they could have picked a better picture drama.gif

I like the title though! And yes on Ty Dollar Sign being on Bacon. Please be Nick's Work From Home!

Hottest popstar alive, I can't wait for this album wub.gif

It will clearly be a reply to it, lyrics should contain "Even when i work from home, I still bring home the bacon, bacon, bacon, bacon, bacon, bacon"

Deluxe Edition includes:

Testify
When We Get Home (feat. Daniella Mason)
That's What They All Say
Jealous
Chains
Levels

Just cannot let go of the previous era laugh.gif

Him and Meghan Trainor both have songs on their forthcoming albums titled 'Champagne Problems'.

Could've picked a better image. I wish he'd keep the Boon look tbh.

Posted by: Davidson Apr 14 2016, 02:29 PM

Did this pass everyone by?

I like it but it is maybe a tad overproduced.

Posted by: Joe. Apr 14 2016, 02:31 PM

I really like it. Close is a lot better though, obviously.

Posted by: KWEEN_DEE Apr 14 2016, 02:57 PM

He only released it early cus songwriter-of-the-moment Meghan Trainor has a song with the same title and he wanted to look like he had it first.

Posted by: Rossco Apr 15 2016, 10:00 AM

I would have gone with Chanpagne Problems as the lead single. It's far superior to Close in my opinion.

Posted by: Alejandjob Apr 16 2016, 04:17 PM

Is Closer doing anything or is it a Levels?

Yep, it's doing really well in streaming so should make the top 40 next week. As slow as American charts are, it seems to be doing well there, too.

Posted by: mr_pmt Apr 16 2016, 04:53 PM

'Champagne Problems' to me sounds like an improved 'Levels'. I can see it growing on me more as well.

Posted by: Jonjo Apr 17 2016, 12:29 AM

He's on Saturday Night Live tonight, so hopefully that can help out 'Close' over there.

Posted by: Jack Apr 19 2016, 05:41 PM

'Close' is one of the best songs of the year for me. I really like how subtle it is and he works really well with Tove Lo too.

Posted by: Karma Apr 20 2016, 02:52 PM

I like Nick Jonas, and i may have said this before, but definitely the worst album title I've heard of in a long while. huh.gif

Close is okay at the moment for me.

Posted by: pippa Apr 21 2016, 06:28 PM

It is a strange album name but i would feel a possible honest name.

Posted by: Jimmy Jam Apr 21 2016, 08:22 PM

I really like the album name biggrin.gif

Loving Close, and Champagne Problems as well! Loved his last album, so I'm excited for this

Posted by: Liаm Jun 4 2016, 01:43 PM

Bacon is a bit of a tune but wtf are the lyrics rotf.gif

The clips sound really disappointing though, it all sounds quite samey.

Posted by: Joe. Jun 7 2016, 07:43 AM

I'm loving Bacon, I really like how it builds and the beat creeps in. The video is on Tidal now.

Posted by: Joe. Jun 10 2016, 03:04 PM

Album is out now. #1 on American iTunes but struggling on UK iTunes due to, bizarely, no front page promo unless you swipe or search for it.

The album is strong. 3.5/5 for me on a first listen, these are the standouts:

Bacon
Comfortable
Under You
Touch
Champagne Problems
Chainsaw
Close

It's a bit too long but the overall vibe is cohesive and focused. Chainsaw is still one of my favourites, but I really don't think he should be releasing it as a second single, it could totally kill the campaign. I feel as though Bacon or Under You would be better choices.

Posted by: Liаm Jun 10 2016, 03:28 PM

Josepvinaixa said Under You is second not Chainsaw biggrin.gif

Oh thank god! Much better choice, hopefully Bacon next.

Posted by: Liаm Jun 12 2016, 04:40 PM

This is an album of two halves pretty much. Voodoo up to Bacon are all great, as is Under You and the rest are just meh. Close, Bacon, Voodoo and Under You are definitely the highlights though (and the last album's singles if you count them as they're on the deluxe kink.gif).

Posted by: Regina Jun 13 2016, 12:01 PM

After months of hating his music, I decided to give this a spin, and kinda love some of it. laugh.gif Damn.

Posted by: lewistgreen Jun 13 2016, 09:23 PM

Posted by: mr_pmt Jun 16 2016, 06:18 PM

I love this new single! It's like the perfect sequel to 'Jealous'.

Posted by: crazymonster Jul 1 2016, 07:30 PM

When I heard live performance by Nick... i think was VMA performance and I really loved "Close". The video is kind of "Elastic Heart" by Sia...

Posted by: lewistgreen Oct 20 2016, 05:33 PM

Posted by: mr_pmt Oct 20 2016, 06:46 PM

Pretty crap really. What happened to the release of the brilliant 'Under You'? First 'Teacher' from the last album and now this. cry.gif

Plus 'Champagne Problems' is more worthy than this also.

Posted by: Joe. Oct 20 2016, 07:33 PM

His era is a mess. Stanning Joe now anyway.

Posted by: Cameron Oct 20 2016, 07:56 PM

Yeah, I am feeling this era he has no idea what to release. Close was fantastic but it seems all the other tracks are pretty meh so he's releasing videos to see what ones are more popular laugh.gif

Posted by: lewistgreen Nov 7 2016, 12:43 PM

Pumping out the vids like there's no tomorrow...
