For a second I thought we'd finally be sharing a #1 'When We Were Young' is worthy though, and 'Send My Love' is very music Watching Carrie's XF performance was just surreal That was my first listen to 'Heartbeat' and it didn't leave a huge impression, but wow what a moment (and maybe it will grow~). 'Take Me Home'...is underwhelming. An understandable single choice for sure because of the time of year and Children In Need etc. but it doesn't click with me. Hoping for 'Why Me' next, or anything less bland really. Last but not least, your 'Fuel To The Fire' chart run is a division problem! Excellent (though lacking in overlap) bai |

Hi Noah
Adele taking up your top 2 spots I do like her but always sound like a massive hater compared to everyone else on here. For me, she never really does anything exciting or new and it all sounds like we've heard it before. I'll listen to her album when it's on Spotify but won't be spending money on it. Music to My Soul is actually so catchy, was not expecting to like it and even started off laughing at his XF performance when he blended into a flower wall like what is this but by the end I was properly jamming, he has one of those really catchy voices that just makes all songs good. Heartbeat is quite nice, I'm not going to lie, I would've like to see a lot of other artists on XF instead of her but she performed it nicely and it has a decent chorus, might not hesitate to listen to future singles now. Glad to I'll Show You doing the best of the tracks on the album officially, really hoping it is a future single, I love the production on it and it's a much better downtempo than Love Yourself. Can't fault his choice there though seeing as he has 3 #1s now Love chart! |

It's interesting that people's favourites from '25' seemingly vary so much - I've seen/heard almost every track named as the highlight! 'Million Years Ago' hasn't connected with me as yet but I really like the very bluesy, stripped-back feel of it. Reminds me of 'Lovesong' on '21' in that way. I know right, CeeLo's gone and released an absolute bop which even got XF exposure and nobody seems to care. I've always found Fleur's tone quite unpleasant and strained so hearing her album doesn't really interest me. I can't imagine anything on it topping 'Sax' though - an out-and-out smash tailor-made for her. Can't think of a more perfect debut single for anyone ever in that regard. Would be great to see 'Your Type' get some radio support. A very touching song and sentiment (but wouldn't have thought of it as a ballad really! ). I feel the same re: 'Honey Whiskey'. A huge standout from the tracks I hadn't heard on the album (which weren't many, but still)! Great to see someone else appreciating it. Yeah I'd like 'Army' to do decently for the sake of 'Delirium'/Ellie in general but I'm kind of over it already. I can see what her team were going for with a winter release but it's just pretty unremarkable and there are much better songs on the album. Haha, Justin's level of success is astounding. A year ago he was widely seen as an arrogant, spoilt irritant/criminal who made crap music for teenage girls and Glad 'Stitches' is finally poised for UK success - the fall here might look like I'm over it but it's more that I haven't heard or sought it out lately. Still love it. <3 I'd agree re: Coldplay, but then I've loved the singles from their most recent albums as much as their earlier stuff. Thanks for all the comments. Hoping for 'Why Me' next, or anything less bland really. Last but not least, your 'Fuel To The Fire' chart run is a division problem! Excellent (though lacking in overlap) bai Hi there, I take it your comments for my October chart got lost in the mail. Ah, I'm glad you think 'When We Were Young' is a worthy #1 as I thought you mightn't have been keen on it at all ! Not sure I could have dealt with that level of unwavelengthness as it's just so beautiful. Yeah I was impressed by Carrie's performance on XF - definitely helped the song connect more with me. Really shouldn't have taken her this long to garner some mainstream attention over here, especially as she has plenty of material with far more crossover/hit potential, but such is the UK's country phobia . I wouldn't see it as bland but I largely agree with you re: 'Take Me Home'. Nothing particularly interesting or inventive about it though the chorus melody is quite gorge. Gah, a beautiful chart-run pattern in my very own chart ! The song's gonna have to depart next month so as not to ruin it though. ty goodnight good morning bai Hi Noah, 01 | ** | Adele | When We Were Young Adele 02 | 09 | Adele | Hello [09-02] Hello, Its 03 | 01 | Ellie Goulding | Something In The Way You Move [01-03] Tune 04 | ** | Chairlift | Ch-Ching Chairlift 05 | ** | Cloves | Everybody's Son I LOVED this 06 | 02 | Naughty Boy ft. I'm chuffed that you enjoyed 'Everybody's Son' so much as sharing songs I love is my favourite aspect of BJSC. And it's particularly great to hear good feedback for this one as a lot of people didn't seem to appreciate it at all, poor heartless hens. Oh wow, you need to get on 'Water Under the Bridge' pronto - undeniably catchy song and hopefully a future single. Yay, I didn't realise 'Honey Whiskey' would be an album standout for others, and I know how big a fan you are of the band so that means a great deal. Thanks! |

What a domination from Adele and Ellie Goulding! Nice new entries from Taylor and Justin but man, what a drop for Stitches.

Yeah, 'Hello' deserves all the attention it's been getting. Such a gigantic music moment and defining chorus of the year. I'd be really interested to see how things would have gone had 'Something...' led 'Delirium' instead of 'On My Mind'. Sounds like an obvious big hit to me, and yep I haven't tired of 'Runnin'' at all yet. Re: 'Love Me Like You', the live performances of that song made me realise just how vocally talented the four of them are individually and together. I like that they all get decent solo parts between the two verses. I've liked both Foxes' singles (haven't heard the new one) but yeah she hasn't produced anything essential since 'Youth' IMO. Haha, my reaction to the single announcement for 'Out of the Woods' was very much a *.*.*.*.*.* *plays it enough times to re-enter my chart at #49*-type affair. <33333 Thank you! Hi Noah Adele taking up your top 2 spots I do like her but always sound like a massive hater compared to everyone else on here. Hey Josh! That's fair enough re: Adele, though obviously I disagree . I think in general she manages to fuse influences and genres (pop/soul/R&B/folk/country etc.) in inventive ways throughout her material and underpins it all with knockout vocals, lyrical depth and heaps of raw emotion, so in that way I feel she definitely innovates and excites regularly. I personally can't see how 'Rolling In The Deep' in particular could be seen as anything but fresh and unique at the time of its release. I do think 'Hello' is very safe in comparison, but just executes what it intends to do perfectly. CeeLo's flower suit and flower wall . I'm so glad I didn't miss or skip over his performance that day as I wouldn't have encountered the song, and I guess I have the flower aesthetic to thank for that. Carrie seems to always deliver excellent performances so I was more than happy to see her on XF, especially having had such limited exposure in the UK. I obviously like 'Heartbeat' but it wouldn't come close to 'Blown Away' in my affections. <3 Yeah, 'I'll Show You' has been growing on me the most out of the newer Justin tracks. Awesome production as you said and the video's pretty cool too, given how cheap it must have been to make! Thanks for commenting! What a domination from Adele and Ellie Goulding! Nice new entries from Taylor and Justin but man, what a drop for Stitches. Hey, thanks for the comments and welcome to the site by the way. Only right that Adele and Justin are making big moves here when they're dominating everywhere else! And 'Stitches' only dropped due to not having played or heard it much - I'd expect a small climb next month with it hopefully becoming a (radio) hit over here. |
