Debut single from Julia Michaels called "Issues", which will be released on January 13.
Excited for this! Loved her on 'Carry Me' and she's written so many great songs over the past year or so!
Intrigued! She has a great voice so will definitely check this out, hope it can be as good as her fellow Kygo feature artists Conrad Sewell and Maty Noyes
I've been following her work since her collabs with Borgeous so her solo stuff should be interestingdibs for BJSC
Coming for that The Saturdays cover.
It does amuse me when these songwriters give solo music a go... like Bonnie Perry or w/e her name was.
You could listen to a snippet of the track https://twitter.com/imjmichaels/status/818559309344751617.
Sounds like she gives all her best songs away to other people.
I smell a remix coming
It's quite good. Was hoping for a bit better but the clip kind of deflated my interest quite a bit already!
I'm liking this a fair bit! I think she's capable of better, particularly going by her writing credits, but it's a nice little pop song regardless.
excellently written and produced; it just lacks a chorus!
a great introduction...now bring it!
upgrading this to f***ING EXCELLENT
really clever pop
Echoing UV and Joseph, she's capable of much better. It just doing go.
I'm really loving this, it's definitely a grower but once it hits you.. it's there.
I don't know why but I was expecting a banger from her so I was surprised by the tempo, but I'm fully onboard.
This is absolutely incredible It would have been easy for her to do a pop banger like the songs she writes, but I agree with Jake this is such a clever little song. The intricacies in the melodies really drew me in, it did take a few listens but I fully adore this now. It's not a hit but I am very impressed!
Lmao at this becoming a hit?? I mean there aren't many songs I dislike but this is definitely one of them, so boring
Haven't listened to this but I have noticed it showing good signs of becoming a hit. Is it any good?
I couldn't at the time
This is quite nice!
very good. it's so infectious
this continues to be sfg AND maybe a hit? who thought it? if r1 get onboard then quids in...
Looking set to enter the official top 40 this week!
Just went top 10 on iTunes UK
Not far off in the US too!
This is fast becoming one of my faves of the year so far It's so simple but it feels like there's something new to take from the melody or meaning each listen, I'm so glad it's climbing iTunes. #6 atm, hopefully it holds up for a couple of weeks while it climbs on iTunes and the Ed/Drake fest dies down so she can get top 10 officially.
#4 on iTunes!
no wonder she wanted to keep this for herself it's 🤗
For me this is unlistenable.
I'm surprised she's doing as well as she is, it's quite unconventional and sounds more like a blog hit than a chart hit.
I do like it and listen to it a couple of times a week, but something about it has stopped me from completely loving it so far.
It's being pushed very well. Her label/her idk can probably afford it due to the amount of smash hits she has written!
Well it is a major label release (Polydor, owned by Universal)
Oh I thought she was with a small label
This song is so irritating.
That has literally no relevancy to this song or thread, no need for that
Hated it - Overrated - Ok, this is growing - Could do with a remix to boost it a bit, but it's getting better - Good, still need a remix - f*** the remix - INCREDIBLE.
Literally the timeline of how I feel listening to this song! Such a stunning song!
It is amazing how this grew I did really like it anyway but it's in my top 5 of the year so far now, as I've said I think it's one of those songs where you find something new every listen or a new meaning to one of the lyrics and you just want to listen again, and you get sucked in more and it grows and grows. This song just doesn't quit *.*
Isn't it becoming a big hit in America too? *.*
I really don't see the appeal tbh. :meh:
Top 10 in the mids
8 in the mids
Top 5 incoming I think!
Love it!
New peak on the Billboard Hot 100! Up to 11!
Persistent usage on this series' X Factor.
Sean and Conor Price 'sang' it on Saturday.
Cancelation, or consolation?
I don't know what you're talking about
Received a Grammy Award nomination for SONG OF THE YEAR!
