Omg YES!!

Again this is a track that Steps could sing to! It's cheesy and dated. The fact that fans - only on the forums - thinks this rivals her big songs amd vids is pretty LOL. It's just boring now. Just Dance sounds so much fresher.

You seriously overuse the word "cheesy" because there is literally NOTHING cheesy about this song whatsoever lmao

You implying only forum fans think it "rivals her big songs and vid" when it IS one of her big songs and IS one of her most well known videos is a bit...odd laugh.gif

The lyrics will be timeless at least. It cuts deep into the world of celebrity and fandoms.

Third UK
But fourth in some territories wasn’t it?

LoveGame was after Paparazzi here but I think in the US it was the other way around.

Paparazzi? When most of the RedOne productions from The Fame are right there?

Absolutely not. It doesn't sound current, but it doesn't sound dated in the same way LoveGame or Just Dance etc do.

QUOTE(Jay ☆ @ Aug 6 2019, 05:34 PM) *
Not at all! If anything I think Paparazzi is the one single from The Fame that doesn’t particularly scream “2009”. Not that I think this quality that the other singles possess is a bad thing. I love that a listen of Poker Face takes me back to that year!

QUOTE(dandy* @ Aug 6 2019, 05:58 PM) *
Definitely not! It's the one that's aged the best from the original Fame era.

Absolutely agree with these posts. I love The Fame and it being of its time does not affect my enjoyment of the album at all, but 'Paparazzi' definitely feels like the most 'ageless' of the songs. Feels like a strange song to identify as having aged badly.

I was never a huge fan of the song at the time but it's definitely crept up as one of my favourites since. The VMAs video is everything.

Nope. I agree that I feel like it's the one that's aged the least from the debut era. Also, those that are saying yes (except for Michael) are you confusing "sounding dated" with "gotten tired & bored of it"? ohmy.gif (P.s. genuine question didn't mean it as any sort of shade aha - fair enough though I guess tongue.gif)

Absolutely not, and I certainly agree that the rest of that era's singles have aged moreso than this has.

Not at all, it's aged the best out of all The Fame singles!

“While a lot of Gaga's first album The Fame hasn't aged too well, 'Paparazzi' still sounds fresh, experimental and completely immediate, like all good pop songs should. It's a class act. “

Quote taken from this article from just before Perfect Illusion come out. They ranked Paparazzi as her second best single behind Bad Romance which was #1 (although LoveGame, Eh Eh and G.U.Y weren’t on the list lol shade)
