Fantastic top 3. Really hoping Gotye can take over the #1 from fun. with the extra promo from The Voice and Glee which has given him a huge lead on iTunes.
Good to see Calvin still climbing but he's well and truly gone and done a Tinie, let's just hope his next single (presumably 'Let's Go') doesn't bomb as hard as 'Till I'm Gone' did Big climb for Rumour Has It, it's not quite taking off as quickly as I thought it would but it is making its way up there and should easily give her at least a fourth top ten hit. Another new peak for Ellie, hopefully it can break the top 50 next week Also a new peak of #75 for 'One Thing', I hope this can go on to be as big as WMYB. Boo at Paradise, Someone Like You and Rolling In The Deep dropping out. |

Perfect top 10 actually, although I'm going off Wild Ones!
Decent debuts for J-Lo and Demi, hope the former goes top 10 soon and the latter at least top 40! |

Was hoping ellie would be in the 50's but she should go top 50 next week if she maintains her position on iTunes.

Bieber is doing so well! In 2 weeks Boyfriend has sold a lot more than the latest Katy Perry single did, for example.

Oh well that's Gotye certain for #1 next week - after being used on Idol and Glee it looks like it has a huge enough lead to sell enough to combat the airplay he lacks on fun.!

Good week overall. New peak for Calvin I think and a big climb for Rumour Has It makes me happy. I wonder will they bother with the video for that after all.
Not as good a start for J-Lo as I'd expected but a very strong start for Demi, I wonder could that song actually be a hit. Ellie is blah, it's next week that will be exciting for her. |

I am thrilled as ever to see all of the British success. I genuinely like The Wanted and One Direction so I'm glad to see them both in the Top 5, and Adele is superb so to see Rumour Has It almost Top 20 after selling 80 trillion of her album is amazing.

Bieber is doing so well! In 2 weeks Boyfriend has sold a lot more than the latest Katy Perry single did, for example. Not that they're comparable in the slightest, but he hasn't. "Part of Me" currently stands at 1,238,000 sales, so Justin's got almost half a million to make up on that... |

Seems surreal to see The Wanted and One Direction simultaneously top five in the US! Very much approving of the general state of the top ten, two Canadian acts, two Brits, two Australians and one New Zealander to join all the US artists, great to see the US more open to international acts than a long time. Seems like a different chart to the one of eight years ago - everything that wasn't US urban was completely locked out of the upper reaches, there isn't even any urban IN this top ten!

Good to see Kanye and T.I. made the Hot 100.
Gutted that Kendrick Lamar missed out though. I thought he'd make it since he got pretty high on iTunes. It's such a good song. Such a good top 2 aswell. And it's good to see One Direction and The Wanted doing so well there. They may aswell just stay in the US tbh!! They seem very liked over there, whilst they get a lot of hate in the UK imo. |

Didn't expect 'One Thing' to re-enter this week, especially at #75, but a great week for the Brits. Gotye will probably be #1 next week or the week after, depends what exactly the streaming gap is and although Gotye is climbing well on airplay, fun. are still widening that gap right now.
Well you didn't mention that, and they're still not comparable as artists. No, you just read it the wrong way to what was actually intended. |

fun. are falling on streaming I think now, so that'll help Gotye for next week. I think fun. will win overall, but Gotye has a MASSIVE lead on iTunes now so maybe not. Not really fussed tbh, Gotye will get 6+ weeks at #1 anyway down the line I think.

Big climb for Rumour Has It, it's not quite taking off as quickly as I thought it would but it is making its way up there and should easily give her at least a fourth top ten hit. She said she may shoot a vid for it, did we ever hear anything about it? Ideally, will be nice if she can put in an AI appearance as airplay is starting to increase now. The song should go top 10 but a bit of promo can give her a top 5 (or even a #1 hit). |
