Stuff like Lucy's death, Peggy's death, Kathy's return, Carol's cancer, Janine's arrest etc. When she returned as 'ghost' last year, I genuinely felt like the show had really missed her and could do with her presence, and I am reminded of that in public appearances like at the Soap Awards where she's in fit health and would still be up for being in the show.

Pat Butcher brought an air of familiarity when on screen to casual watchers of the show or people who only watch it once in a while. Her character had such a strong presence of the show.
